  4. Be Lyra
  5. Walking to Canterlot High
  6.
  7. >Sigh, another Monday, another morning ruined.
  8. >Worst of it is that Nolan's been following me in his car all morning.
  9. >Well, at least the visions aren't as plentiful as yesterday.
  10. >Speaking of my powers, I need to talk to Twilight. See if she's had any progressions on the cure.
  11. >I wonder how the week would be?
  12.
  13. >As you walk along the sidewalk to school, you see Nolan's expensive as hell car on the road.
  14. >His driver honks to you.
  15. >You give him the middle finger.
  16. >He drives closer and rolls down the window.
  17. >"Is that a way to treat your good old captor?"
  18. "Fuck off, Nolan."
  19. >"Come on, let's be friendly about this. We're not talking as business associates right now..."
  20. "Wipe that goddamn smug look on your face."
  21. >Before you could move on, the clouds roared of lightning and thunder.
  22. >Crap.
  23. >It immediately rains, leaving you half soaked.
  24. >Nolan opens his car door, inviting you in.
  25. "No piranas here, Lyra."
  26. >Inside his car you see Amy right beside him.
  27. >...
  28. "Fine. Move!"
  29. >You went inside the car and fastened your seatbelt.
  30. >You then closed the door and tried to ignore everything Nolan's asking you.
  31. >"Better here than there, Ly."
  32. "..."
  33. >"Look, Lyra. Perhaps our first meeting wasn't the best first impression."
  34. "..."
  35. >"I, as a good citizen of this fine city, apologize for the torture. I had to be cautious abou-"
  36. "Nolan, cut the crap and tell me why you followed me all morning."
  37. >"All morning? It's merely a coincidence!"
  38. "Nolan, I walked around a building three times, and you persisted in going Sam Fisher with your car."
  39. >"Err..."
  40. "You're a terrible lier, Nolan. You're not fit for court."
  41. >Nolan finally shuts his mouth.
  42. >Amy just silently watches.
  43. >Complete silence for the next thirty seconds.
  44.
  45. >Finally, Nolan speaks.
  46. >"Since I'm better at speaking professionally..."
  47. >Fucking A.
  48. >"...How's the search for the cure? Surely Norman's people are working on it thanks to my...funding."
  49. "I'm just about to ask Norman and his 'people' today."
  50. >"Speaking of which, how is Norman?"
  51. "I don't know."
  52. >"What do you mean? Aren't you two..."
  53. "I swear to Faust, if you say we're a couple I will break your car's window."
  54. >>"You mean you guys aren't?" Amy asks
  55. "What? Just because two people of the opposite sex are hanging out, it means we're dating?"
  56. >>"W-well, no, but everyone in school's been speculating about it!"
  57. "I thought you two know better than to listen to gossip!"
  58. >"Lyra, we run a very...sensitive business. It would be stupid for us not to have ears somewhere in the school."
  59. "Well if you have ears, why not use them to know how your Norman is doing."
  60. >"We'd rather hear it from one of his friends. I know Brad isn't exactly the type to let his bro go, but with you and your...rumored strained relationship with the guy..."
  61. "DESPITE our differences, I still harbor hatred for you more than I do for old beanie boy."
  62. >You then remember the vision you had about Brad and Norman on the building, along with a lone gunman.
  63. >After the gunshot, you couldn't see anything. Will Norman die at that day?
  64. >If he dies, you get to have his ring. No need for Vinyl's necklace.
  65. >No need to wait any longer for Twilight's cure...but...
  66.
  67. >Nolan's car has finally reached the school.
  68. >You spoke to him in the most serious voice you have.
  69. "Nolan."
  70. >"Hmm?"
  71. "What happens?"
  72. >"I'm sorry?"
  73. "What happens after Norman takes care of your precious cure and your rival gangs? Do you think a vigilante like him wouldn't go after you, one day or another?"
