  1. >This is it
  2. >Princess Celestia has requested you to meet her in the throne room
  3. >It's been over three weeks since you were ripped from your world into Equestria
  4. >No one knows why or how you were brought here, and Celestia has been trying to find a way to return you home
  5. >She's been trying her hardest, you know. Still though, hope is all but nonexistent
  6. >Hopefully, your luck will change today. If not, you're stuck here.
  7. >Celestia promised that if there was a way back, she would have found it by now. Both of you are losing hope quickly.
  8. >Pushing any negative thoughts out of your head you push open the doors to the throne room
  9. >Celestia looks up from one of many books she's been reading over the past few weeks.
  10. >A smile plastered on her face, but from this distance it is too difficult to tell if it is real or not
  11. >You almost want to turn around and walk out of the room, but you press on
  12. >"Good to see you Anon."
  13. "Hello Princess"
  14. >Her smile never fading. By now you can see its forced
  15. >You know her answer
  16. >You don't want to hear it, and you're sure she doesn't want to tell you. Even so you still feel the need to know
  17. "Find anything Princess?"
  18.
  19.
  20. >Her smile drops and she sighs softly
  21. >No amount of preperation could help soften the blow.
  22. >Your forced optimism drops
  23. >"Truly I am sorry Anon. I did everything I could."
  24. "I know Princess, I know. Thank you."
  25. >Bowing slightly you turn around and leave, heading back to your bedroom.
  26. >No amount of luxury or royal treatment could help.
  27. >Though many people would kill to be in the position you're in, it's still not your old life
  28. >Your life back home wasn't perfect of course, but you lived the way you wanted
  29. >Now though, its too perfect.
  30. >Slunking through the door of your room you take off your clothes and plop onto your bed.
  31. >If only you could fall asleep here and not wake up again
  32. >Your wallowing was interrupted by light rasps at the door.
  33. >You hoped it wasn't Celestia. You werent mad at her, but you still wanted some time away from her.
  34. >Hoping whoever was at the door would leave if you ignored them you sat still
  35. >The knocks came again, followed by a voice
  36. >"Anon, please."
  37. >The voice was farmiliar, it was similar to celestia's but a bit louder and more formal.
  38.
  39.
  40. >Seeing as they didn't seem to want to leave you alone you decide to get up and answer the door.
  41. >You open the door to see the smiling face of Princess Luna
  42. >You had met Luna on occasion, and although you didn't know much about her she seemed to be nice
  43. >Similar to her sister, but a more brash and MUCH louder
  44. >Even so she seemed to care for her subjects, and apparently she considered you as one
  45. >"Good to see you Anon. I understand you might not be in the mood to talk so i shall keep this brief."
  46. >'Too long already'
  47. >"My sister and I would like to apologize for the circumstances you find yourself in."
  48. >'Can i sleep now?'
  49. >"However we promise to do all we can to make your time here as enjoyable as possible
  50. >'You talk too much'
  51. >"And please, if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know."
  52. >She finally finished yapping with a smile on her face.
  53. >Admittedly, it was kinda cute. All of the p0nies here are
  54. "Thanks" you mumble, and close the door rather rudely on her.
  55.
  56. >You hear a faint "Humph" from the hall and return to your bed.
  57. >'Sorry Princess, im not in the mood'
  58. >Her visit causes to realize that you can't just sit here the rest of your life, although you can try
  59. >Boredom however overcomes your sadness and you finally sit up
  60. >It's nearly lunchtime and you aren't very hungry.
  61. >It would be rude not to show up, and you should really thank Celestia for going through all the trouble she did
  62. >Plus you should probably apologize to Luna
  63. >Fixing your clothes you slowly open the door and make your way towards the dining hall
  64. >You enter to find Luna and Celestia having a conversation
  65. >They both stop and look at you
  66. >Putting on your best smile
  67. "Hello"
  68. >Celestia speaks up "Hello Anon, I trust you are feeling better."
  69. "Yeah, a bit thanks."
  70. >Celestia smiles and taps her hoof
  71. >Servants come in and begin serving food while you take your seat
  72. "Celestia? I wanted to say thanks, for everything you have done."
  73. >"It's no trouble Anon. I care for all those under the sun."
  74. >She smiles and you await your food
  75. >Lunch is good, the typical salad and some cakes for desert.
  76. >The two seem to be finishing when you speak up
  77.
  78. "Luna, may I speak to you for a minute?"
  79. >"Of course."
  80. >The two of you get up and head into the next room leaving Celestia alone
  81. >"Something troubling you, my friend?"
  82. "I just wanted to apologize for the way I acted earlier, being rude to you and all."
  83. >Luna smiles warmly "Tis no trouble Anon. I understand you are going through a rough time. My offer still stands; If you need anything, please ask.
  84. "Thank you Luna. Im going to head back to my room, perhaps we can talk a bit after dinner tonight?"
