- >You've been walking for hours.
- >The mountains are still distant.
- >Since the Titans, you have seen nothing.
- >You hear groans and shrieks.
- >But nothing can be seen.
- >It's creeping you out.
- >You're growing more tired with every step.
- >If you fall asleep here, will you ever wake up again?
- >The armor weighs a ton.
- >The helmet weighs a ton.
- >The sword is heavy.
- >So is the shield.
- >You just keep walking, one step at a time.
- >You remind yourself of the 23rd Psalm.
- >As you walk through this valley of death, you will fear no evil.
- >Because your Lord is still with you.
- >Even in Hell.
- >You need to keep reminding yourself this.
- >Especially in your hour of darkness.
- >Your journey reaches the mountains.
- >They are cliffs almost stretching ad infinitum.
- >You no longer hear groans.
- >Only roars.
- >And screams.
- >You can't climb in this armor.
- >Why did you even bring it?
- >You're a man of peace, how can you even have to fight this beast?
- >While you scout for a pass into the mountains, your mind goes back to when you first arrived in Equestria.
- >When you saw that rainbow in the sky, you knew God's promise of protection reached even into this world.
- >Until that rainbow crashed into you.
- >...and it ended up being a horse
- >You chuckle at that first encounter.
- >Your mind retracts to reality once you see some glowing from the cliff's wall.
- >It's the mouth of a cave!
- >You carefully step towards the entrance.
- >Peering in the cavern is unable to reveal the light source. You gulp and enter.
- >Inside this cave, you see vertical stairs.
- >This world is aged -- thousands of years old.
- >These stairs are week.
- >You clench your sword and begin traversing the climb.
- >The roars grow louder as you approach the top.
- >The glow seems brighter too.
- >The heat as you approach the zenith is almost unbearable.
- >But you must push on.
- >You pass the final step and turn around; you're now on the top of the cliffs.
- >You can hear a voice, it's almost that of a squeal.
- >"I have been patiently waiting for you.
- >You turn around and see a monstrous demon.
- >Quickly taking a step back, you arm your shield.
- "I seek no toil with you. Let me pass so I may leave this place."
- >The spirit simply stares at you and laughs.
- >At least you assume it's laughing.
- >It's making a horrible sound, nonetheless.
- >Still, it was worth a shot...
- >"It was a noble thing for those Titans to help you."
- >The dark being starts hovering closer as you instinctively back up.
- >"But it's been so many years since I had a decent meal." the spirit squeals.
- >Hearing this, you aim your sword at it, praying to God you can overcome the spirit.
- >The demon waves it's hand and fire swarms towards you.
- >You kick your shield up just in time.
- >The fire's push back slams you into a nearby rock; your helmet flies off.
- >Shit, the demon is hovering over you now.
- >"I'm afraid your journey ends here.
- >You can't believe this is happening.
- >After everything you've been through.
- >This demon is just going to stomp you out.
- >You will not stand for that.
- >But your sword is heavy.
- >And your armor is failing.
- >"Hold still you little insect, tonight I feast!"
- >You cautiously prepare your sword as the demon swarms into you at full speed.
- >He groans as you thrust the sword in to him.
- "By the Eternal God, I will defeat you!"
- >"You know nothing of god!" The demon snickers.
- >You feel a warm blade clever your flesh, sinking through the armor like a hot knife through butter.
- "Gahahh!"
- >You cry in pain, but you can't let up.
- "You will not vanquish me, foul demon! I am on a mission from God!"
- >You grasp the demon's sword, but it ignites into flame.
- "And my Lord will deliver me!
- >The demon laughs even more loudly.
- >"This has been fun, but I'm afraid it's time for you to parish."
- >With the force of a thousand men, he tosses you back onto the ground, and lifts his sword overhead.
- >You can't fight this battle.
- >You're not even a fighter.
- >You are a man of peace.
- >But you are also a man of God.
- >He will deliver you.
- >So you pray, "Lord, I know you're listening. Please aid me in this time of need!"
- >You close your eyes as the demon's sword comes down for its strike.
- >You release your sword and clench your cross.
- >If this beast ends you, at least you know where your faith stands.
- >You will not die grasping a weapon.
- >"RAHH!" The demon squealed in antagonizing pain.
- >You open your eyes to see a sword smashed through the demon's vertex
- >You see a large titan standing behind him.
- >You let out a gasp of relief, and relax into the ground for a moment.
- >The Titans finish off the demon while you rest.
- >You're still in pain, wounded by that demon's sword.
- >A Titan helps you up and hands you your weapon.
- >You look up at the giants and smile.
- "You told me this was suicide: an impossible battle."
- >You bend down and pick up your shield, but you eye contact remains with the Titans.
- "Yet you clothed me, and now you fight for me."
- >The original, the one that first noticed you. He looks into the landscape.
- >"This world seems to have an end, a Bronze wall stretching up into the sky." he whispers.
- >"You said you're on a mission from God."
- >He looks towards you.
- >"We've fought gods, that race of the alicorns. But we have failed."
- >A look of anguish seeps across his face.
- >"All but a few were condemned to this hell for it."
- >He turns back towards the glowing bronze.
- >"Perhaps your God would be merciful to us if we assist you."
- >You look down for a moment to think.
- >You close your eyes and usher some prayers.
- >Then you open your eyes and dart them towards the Titan.
- "I never got your name, Titan."
- >The Titan smiles once again.
- >"My name is Crius, son of Uranus."
- >You try to smile back through your pain.
- "Crius, if you help me, you will be in favor of my Lord."
- >At that moment, every Titan yelled a battlecry.
- >Crius looked down towards you once more.
- >"Then today is the day we storm the gates of Tartarus!"
