  4. Be Lyra
  5. Secret facility of Nolan's factory
  6. Cornered by Gilda and Amy
  7.
  8. >Shit, too dizzy to stop time, and I don't have my bow with me.
  9.
  10. >Amy throws a knife at where you're standing. You dodge it in time.
  11. >She's trying to disable your feet!
  12. >"HURAAAGH"
  13. "ARGH"
  14. >Gilda grabs you with a bear-hug grip.
  15. >Dammit, if only she had testicles, I would have stomped it off of her.
  16. >Amy walks at you. You struggle in Gilda's arms.
  17.
  18. >"I won't ask again. What are you doing here?"
  19. >After much struggling, you bite Gilda's arm.
  20. >"AAAHRGH!"
  21. >You escape her grasp and you proceed to kick Amy in the stomach.
  22. >"UMF!"
  23. >Time to get the hell out of...AHHHH!
  24. "SHI...ARRGHAA..."
  25. >Another vision clouds your mind and sight. You're paralyzed.
  26. >"Quick, tie her up!" Amy said, leaning over from the stomach pain.
  27.
  28. >         {THE VISION.}
  29. >        {WHAT'S HAPPENING?}
  30. >       {FROM ACROSS THE THUNDER IN THE CLOUDS}
  31. >      {FROM BEYOND THE BUILDINGS OF THE CITY, IT IS LOUD}
  32. >     {NOIR-MAN AND COMMANDER UNDERWEAR}
  33. >    {TATTERED AND BLOODIED THE COSTUMES THEY WEAR}
  34. >   {THEY FIGHT EACH OTHER IN THE WINTER NIGHT}
  35. >  {AS A MAN FROM THE DISTANCE READIES HIS RIFLE AT THE FIGHT}
  36. > {A SHOT WAS HEARD AS RAINBOW DASH AND PINKAMENA LOOKED ON}
  37. >{IT IS NOW DAWN}
  38.
  39.
  40. >"I got the tranq dart!" yelled Gilda.
  41. >"She proceeds to stab your arm with the dart.
  42. >It took only 4 seconds for the tranq to spread in your body.
  43. >You pass out, with the vision imprinted on your mind.
  44.
  45. Be Norman
  46. Following Nolan through the factory's tour
  47.
  48. >Lyra's been gone for a long time.
  49. >Luckily, Brad's acting too much like a kid in a /toy/ store for Nolan to notice other normal people.
  50. >I hope she's alright...
  51.
  52. >*RING*
  53. >"Excuse me, fellas. I have to take this."
  54. >Brad finally caught on, whispering to me:
  55. >"Psst, yo! Where's Lyra?"
  56. "She went out..."
  57. >"So that's why I feel pretty good for the past half-hour. No bitch to ruin the moment!"
  58. >Aww, you guys are like sibling children.
  59.
  60. >After Nolan puts away his phone, he tells us the news.
  61. >"Sorry, fellas. There's been a...family emergency, so I guess the employment would have to wait."
  62. "It's no problem, Nolan."
  63. >"Say, weren't there three of you guys?"
  64. "Lyra had to leave early."
  65. >"I see...Well, it's nice to have some company in my factory. I'll see you two tommorow, I guess.
  66. >"Aww man, we never even got paid!"
  67. "Brad, we barely did anything useful except follow Nolan around."
  68. >"Hey, you wanna go fight crime tonight or something?"
  69. "Ehh, sure. Why not."
  70. >"Bradical!"
  71.
  72. >Great, I got a date with Brad...
  73.
  74. Be Lyra
  75. Nolan's interrogation  room
  76. >Waking up from your slumber.
  77. >You feel a prick by your arm.
  78. >It's a dart. Probably a sleeping dart.
  79. >Damn my visions. It's not even winter yet.
  80.
  81. >You're alone in a small dark room.
  82. >Only the lightbulb above you provides some light.
  83. >You deduce that this is a place for hostages, or interrogations.
  84. >Despite the darkness, you can see several torture tools by the far end of the room.
  85. >Crap.
  86. >You struggle but you're tied up, hanging from the ceiling.
  87. >You try to scream, but your mouth has been duct taped.
  88. >Not even your powers can save you now.
  89.
  90. >Someone opens the door. It's too dark to see who it is.
  91. >"She's here, sir."
  92. >Sounds like Amy's goon's voice. Gilda, if I recall.
  93. >Nolan comes to me from the dark.
  94. >His eyes glaring with distrust and annoyance.
