  2.
  3. >The elderly ponies look at each other in suspense.
  4. >Celestia hangs her head low, looking over the map table.
  5. >”Is it… To be done?”
  6. >Celestia looks up to the pony, before erecting herself once again.
  7. >”We either achieve peace through a treaty-“
  8. >”Or their defeat.”
  9. >”Only possible option now is obvious.”
  10. >Celestia nods.
  11. >”Do it.”
  12.
  13. >Luna looks out of her new castle, eyeing the moon.
  14. >She still had vivid dreams about Anonymous’ death.
  15. >The way her sister stabbed him-
  16. >She shudders, looking out once again.
  17. >A lone guard approaches her, and whispers something.
  18. >Her ears perk up in surprise.
  19. >”Is this true?”
  20. >The guard nods.
  21. >”Ready the ponies. We are going to war.”
  22. >The guard nods, and disappears.
  23. >Luna stares onto the direction of Canterlot.
  24. >She stands defiant, she will make her sister pay.
  25.
  26. >Celestia stares into the horizon, from her open balcony.
  27. >The small speck in the Everfree…
  28. >Luna, you will thoroughly regret this…
  29.
  30. >Meanwhile, Anonymous, you, are in your own blissful world, with your newly found companion, Christie.
  31. >You really know the world, don’t you.
  32. >The two of you sigh, and lie on the bedding.
  33. >She looks to you with the ever present smile of hers.
  34. >You smile back, before giving her another kiss.
  35. >She pokes her tongue out playfully.
  36. >The two of you snuggle closer, keeping each other warm.
  37. >Christie was… something.
  38. >She was something good that you rarely come across.
  39. >She cared for you, and you did so too.
  40. >”That was… very flavorsome, Anon.” She puts her arms around you.
  41. >You have no idea how to reply to this statement.
  42. >You couldn’t give two shits about the world outside.
  43. >It was cold.
  44. >You liked being with another human,
  45. >A human who cared for you, to add.
  46. >You were happy.
  47.
  48. >But- something- something deep inside keeps on tugging at you.
  49. >Something that flashes the image of Ponyville every sleep, something that whispers a familiar voice- something, that reminds you that you are heartless.
  50.
  51. >Once again, you drag your sorry ass outside, only to be stopped by Christie.
  52. >”Don’t you love me, Anon?” She asks your unthankful ass.
  53. >You always say yes, and return back to the cave, you owed her after all.
  54. >Third time this week.
  55. >Tonight, you cannot hold it any more.
  56. >You start off again, into the worsening blizzard of Equestria.
  57. >She comes to you again, holding your hand and not letting you go.
  58. >Don’t you love me? She echoes the words again and again.
  59. >Normally, you would given in and go back.
  60. >Not today.
  61. >You are afraid this something inside you will kill you.
  62. >It is.
  63. >Slowly and surely, it creeps to your sanity.
  64. >You have to go.
  65.
  66. >”I’m sorry, Christie, but I have to do this.”
  67. >You swear you saw her green eye glow.
  68. >”No you don’t have to do this.” She whispers.
  69. >”I don’t have t- No! I will do this!”
  70. >You walk out, undefeated.
  71. >Suddenly, you are yanked back into the cave, by –what else- magic.
  72. >You turn to see the entrance blocked by a certain magical aura.
  73. >Christie was no longer there.
  74.
  75. >Her figure burned away in a green flame, revealing-
  76. >What the fuck was that?
  77. >It seemed like a pony, like the princesses, but covered in black carapace.
  78. >It had long, sea green mane that ran through its head and neck.
  79. >It retained Christie’s green eyes, except it turned into a slit.
  80. >It had holes on its supposed hooves, not sure why.
  81. >There were decrepit insect wings on her back, as well as a tube of green chitin.
  82. >On its head, there is a jagged horn, now glowing in an eerie green glow.
  83.
  84. >Seriously, what the fuck is this?
  85.
  86. >”What?” The creature asks you, noticing your dumbstruck stare.
  87. >”What. The. Hell. Are. You.”
  88. >”I am Chrysalis, the queen of the Changelings. Or WERE the queen of the Changelings.”
  89. >She hangs her head down.
  90. >Well, at least her voice is the same.
  91. >”So uhm- you’re Christie?”
  92. >You nervously point.
  93. >”Yes, yes I am.”
  94. >”You can shape-shift?”
  95. >”Of course, I am a changeling.”
  96. >What the fuck is a ‘changeling’?
  97. >”So uhm, why aren’t you letting me go?”
  98. >She sighs.
  99. >”I need you with me, Anonymous.”
  100. >”And why is that?” You ask again, slowly settling down on the opposite wall.
  101. >”I need to feed.”
  102. >Woah, woah- you know where this is going.
  103. >She’s a bloody vampire!
  104. >”As a changeling-“ She cuts your trail of thought.
  105. >”I need to feed on emotions.”
  106. >If she is going anywhere your-
  107. >Wait, wut?
  108. >Emotions?
  109.
  110. >”Emotions?” You ask.
  111. >”Yes, I feed on emotions. Primarily on love.”
  112. >You pause and ponder.
  113. >”Is that why you were- Christie?”
  114. >Well, no shite Sherlock.
  115. >”So uhm- when we did that back there-“
  116. >”Yes.”
  117. >”Oh, wow.”
  118. >You sit there idly, trying to take in the situation.
  119. >You had to get out, and she was not going to let you.
  120. >”I assume you’ll not let me go?”