  85. >"Of course Anon. I'll see you later.
  86. >You smile a bit and head back to your room thinking on your current situation.
  87. >On one hand, you lost all you had worked for
  88. >On the other you gained a new life, and you're quickly finding a friend in Luna.
  89. >Still though, memories of home flood your brain and you can't seem to see the obvious positives to your situation.
  90. >With mind clogged, you decide to sleep until dinner and your eventual talk with Luna.
  91. >Hopefully that will help clear your head
  92.
  93. >Your alarm goes off and you slap the clock on the table next to you
  94. >groaning you stand up and make your way to the closet where you keep your clothes
  95. >throwing on your clothes you head to the bathroom to make sure you look presentable
  96. >one bathroom trip later and you head out of your room and start towards the dining hall
  97. >walking through the massive halls of canterlot castle you can't help but admire the work that must have went into it
  98. >all of the walls are covered in paintings and tapestries hang from every window
  99. >nothing like you'd ever see at home
  100. >home. Damnit
  101. >you had nearly forgotten about why you had slept in the first place
  102. >these things have a way of creeping back to you, whether you want them to or not
  103. >You continue your walk, but with shoulders slumped a bit and enter the dining hall
  104. >You are a bit early, and Celestia and Luna haven't arrived yet.
  105. >You wait in silence for a few moments until Luna comes in followed by Celestia
  106. >"Hello Anon"
  107. >"Hello"
  108. "Evening your majesties"
  109. >They take their seats and servants immediately rush out carrying trays of food.
  110. >At least the food here is good, despite a lack of meat.
  111. >Small conversations are held between Luna and Celestia and the two later excuse themselves.
  112. >You can see the light outside change as the two move their celestial bodies.
  113. >They return a few moments later and begin thanking various p0nies for their service at dinner.
  114. >"Rest well Anon"And wth that, Celestia leaves the room.
  115. "Good night"
  116. >You and Luna are alone now, and Luna finally breaks the ice
  117. >"Would you like to visit the library Anon? You still want to talk right?
  118. "Yes, that would be fine."
  119. >The two of you exit and make your way to the library.
  120.
  121. >Luna trots ahead as you slowly slump behind her.
  122. >Every few steps she would turn around to make sure you were following her
  123. >The two of you enter the library, and make your way to wherever luna was leading you
  124. >She waves to a librarian as you pass by
  125. >Luna leads you to a secluded corner far away from the entrance
  126. >Here there are a few sofas and a fireplace burning away.
  127. >"I like to come here sometimes, its very relaxing and gives me time to read a bit."
  128. >You take a seat on a couch and Luna hops up and gets comfortable next to you.
  129. >She sighs softly and looks to you, egging you to begin speaking
  130. "Im sorry Luna, about earlier and about now. I hope im not bumming you out."
  131. >Smiling warmly "Not at all Anon"
  132. "Thank you Luna. I just dont know what to think right now. I had a great life and suddenly im ripped from it. Im just trying
  133. to understand why. Why me? Why not someone who wanted something like this? I just feel like im out of place here. Not only from
  134. the way I look, but from the way this entire place is. I just feel like I dont fit in, and I want to go back home."
  135. >"I understand what its like to want to go home. For so long i waited. For days, years, decades, then centuries I wanted to
  136. go back home. I too was ripped away from my home, and all I wanted to do was return."
  137. "What happened?"
  138. >"I lost control. I let my jealousy take over me. I created a monster, born from the hatred I held for my sister. She festered within me
  139. and one day... I snapped.
  140.
  141. >By now Luna had small tears running down her face, you could tell it hurt her to tell you these things and yet she pressed on
  142. >"I wont go into the details as much of it is a blur for me. The two of us fought, over something that could have been easily resolved.
  143. I know sister had only me in mind when she banished me, but it still hurt. For the first few days i felt nothing but anger, but as time went on
  144. I came to realize just what I had thrown away. I now directed my anger not only at the nightmare within me, but also myself for not
  145. being able to see all that was in front of me."
  146. >Despite the tears streaming down her face she managed to put on a smile. A genuine smile filled with something...
  147. >Hope
  148. >Hope for you
  149. >Hope that you will make something out of the opportunity you've been given
  150. >Luna was no longer the princess of the night, or goddess of the moon
  151. >She was a friend
  152. >A friend you can turn to when in trouble
  153. >A friend who has been through turmoil and managed to come out head held high
  154. >A massive smile forms on your face and you lean forward and pull Luna into a tight embrace which she graciously returns
  155. >She begins crying hard into your chest as some of your own tears drip onto her head
  156. >To help her out a bit you rub her neck and back softly
  157. >She only holds tighter
  158. >Time passes and her sobs slowly die out, replaced by her gentle breathing.
  159. >She lifts her head up and looks into your eyes
  160. >"Thank you"