  74. >"Well, I already have a pla-"
  75. "Blackmail doesn't last forever. Frankly, either you or Norman dropping dead is fine by me."
  76. >You then open the door and exit his car.
  77. >You walk to the school entrance, despite the rain.
  78. >Derpy greets you with a "Hi Lyra!"
  79. >Out of your day being ruined by Nolan, you ignore her.
  80.
  81. >Nolan and Amy continued to discuss in the car.
  82. >>"Well, that went well."
  83. >"So much for getting a proper introduction to Norman using his lady friend."
  84. >>"I told you you should have just followed Brad."
  85. >"Yeah, well, Brad already has another stalker."
  86. >>"Wait, someone is stalking Brad and not the other way around?"
  87. >Nolan points to his side.
  88. >Rarity and a somewhat confused Octavia hides by the flag pole.
  89. >>"What in Faust's name are they doing?"
  90.
  91. Be Brad
  92. Canterlot High
  93.
  94. >Phew, made it, and my hair's still looking goood.
  95. >Only my shirt's a bit wet.
  96. >Nothing like some fanservice for the ladies of this school to start a Monday morning.
  97. >Oh yeaaah.
  98. >As you close your locker, Rarity shows up out of nowhere.
  99.
  100. >"BRAD! DAaaarling~!"
  101. "Wah! Rarity? What brings you here?"
  102. >My wet shirt must have some sort of chick magnet powers or something.
  103. >"Well, I never got to finish our conversation last night."
  104. "Oh right, a date..."
  105. >"I mean you ARE single, right? You've been chasing skirts all year long without settling for a relationship."
  106. "W-well, I..."
  107. >"Listen, darling. I'm sure you've already met Octavia, yes?"
  108. "The German? Didn't you bring her at the picnic?"
  109. >"I did, and she seemed REALLY interested in you."
  110. "S-she is? I thought she was one of those high class-"
  111. >"Oh please, darling. Who couldn't resist that handsome face with that wet shirt."
  112. >Okay, now this is getting suspicious.
  113. "Rarity, what are you planning? Is this about Norman and Lyra?"
  114. >"What? Of course not..."
  115. >She twitches.
  116. >"My friend is just interested in you, and, as a good friend, obliged to set you up with a blind date with her."
  117. "But I already met her at the picnic."
  118. >"Fine, blindfolded date. Happy?"
  119. >She then gives you a paper with the schedule.
  120. >"A true gentleman never leaves his date stranded. Ta-ta~"
  121. >...
  122. >what have I gotten myself into?
  123.
  124. >"Hey Brad..."
  125. "GYAAH!"
  126. >Norman's standing behind you, eyes tired, soaking wet and smelling pretty funky.
  127. "Jeez, Norman, you scared the living bejeezus out of me."
  128. >Norman stares at you with those sleepy eyes.
  129. "Y-you alright, buddy? You look like shit."
  130. >"Was that Aryan just now?"
  131. "Rarity? Yeah. She set me up with a blindfold date with Octavia. We heroes know thats how traps are set, right?"
  132. >"..."
  133. "Dude... are you drunk or something?"
  134. >"No, man. I just...I think my medication's just making me calm."
  135. "Medication?"
  136. >"Oh, umm, nothing."
  137. "Norman, what's up with you?"
  138. >"I don't know. Spent the whole night with a hot scientist...ya know what I mean?" Norman said in a stoner voice.
  139. "Duude. You're high aren't you?"
  140. >"I'm not, man! I swallowed a pill last night from Viri and had this depressing side effect..."
  141. "Oh man, did you just buy some depressants from Viri Scientia?"
  142. >"Duuuuude..."
  143. >Crap, Norman's high.
  144. >You carry him by the shoulder.
  145. "It's alright bro, I'm carrying you to the nurse's office."
  146. >"No, wait. No more clinics! No more science shit!"
  147. "Dude, you can't even stand, let alone stay sane in class."