  95. >He gently takes the duct tape off of my mouth.
  96.
  97. >"Lyra."
  98. >You don't answer him.
  99. >"Would you mind telling me how you managed to pass through three whole areas of my factory without a single camera catching a glimpse of you?"
  100. >Staying quiet.
  101. >"I've put up hundreds of cameras with only a blindspot for rats and insects."
  102. >...
  103. >"Alright, I suppose it's not too important to thoroughly discuss. Let's talk about why you were in my office."
  104. >Oh boy here we go
  105. >"My cameras spotted you reading specific files. Most of them related to 'Noir-Man'"
  106. "Look, Nolan. I only saw your goons arranging weapons and packing in narcotics in the van."
  107. >"So you're an undercover cop?"
  108. "I was just looking around your factory, and stumbled upon the secret wall Amy activated."
  109. >"And your first instinct is to suspiciously crouch-walk..."
  110. "...yep."
  111. >"sigh, looks like this is gonna be an all nighter."
  112. >Nolan walks to what appears to be a switch on the wall.
  113. "Look, Nolan. We've err... barely known each other for a long time through Vinyl. Let me go now and I promise I wo...AHHH, WHAT THE HELL!?"
  114. >The ground below you opens. A small pool filled with piranhas.
  115. >"Lower her down."
  116. "NOLAN, WAIT. YOU'RE SERIOUSLY GOING TO KILL ME?"
  117. >"I'm sorry, Lyra. Friends or not, I can't trust you with this secret, unless you provide me with something of long term interest."
  118. >Gilda lowers your rope down. Piranhas jumping from it's liquid home to try and get a bite of your shoe.
  119.
  120. "W-WAIT! NOIR-MAN? YOU WANT NOIR-MAN, RIGHT?"
  121. >"We already have our best men investigating him."
  122. >Your feet have submerged in the pool. Piranhas already attaching their teeth through your jeans.
  123. >Faust, this guy has no mercy, even to his schoolmates.
  124. "L-LISTEN. I KNOW WHO HE IS!"
  125. >"So do I. Theoretically. Besides, why would you know who he is?"
  126. "S-SHIT. OKAY! VINYL!"
  127. >"Hmm?"
  128. "Y-YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENNED TO VINYL? HOW TO SAVE HER?"
  129. >"...Gilda, pull it up."
  130. >"Yes, sir."
  131.
  132. Be Norman
  133. Up the rooftops with Brad in costume
  134. >"OHH YEAAAH. TWO BROS FIGHTIN CRIIME!"
  135. "Shh, Brad. I'm trying to hear for people in need of our help."
  136. >"You got super hearing?"
  137. "Yeah, I'm like an owl, or Daredevil with radar sense."
  138. >"Bradical! I wish I had an artifact too. Freaking Lyra and Vinyl got some before I did."
  139. "Yeah, don't worry about it. I can talk to the manager and see if he can send some for you."
  140. >"Talk to the manager?"
  141. "Some nights, I have these weird dreams that I'm in another universe, one filled with people that spectates you and me.
  142. >"Holy shit, you're talking to God and His brothers from different religions?!?"
  143. "Not exactly, I don't know. Just some green people in suits, a giant pink pony whose face I can't see and this girl in a coat and a fedora with short purple hair."
  144. >"Damn, Norman. You get all the action. Did you do it with the purple-haired girl?"
  145. "Fuck, no. Like I said, I was half awake. I barely had control of myself."
  146. >"But would you still have done it?"
  147. "Brad..."
  148.
  149. >Just then, a cry for crime is heard from miles away.
  150.
  151. >"This is highway robbery!"
  152.
  153. "Brad, sounds like a mugging!"
  154. >"Aww, I was hoping for something along the lines of stopping a bank robbery."
  155. "Come on!"
  156. >You and Brad jump from building to building, following the voice.
  157. >Atop the roof, you look down an alleyway to see two people conversing.
  158. >"Jesus, the prices of these things are a highway robbery!"
  159. >"Sorry, asshole, but that's for the quality. The Saint's Bro delivers good stuff, and we demand good money in return."
  160. >"Ahh, you ass-heads, FINE."
  161.
  162. >Brad comes in, panting.
  163. >"So what's the plan, homey?"
  164. "I'll jump on the dealer, and then deal with the buyer."
  165. >"What do I do?"
  166. "Look out for trouble. If there's back up, you go in for a surprise and we'll finish it off together."
  167. >"Right on, bro!"
