Title: Video Editors Author: nanyobis Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/xGhU7ZyR First Edit: Friday 6th of December 2013 07:51:06 PM CDT Last Edit: Friday 6th of December 2013 07:51:06 PM CDT Here's my personal list of video editors or semi-decent "good" video editors.   You can do a web search and find some but their recommendations are shit. Most of them are interested in "money", "views", and "page ranks". So needless to say any web search for this is spammed to shit. The internet sucks now since 2010.   Video Editors, Summarized 1. Sony Vegas. http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware $100+. Tried 11. Sucks. Files incompatible. 12 good? Lots of effects. 2. Adobe Premiere CS2 http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html Free? 2005. Old. Win7HP broke. http://trythistv.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=242 3. Adobe Premiere. The new and non-CS2 versions that cost money. More updated and compatible. 4. Windows Movie Maker for Windows XP Good with video and audio splitting, bad with compatibility. 5. Windows Movie Maker for Windows 7 Bad with video and audio splitting, good with compatibility. 6. iMovie Apple's Mac equivalent of windows movie maker. But gets updated?. 7. Youtube Video Editor WWW. Good for no CPU usage. Bad for independence. 8. FFMpeg http://ffmpeg.org/ Command line. It works for simple video "trimming". 9. Virtualdub Plugin. http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act=ST&f=7&t=15093 Let's virtualdub accept more if not most file types. Simple trimming. 10. Avidemux Like ffmpeg and virtualdub plugin. Simple trimming.   Video Editors, Extended. 1. Sony Vegas. http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware Sony Vegas 11 is a good editor but like everything is incompatible. 2. Adobe Premiere CS2 http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html Adobe Premiere CS2 is free now but it's 2005 old and won't work on Win7 HP. 3. Adobe Premiere. The new and non-CS2 versions that cost money. More updated and compatible. 4. Windows Movie Maker for Windows XP Better than XP. Can't find a version of it for Windows 7. 5. Windows Movie Maker for Windows 7 >sucks compared to wmm xp >can't separate sound and video like wmm xp >more file types for it work than with sony vegas 11 >non instantly compatible files take forever to be load with long load time >non instantly compatible files may have no sound or other bug etc. >any downloaded youtube video will likely be compatible with short load time >it's not good or ethical to be this dependent on 1 website or the internet 6. iMovie I don't use mac and don't plan to so I honestly don't know. 7. Youtube Video Editor I more so upload videos to youtube so they're compatible with other video editors. 8. FFMpeg http://ffmpeg.org/ 9. Virtualdub Plugin. http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act=ST&f=7&t=15093 10. Avidemux >ffmpeg, virtual dub plugin, avidemex >good for simple trmming >don't really have any good features for video editing like layers etc. >a lot of not all fail to import non-video files like mp3's etc.   Credits and "Sources": Internet Anonymous /g/, >>>/g/38057333 YouTube (Ugh) and the YTP (youtube poop) "community"   Note: Haven't tried a lot of these.