  148. >"I'm fiiiine. Do my eyes say that I'm stoned?"
  149. >You check. No signs of redness.
  150. >Still, he's not fit to go to class.
  151.
  152. >Arrive at clinic.
  153. >"BRO, NO NO NO... no more doctors...and opherahtin tables!"
  154. "Dude, you're speaking like Applejack!"
  155. >"Ugurgh."
  156. >He stumbles around the hall until he grabs hold of a locker lever.
  157. >Since he's out of his mind, he accidentally pulls the locker door off the locker.
  158. "PSST! DUDE!"
  159. >Norman grabs a hold of himself, in a state of panic.
  160. >"GYAH!"
  161. >He slams the locker door back at the locker.
  162. >"Shit, did anyone see that?"
  163. "No. Dude, you need to lay down."
  164. >"Brad, anywhere but there!" he says, spiralling by the hall.
  165. "Okay, okay! I'll take you to the school counsellor. I'm sure she has a couch for those trouble teens she keeps getting as visitors."
  166. >"Peeehhhrrrfeeect!"
  167. >Brad then takes you to the counsellor's room.
  168. >No one's in there. You lay Norman down the couch.
  169. >"uguuhh"
  170. "You'll be alright, buddy."
  171. *RIIIIIINNGGG***
  172. >School bell.
  173. "Gotta go, homie. Catch up with you later."
  174. >You exit the hall and rushed back to your class room before that cursed hall monitor comes and gives you a ticket for running and being late.
  175.
  176. Be Cherry Jubilee
  177. Viri Scientia
  178.
  179. >"Umm, I think you gave him a really strong dose, Mistress..."
  180. "Err..."
  181. >Welp. A miscalculation at my part.
  182. >Good news is, he's not 'drunk insane' to start babbling on abou-
  183. *beep**meep**beeep*
  184. >"Mistress, the nanobots!"
  185. >Norman's body is combating the nanobots! Looks like he has a tougher immune system than I would have imagined.
  186. >"Do you suppose the ring is countering the nanobots?"
  187. "Most likely. I need to burrow deeper into his muscles so the immune system would have a hard time catching up."
  188. >Crap, I hope I don't kill the kid. I need him, now more than ever.
  189.
  190. >The nanobots transfer all the way through his body.
  191. >"UP! UP! DOWN! DOWN!" yelled your messenger-slash-assistant.
  192. >God, it's like playing those videogames. Last game I ever played was Space Invaders. I wonder if they released a remake of that.
  193. >"LEFT! RIGHT! LEFT! RIGHT!"
  194. >Dodging white blood cells like a maniac.
  195. >"B! A! B! A! SELECT! START!"
  196. "What are you babbling about?"
  197. >"Oh sorry mistress. I just tho-LOOK OUT!"
  198. >Monster white blood cell coming at 6 o clock.
  199. >Time to shift to MAXIMUM OVER DRIVE!
  200. "DRIIIIIIFFFTTT!!!"
  201. >The nanobots drift from left to right, going from his lungs to his spine.
  202. >"MISTRESS, WATCH THE SPINE!"
  203. "GAK!"
  204. >Two seconds later, nearly 80% of the nanobots have drilled in his inner muscles.
  205. "Status report?"
  206. >Wheat goes to the screen and looks at the results.
  207. >"Mistress, 20% of the nanobots have been eliminated."
  208. "We still have 80, that will do."
  209. >"Another thing, mistress. We can't hear from that area."
  210. "I know. However we still have use for our little nanobots."
  211. >She points to the screen.
  212. "We have Noir-Man's location everyday."
  213. >She stands up and goes outside.
  214. "Anyway, I think it's time I did part two of the plan."
  215. >"That is?"
  216. "Visit an old acquaintance. His father, Richard Normal"
  217. >"Visiting a cop?"
  218. "Got to provide an alibi for his son's disappearance somehow."
  219. >She goes to the shower rooms.
  220. "Fetch me my towels."
