Elsa is getting worse. She made a nude drawing of Anna. I don't know how much longer Anna can stay in the dark about her sister's crush on her. Well, a running count of stuff I know about her is...

 

She isn't really that bad off. Most of it is in her head. She's actually quite attractive, but she just never seems to change her dirty sweatshirts or wash her hair after she graduated college. Umm... that's all I got.

Yeah, that was one of the important points.

 

Elsa's smart, she's also dedicated and hard worker (which would also translate to something like her gaming as well) so she'd get plenty of academic achievements.

 

That combined with her awkwardness/social anxiety makes her seem like cold/distant ice queen so no one really ever approached her to be friend or gave her love besides her sister.

 

And that feeds into itself, she has complexes and issues and no one is reaching out to her except for her sister so she becomes more and more reliant on her sister's love and also becomes more in love with her sister untill she realises that it's more than just sisterly love and realises she realy really really really really wants to have sex with her sister, which goes back into "I'm disgusting pervert" which messes her up even more.

That ambiguity is a big part of the AU, I feel, because Elsa doesn't really know how Anna feels about her.

 

And Elsa in the AU (and kind of in canon, even) has confidence issues and she, as was noted already, sees herself as pervert/human trash/robot and she has a massive lady boner for her sister, so anytime Anna gets intimate or touchy feely with her, Elsa has starts imagining/interpreting it as sexual but she also immediatley chastises herself for interpreting it as such because Anna isn't like that, and this conflict gives her lot of trouble and sleepless nights.

 

Especially when Anna does something like pose for her naked, Elsa has impossible time figuring out is that something sister's would normally do or is Anna flirting with her.

Hans is THE evil ex, the one that you used to be forbidden to speak about openly in front of Anna but now the target of regular derision by her and the family. Kristoff I picture not much removed from his character in the movie-a big brawny guy and a little awkward around people but with a big heart and really affectionate around animals. The whole family loves him, and even Elsa has warmed up to him despite her initial coldness, and concedes that he's the kind of guy Anna needs in her life.
