A legit copy of Minecraft running version 1?.?1?0?.?2?  1.8 (though 1.10.2 will work too, but they'll be a couple glitches. Nothing game breaking). Luna plans on migrating it to 1.10.2 eventually, but couldn't the first day because he was dying.

It's for textures necessary for the guns plugin the server is using.

They've added a lot of shit.
1.8 saw the introduction of slime blocks, allowing for complex redstone contraptions
1.9 changed combat so it's no longer about click spam
1.10.2 added new mobs like polars bears and certain zombies that don't burn during the day

Because natural ore spawns are virtually nonexistent, every now and then the stone block you're mining will drop rare ores in block form (so a diamond ore block). Standard spawning heights apply (e.g. diamonds only drop under Y 16)