  221. >"Yes, mistress."
  222.
  223. Be Norman
  224. The Void
  225.
  226. >Dark void, floating rocks. I'm sleeping again.
  227. >In your area, however, there are multiple green people in carpenter's clothes doing carpenter shit all over the place.
  228. >"Hey hey,  look who's back!"
  229. >The purple-haired woman with the fedora is back, and she's pretty smug.
  230. >You move your lips. They're tight shut, as per usual.
  231. >"You know? The place is looking pretty good now. We're making a new general"
  232. >You have no idea what the woman is talking about.
  233. >"Oh and you're being invaded by nanobot spiders."
  234. >You nod your head, saying that you already know about those.
  235. >"Well, now they're running all over your body. Who knows? They might even make you dance."
  236. >Your eyes widen.
  237. >"Yo, anon! A little more to the left!"
  238. >She's over seeing a construction of 'Pinkamena General'.
  239. >This place is crazy.
  240. >"Alright, now let's check up on what's going on while you're sleeping!"
  241. >She grabs a remote and clicks the power button. A large transparent screen appears in the sky.
  242. >The screen shows you sleeping by the councillor's couch. Nothing unusual.
  243. >The screen then shows a woman my age. Green complexion, brunette.
  244. >She holds some files while she's...biting her lips while staring at you sleep.
  245. "..."
  246. >"Well well well, a new woman in my little Norman's group of harems. Good job, you're stealing more women than Brad by now."
  247. >She gives you the thumbs up.
  248. >You give her the middle finger.
  249. >"Oh don't be so mad. Besides, she's not your Gwen Stacy...well not so far at least."
  250. >She checks her phone. They have reception here?
  251. >"Whoops, looks like I got to run, and it seems that the depressant of Viri's drug is wearing off."
  252. >Thank god. I thought she's going to make me go through Fingerbang's Brad porn again.
  253. >She then takes out a stun gun and aims right at you.
  254. >"Well, you have five seconds to run."
  255. >Shit
  256. >You turned 180 degrees and ran like hell
  257. >"FIVE, FOUR, ONE!"
  258. *Pew*
  259. *BZZZZZTTTTZTZTZTZ*
  260. >SHHHHIIIIIIITTT....
  261.
  262. Be Awake
  263. Councillor's Office
  264.
  265. "BAAAAAH!"
  266. >"AAH~"
  267. "Shit, my ass!"
  268. >You grabbed your ass and instinctively checked for stun darts.
  269. >Rubbing your right butt cheek, you just remembered you were dreaming.
  270. >Phew.
  271. >You then look at your right, and you see that female student who's red like a rose from blushing.
  272. "I...err..."
  273. >She shakes her head, probably clearing her thoughts.
  274. >She then clears her voice. She sounds professional.
  275. >"Before you speak, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Sophia Sophisticata, and I'm one of Councillor Cadence's wards."
  276. "Uhh..."
  277. >"Anyways, I'll cut to the chase. Councellor Cadence talked to your blue-haired friend and she was supposed to talk to you about, well..."
  278. "What?"
  279. >"Your friend thinks you've been doing drugs."
  280. "Ahh no. No, it was all a misunderstanding."
  281. >"It is?"
  282. "Yeah, I-"
  283. >Before you could continue, Councillor Cadence got back from outside.
  284. >>"Thanks for looking after Norman, Sophie. I can take it from here."
  285. >"Ahh, y-yes, Mrs. Armor.
  286. >Cadence is pregnant. She holds her belly with care.
  287. >Sophie then shakes your hand and says;
  288. >"It was nice meeting you."
  289. "Uhh..."
  290. >She exits the door. Reminds me of Fluttershy.
  291. >>"You and Sophie had some time to converse or did you just wake up?"
  292. "I just woke up, actually."
  293. >>"Well, she seems to like you."
  294. "I think she was watching me sleep."
  295.
  296. >>"..."
  297.
