- Chapter 8
- >Celestia’s usual white coat suddenly drains of life, turning pale.
- >She stares at something behind you, as if you were invisible.
- >Your moment of anger is suddenly interrupted by her lack of reaction.
- “C-celestia?”
- >Maybe you pushed too far.
- >She lost it.
- >She’ll now whoop your ass to the moon and shove bananas and moon rock up your ass until you go fat.
- >And you’ll probably commit suicide if you had a gut.
- “Something I said?”
- >”L-L-L-“ Celestia begins to stutter.
- “L- what?”
- >Celestia goes silent, and slowly raises a hoof to point behind you.
- >The hoof in question is shaking like a leaf.
- >You groan in frustration, and turn around.
- >You see two teary emerald eyes staring right at you, slowly turning violent.
- >Your own face drain of color and you immediately turn back to your seat.
- >You take one last look at Celestia, and mutter which would be your last words.
- “Fuck.”
- >Of course, you had other worlds to say.
- >Your trail of thought was quickly cut away by the sudden explosion of dark magic.
- >As you hit the table with your face, you already have a clear idea who it is.
- >Nightmare moon.
- >You only awake to screams and shrieks of ponies.
- >You slowly lift yourself up, fragments of the table sliding off your arm.
- >You pick off some broken pieces of the ceiling off your head.
- >You slowly get up, taking note of the cracked and fallen table under you.
- >Surely your head can’t be that hard.
- >You see the fallen chandelier on the table as well, broken glass is littered everywhere.
- >Walls seems to have been chipped away, you see cracks and inner workings of walls everywhere.
- >You limp your way to the windows, all shattered, revealing the city below, covered in chaos.
- >Darkness slowly covers the landscape, the screams and panic increasing in volume.
- >You rest on one of the walls, nursing your wounds.
- >You’re pretty sure someone dropped the damn ceiling on you.
- >You begin your path down a familiar hallway, right to Luna’s room.
- >Well, your conscience won’t stop bugging you about fucking things up this bad.
- >The castle seems deserted.
- >You can hear echoes of ponies moving here and there, but none enter your sight.
- >The bright sunlight is slowly fading away, as you see a certain energy forcing it down.
- >The celestial body soon disappears behind the horizon, taking away the light.
- >The castle is bathed in darkness, and you find yourself blind for a while.
- >You stumble around, hunched like an idiot, with arms going about like feelers.
- >Your movement is slowed to a crawl- because you were actually on the ground.
- >Your eyes slowly adjust, picking up small illuminations.
- >The entire castle is dead silent now, which only adds to the eerie chill down your spine.
- >You walk on your toes, minimizing your movements.
- >But thanks to your uncoordinated movements, your footsteps echo through the halls louder than ever.
- >You freeze and you hear one of the doors creak open.
- >It comes to a stop half way through.
- >You hold your breath, and brace yourself for what monstrosities might come.
- >You hear whispers behind the room, and suddenly- the door kicks open.
- >It slams to the wall, and bounces back to close.
- >Nightmare Moon really knows how to scare you.
- >Pinkie grasped the door knob again, and began to push it again.
- >”I-I don’t think that’s a great idea, Pinkie, what if they have-“ Fluttershy squeaked, and retreated into her mane. “M-M-Monsters?”
- >The pink mare turned to her friend, and frowned.
- >”There are no monsters, silly! It’s just dark and great evil is loose!”
- >”Great evil?” Fluttershy gasped.
- >”Who will EET YOUR SOUUUUULLL” Pinkie stood on her hind legs, and made circling movements with her front.
- >Fluttershy let out an even larger squeak, and hid her face.
- >Pinkie turned to the door again, and continued her stealth operations.
- >You jump at the sight of the door opening up again.
- >It stops halfway through again, and you catch a glimpse of a pink hoof.
- >Does that look familiar to you?
- >Yes, yes it does.
- >”P-pinkie, why do you keep pushing that door?”
- >”Because,” Pinkie hissed in her hushed shout. “I want it to open perfectly.”
- >She waved Fluttershy away, and slowly opened the door.
- >It creaked loudly, signaling their location.
- “Hey girls!” Your head pops in.
- >The two jump back, wrap around each other, and scream loudly.
- >And in turn, you scream back.
- >Fluttershy stops some way through, but Pinkie and you are going strong.
- >After what felt like hours, the two of you stop, gasping for air.
- >And once you grabbed a mouthful of air-
- “IWONTHECONTEST”
- >”IWONTHECONTEST”
- >The two of you exclaim at the same time.
- “Draw?”
- >Pinkie thinks for a while, placing a hoof under her chin.
- >”Hmmmmm…” She eyes you carefully, her eyeball actually sticking out to look up and down.
- >She smiles, and grabs your hand.
- >You don’t even.
- >She gives it a firm shake.
- >”DRAW!”
- >She pulls out a pencil and a notebook.