  168. >And then you two proceed to brofist with the force of a hundred suns.
  169.
  170. >You jump directly on the dealer and the buyer, who in turn, is about to hand over the drugs to the buyer.
  171. >"WHAT THE...OOFF!" they say in unison.
  172. "Come on, guys. Didn't your mother tell you guys not to do drugs?"
  173. >"NOIR-MAN, VAN!" Brad yells.
  174. >"HEY, THERE HE IS, GET HIM!"
  175. >Brad jumps in, with his legs bare and his underwear bulging.
  176.
  177. >"AHH, WHAT THE HELL!"
  178. >Brad lands on one of the guys, trying to knock him out with his fists.
  179. >"BEHOLD THE FISTS OF JUSTICE!"
  180. >Everyone cringes for 3 seconds. A faint 'awwww' can be heard.
  181. >One of them takes out a pistol.
  182. >You take the cash the buyer brought and threw it at the man with extreme precision.
  183. >"AHH, PAPERCUT!"
  184. >The thug lets go of the gun. The chunk of money you threw went down a drainage pipe.
  185. >You and Brad battle it out, two against 5.
  186. "You ready for this?"
  187. >"Always."
  188. >You jump torwards one of them while Brad slides down the other.
  189. >"DON'T JUST STAND THERE, GET THEM!"
  190. >You kick the head of a goon while Brad grabs a branch nearby and attacks two others.
  191. >The goon's slow speed is nothing against you.
  192. >One of them tries to bear hug you, but you jumped in time and countered it with a kick from behind.
  193. >He recoils to another guy, knocking both of them out.
  194. >Brad tackles the remaining two guys while spouting terrible one-liners.
  195. >He grabs one of the guys' belt and uses it as a makeshift whip.
  196. >You come in to help up, grabbing the end of the belt while Brad holds of the other end.
  197. >You both charge in, effortlessly tackling the two with the belt.
  198. >Finally, the two bump their heads to the ground, all of the gang members lying unconscious.
  199.
  200. >A flash from a distance grabs your attention. A news media taking photographs before running away.
  201. >Just another day for two-
  202. >"HEY!" yelled the buyer.
  203. >"Where the hell is my money!"
  204. "Look sir, take it as karma fo-"
  205. >As you look behind to talk to the buyer, his face emerges from the shadows.
  206. >Horror comes to your eyes as you recognize the man.
  207.
  208. >GOOD GOD IT'S YOUR FATHER!
  209.
  210. >"YOU MASKED FREAKS. YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST TAKE MY MONEY AND USE IT TO FIGHT CRIME?"
  211. >Your father's a JUNKIE?
  212. >Brad tries to calm him down
  213. >"Sir, you have to understand-"
  214. >"NO, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!"he yelled
  215. >He gets something from his coat. It's a badge.
  216.
  217. >"Listen here, maggots. I'm an undercover cop trying to get leads on this 'Saint's Bro' gang, and I nearly had that gang with the money that had MY tracer."
  218. >"S-sorry."
  219. >"Alright, you two masked menaces are under arrest for concealed vigilantism!"
  220. >You grab Brad by his arm and jumped all the way up to a short building.
  221. >"HEY! COME BACK! WE'RE SUPPOSED TO HANDCUFF YOU!"
  222. >He yells, waving his fist in anger.
  223.
  224. >"MENACE!"
  225.
  226.
  227. >"Wow, Norman. That was awkward as hell!"
  228. "No shit, Brad. I didn't know my dad was a freaking police officer!"
  229. >"Dude, what did you even think his job was?"
  230. "I don't know! Something normal, like a desk job or something! He never spoke much about his job!"
  231. >"Hahaha, wow. What a night!"
  232.
  233. "I need to check up on Lyra. She hasn't called since she disappeared at the factory."
  234. >"Yeah, go check up on your girlfriend." Brad teased.
  235. "Hey, we're just partners in crime fighting, same with you."
  236. >"Not my fault people think you're dating her while Octavia stands by the corner, wrecked and filled with jealousy.
  237. "Yeah, yeah."
  238. >You open your phone to call Lyra. Someone answers.
  239. "Lyra, you there?"
  240. >No one answers.
  241. "Lyra?"
  242. >You hear a faint 'hm'. A female voice.
  243. >However, your enhanced ears sensed something different.
  244.
  245. >It's not Lyra.
  246. >You close the phone.
  247. >"What's the matter, broseph?"
  248. "It's Lyra. I think her cover's blown."
  249.