  298. "Anyway, let's change back the subject. She said Brad talked to you?"
  299. >>"Yes, Norman. He told me you were, how we should say, 'shooting up' bad vibes in your system."
  300. >She sits down by her desk.
  301. >>"Norman, if you're a junkie..."
  302. "N-no! It's all a big misunderstanding.
  303. >>"Really now?"
  304. "I...I just ran into some people, mixed up some groceries and next thing you know, I drank something I wasn't supposed to. It's a long story, I don't think I understood myself as well."
  305. >"So you're not a junkie?"
  306. "Hell no."
  307. >"Thank goodness."
  308. "So yeah, I'm not a junkie."
  309. >" I simply care for our school's students."
  310. >She looks at you carefully.
  311. >You show her a face of guilt and confusion.
  312. >>"Is there something else that's been bothering you, Norman?"
  313. "W-what do you mean?"
  314. >>"You seemed troubled"
  315. "Well..."
  316. >>"Come on, Norman, you can tell me, and you can have the upmost confidence that I wouldn't tell anyone."
  317. >She seems sincere. Still, I need to keep it safe.
  318. "Well, you see, there's this thing..."
  319. >She gets her pen and writes down notes.
  320. "I'm kind of torn on what company I should work for once I graduate from this school."
  321. >>"Isn't it too early to decide for that?"
  322. "Well yeah, but hypothetically speaking..."
  323. >You relax for a moment before continuing.
  324. "Suppose there are two dishes, both of them look delicious, however, the left dish was cooked from a young lamb, undercooked and it still has its bones, but still looks delicious"
  325. >>"Okay, and the other?"
  326. "The right dish is a perfectly cooked lamb, but filled with enough condiments that you're suspicious of how fresh or boneless it really is. The first bite of it and it's the same as the left dish."
  327. >>"Uh-huh..."
  328. "Both dishes represents both their cooks. One of the dishes must be eaten before I leave the area.
  329. >>"Okay..."
  330. "So what I'm trying to say is, since both lambs are obviously bad, which one is the lesser of two evils, or something?"
  331. >>"Well, it's not my place to guess what you're alluding to, but..."
  332. >She fixes her seat while adjusting her reading glasses.
  333. >>"THe first one is an inexperienced, dangerous but successful company while the other is an suspicious but successfully vague company, yes?"
  334. "Something like that."
  335. >>"And you're asking for advice on whether or not you should trust one against the other?"
  336. "Yeah."
  337. >She bites her pen, thinking hard.
  338. >>"Have you considered a third option?"
  339. "Third?"
  340. >>"Yes, since you can't leave without the lambs being untouched, why not ask the cooks to eat their rival's lamb?"
  341. "Excuse me?"
  342. >>"Let them eat it, see how they react, and then you leave, knowing that you don't have to touch those foul dishes."
  343. "Err..."
  344. >>"Well, hypothetically speaking of course."
  345. >Making the others eat their own lambs...hmm...
  346. >Not sure what to make of that,  but it gave me an idea.
  347. "Uhh, thanks Mrs. Armor."
  348. >>"It was no trouble. DO  you have anything else you would like to talk about?"
  349. "N-nothing comes to mind."
  350. >>"Alright. Before you go, do take this hallpass."
  351. "No need. My class is near here."
  352. >>"I seriously consider it, unless you want to feel Axel's annoying wrath."
  353. "Axel? Oh the hall monitor guy who's a nazi at his job?"
  354. >>"Yeah, I mean, bad way to say it, but yes, the nazi hall monitor."
  355. "Heh, he's more evil than Octavia, but alright."
  356. >You take the hall pass and went out.
  357.
  358. >As you walk to your class, you pass by your locker.
  359. >>>>"Psstt, Norman!"
  360. >Wat.
  361. >You look around the hall.
  362. >>>>"NORMAN, YOUR LOCKER!"
  363. >Shit, did someone lock someone up in my locker?