  121. >She stares at you like you’re an idiot.
  122. >”Oh, right.”
  123. >You huddle up to your corner.
  124. >Let’s see who can play the waiting game longest.
  125.
  126. >It’s been a few hours.
  127. >And the neither of you is going to give up.
  128. >You try to face away from her, not giving any emotions.
  129. >If you’re going to starve, she will too.
  130. >You feel a light breeze in the cave.
  131. >You turn to see one pony you thought you’ll never see.
  132. >The soft, flowing mane-
  133. >Celestia.
  134. >”Missed me, Anon?” She asks, slowly coming to you.
  135. >You stand up, facing the great princess to whom you admitted you loved her.
  136. >”Yes, you do love her, Anon.” Her venomous voice erupts.
  137. >Shit.
  138. >That’s the moment you realize.
  139. >You loved her.
  140. >It was in the past.
  141. >You don’t even know your heart beats any more.
  142. >You are dead.
  143.
  144. >”Celestia- I mean Chrysalis, am I dead?” You ask.
  145. >’Celestia’ frowns at you, and dissipates back to the Changeling.
  146. >She looks around nervously, before opening her mouth.
  147. >”Yes. You are dead, Anon.”
  148. >You feel your heart sink- Actually, you don’t.
  149. >You don’t feel anything.
  150. >You sit on your corner again, the cold now claiming the empty hole in your mind.
  151. >You don’t feel dead, though.
  152. >That’s just your denial speaking.
  153. >But you needed to get out of here.
  154. >And if she is not going to let you out, so be it.
  155. >It has been few days after you realized who Christie was.
  156. >The two of you are facing away from each other, not letting out a word.
  157. >You feel her magic is slowly weakening; your freedom will come soon.
  158. >But damn, what you wouldn’t give for a slice of bacon now.
  159. >You turn to face the queen, who is shivering in the corner.
  160. >You can’t help to feel a pang of pity on her.
  161. >And once that happens, you feel the magic getting stronger again.
  162. >Goddamn, she works fast.
  163. >Before she can face you, you return to face the wall.
  164. >She’s not getting more of this.
  165. >Another day has passed.
  166. >You started to look around the tent, searching for food.
  167. >All you’ve found was some fruits and berries.
  168. >They will have to do.
  169. >You down your food, and quickly rouse yourself to sleep.
  170. >Next morning, you are unusually cold.
  171. >You face is starting to feel numb.
  172. >You open your eyes to see the open world again.
  173. >There was Canterlot in the distance, and the mountains.
  174. >The barrier ran out.
  175. >You gladly stand, ready to head out.
  176. >”You won’t- you can’t leave…” She whispers, weakened as you are.
  177. >You ignore her, and walk outside.
  178. >You feel the snow on your shoes again, the free air and-
  179. >You suddenly stop, and fall to your knees.
  180. >You gasp for air, before falling face first to the snow.
  181. >When you wake, you can’t feel your face.
  182. >You feel a weight on your back, and a tingle of warmth.
  183. >You feel a light brush on your neck.
  184. >You turn around to see Chrysalis sprawled on you.
  185. >”I-I told you. You can’t leave.”
  186. >She gives a weak grin.
  187. >”My magic- is what keeps you alive.”
  188. >You slowly turn around; making sure Chrysalis won’t fall off.
  189. >You are now facing her, her smile already weakening.
  190. >You feel another pang of guilt and pity on her.
  191. >To have lost her title- her hopes- and now- her life.
  192. >”Chrysalis-“ You mutter. “T-thank you.” You smile.
  193. >You cup your hands on her hard cheeks, and look into her fluttering eyes.
  194. >You take a deep breath- and lean closer.
  195. >The kiss you give is enough to get her back on her feet.
  196. >After all, she did save your life.
  197. >Who knows, she might be a great Changeling.
  198. >She immediately jumps up, blushing.
  199. >You didn’t even know bugs could blush.
  200. >You can feel your breathing getting stronger, it’s working.
  201. >You feel an immense sense of relief washing over, soon replaced by the feeling of you did something stupid.
  202. >”Anonymous, I-“
  203. >”Shhh.” You shush her.
  204. >Ah dude, what the fuck.
  205. >”I’m sorry, Chrysalis.”
  206. >She looks at you, puzzled.
  207. >”No one ever thanked me before…” She trails off.
  208. >”Well, you don’t get to save lives often.” You smile to her.
  209. >”Anon, there was one thing…”
  210. >Her eyes dart around, before she looks to your confused face.
  211. >She leans down for another long kiss, now to your surprise.
  212. >Then as you were getting used to it, you feel a surge of energy.
  213. >Chrysalis glows in a brilliant glow, almost blinding.
  214. >Then, her form melts, coming to your mouth.
  215. >Her entire form disappears into your mouth, the feeling disappearing into your body.
  216.
  217. >There.
  218. >Chrysalis?
  219. >Yes, Anon.
  220. >Are you inside me?
  221. >Yes, you could say that.
  222. >Dayum boy.
  223. >What?
  224. >Nothing.
  225.
  226. >You stand, snow falling softly to you face.
  227. >You breathe deeply again, only to get no response from your body.
  228. >Snow lands freely on your head.
  229. >Let me get that for you.
  230. >A dark cape materializes around you, perfectly covering your sorry form.
  231. >You tug the cape around you, snuggling inside it.
  232. >You sniff the new fabric smell.
  233. >”Cool.” You say, ready to start the new day.