  364. >You open your locker and out comes Gilda.
  365. "GILDA?!"
  366. >>>>"Sup, beanie!"
  367. "What the hell are you doing in my locker?"
  368. >"Dug my way in there."
  369. >She shows you the hole and dirt at the bottom of your locker.
  370. "Faust, Gilda! Couldn't you wait until the end of the day to talk to me? Or even stalk me?"
  371. >>>>"No can do, Norman. I'm being paid to stalk you and your perfect ass."
  372. "What?"
  373. >>>>"Have you seen your ass? It's perfect! But that's not the point."
  374. >Well that explains why that Sophia girl is blushing when I rubbed my ass.
  375. >>>>"Point is, I'm hired to keep an eye on you."
  376. "That so? Where the hell were you last night?"
  377. >>>>"Wait, did something happen last night?"
  378. >Shit, slip of the tongue. Got to improvise.
  379. "Uhh...I was...lonely?"
  380. >"..."
  381. >She hits your head.
  382. >>>>"Idiot."
  383. >Before she could speak some more, someone yells.
  384. >>>"HALT STUDENT!"
  385. >The hall monitor throws his axe at your direction.
  386. "GYAH!"
  387. >>>>"Who's he?"
  388. "Hall Monitor. You better go. Trespassing on a school IS illegal."
  389. >>>>"Right."
  390. >She throws a book at Axel and blinds him for a second.
  391. >>>"ACK! HEY!"
  392. >She goes back in the locker and goes through the hole she made.
  393. >Axel walks in as soon as she closes the locker room.
  394. >>>"Assaulting an officer of the hall? That will cost you a week's detention."
  395. "Dude, it wasn't me."
  396. >He looks for a moment.
  397. >>>"You're the only one here."
  398. "She...uhh...alright fine it was me."
  399. >>>"Hmph."
  400. >He writes you a ticket and stamps it on  your forehead.
  401. >He then asks for your hallpass.
  402. >>>"Hall pass, now."
  403. "Alright, alright!"
  404. >You show him your hallpass. He checks it with intensity.
  405. >>>"Alright, you're clear."
  406. *RIIIIIIINNNGGG*
  407. "Wait, it's lunchtime already?"
  408. >>>"Apparently so."
  409. >He then telepathically retrieves his axe and slides back to the janitor's office.
  410. >...
  411. >I don't think he's even from this earth.
  412.
  413. *GrUmBlE*
  414. >Stomach is empty, I need to recharge.
  415. >You go to the cafeteria to get some food.
  416.
  417. >As you walk, someone greets you from behind.
  418. >"Norman!"
  419. >You look behind to see Nolan and his girl, Amy.
  420. "Fuck off, Nolan."
  421. >"Heh, that's what Lyra said to me this morning too."
  422. >He walks with you to the cafeteria.
  423. >"How goes the-"
  424. "My people aren't done with it yet."
  425. >You try to get some distance away from Nolan.
  426. >He just keeps coming after you like a magnet.
  427. >"I was going to ask how goes the day. Your day."
  428. "The hell do you care about my day? Don't you have Gilda paid to stalk my whole day?"
  429. >"I think it would be best to have a healthy relationship with my special little co-worker."
  430. >You look at him with anger.
  431. >"Come on, you and your blue haired friend owe me."
  432. "Owe you what? That you tried to blackmail us into working with you? That you made us your pawn for something that Vinyl caused to herself accidentally."
  433. >"Don't you talk about Vinyl."
  434. "Or what? You're going to lock us up in a fish pond? Scream my identity to the whole school?"
  435. >"I..."
  436. "Look Nolan, I'm asking you once. Back off. You already did enough to Lyra, and affected my life more than this ring has."
  437.
  438. >Saying that, you storm away, going to the cafeteria.
  439. >Nolan just looks in defeat.
  440. >"Ah...I'm not good with this."
  441. >>"So I've noticed." said Amy.