- “No, Pinkie, we have to-“
- >”Aren’t you ponies subtle?” You hear a voice behind you.
- >You turn around and see Twilight and the rest of the crew, clicking their tongues in raw disdain.
- >”Pinkie, I thought I told you to stay quiet and get Fluttershy!”
- >”I did, Twilight! Here she is!”
- >Twilight doesn’t look very amused.
- >”Right, Anon, you coming with us?”
- “Yeah, out of here- right?”
- >Twilight looks confused.
- >”What about Princess Celestia? She’s battling Nightmare Moon!”
- “So what, she’s-“ You pause, shot at by Twilight’s cold glare.
- “I mean, go team Capri-Sun!”
- >And so here you were, going with the Elements of Harmony to battle Nightmare with Celestia.
- >To be frank, you were going to watch, maybe throw in some assuring words.
- >Boy, it felt good to watch girls fight.
- >You enter Luna’s room, initiated by a welcoming blinding light.
- >When that subsides, you look up to see Celestia, locked in a beam-combat with Nightmare.
- >Nightmare fought back with her shadows, and a navy blue aura.
- >The two were even in combat.
- >Well, almost.
- >Nightmare wraps the room in a pitch black, tar-like substance.
- >A limb begins to form behind Celestia, ready to strike her.
- >”Girls! We ready?” Twilight shouts to her friends.
- >They all nod in unison.
- >And you’re just watching.
- >As Twilight’s eyes began to glow, Celestia smiled.
- >Got you again, Nightmare.
- >You watch in awe as the Elements of Harmony began to charge, and-
- >Poof, the glow is gone.
- >In a blink of an eye, the six mares are knocked from their positions.
- >Celestia watches her pupil get swept by the very appendage.
- >”Fool! You’d believe I’d fall for the same trick?” Nightmare shouted.
- >She began to cackle, as her magic increased in power.
- >The shadows began to envelop Celestia, weakening her.
- >Her smile faltered, and the look of pure terror filled her eyes.
- >It desperately rolled around, searching for a reprieve.
- >And then, it stopped on you.
- >The cursed, magenta iris.
- >You know what she is saying.
- “No.” You say, crossing your arms.
- >The eye silently begs at you.
- “No matter how long you stare, it ain’t gonna work.”
- >You look away, only to see your downed ‘friends’
- >You never liked Rainbow Dash anyway.
- >But you can’t help feeling bad.
- >It was sorta your fault.
- >You probably shouldn’t have shouted too hard.
- >Maybe next time you’ll write Celestia a mean letter.
- >If you get a next time.
- >You jump right into the center of the room.
- “Oh, fine, fuck!” You groan audibly.
- “Nightmare!” You shout.
- >Her maddened gaze falls on you, and you flinch at the invisible weight.
- >”Anon?” You hear another familiar voice.
- >The darkness suddenly pulls away, leaving the room spotless.
- >It retreats into Nightmare’s body.
- >And in a pop, Nightmare is back as Ol’ Luna.
- >She quickly trots up to you, climbing up to your face.
- >”Are you here to apologize and make up?” She asks gleefully.
- >You grind your neck to Celestia, who is now lying on the floor, spent.
- >She smiles and shrugs.
- >You sigh.
- “Y-yeah, I’m here to make it up. But first-“
- >You are already blocking her lips with a finger.
- “Can I talk to Nightmare?”
- >”Nightmare? But she is so dangerous!”
- “Precisely why.”
- >”Anon, what are you-“ Celestia asks from the floor.
- “Shh, I got this.” You silence her. “Will you let her out?”
- >”I-I’ll try…” Luna’s spirit drops.
- >She clenches her eyes, and begins to focus.
- >All the shadow in the room begins to crawl to Luna.
- >The darkness swirls around her, until you see Nightmare.
- >She has the same idea with Luna, most likely.
- >She goes up to your face again, barely an inch away.
- >Seriously, this is getting old.
- >”I knew you’d pick the better half of us.” She speaks in a sultry voice.
- “C-can we talk?”
- >Nightmare looks around the room, and looks at you as if you were an idiot.
- >”No time like the present?”
- “No, I mean- alone, somewhere solitary?”
- >Her smile stretches wider.
- >”Oh? Is that what you want?”
- >She winks at you.
- >You think your balls shrunk a little.
- >Nightmare pulls away, and looks down in an unreadable expression.
- >You turn to Celestia, to give an assuring smile.
- >Celestia lay on the cold marble floor, watching Anonymous screw it all up.
- >He said a few words, and Nightmare smiled.
- >She thinks she saw Nightmare wink.
- >As Nightmare pulled away from the conversation, Anonymous turned to smile and give a thumbs up.
- >And that’s when you saw it.
- >Nightmare opened her mouth, revealing her sharp canines.
- >She brought them to Anonymous’ neck, whose eyes widened in shock.
- >As soon as she bit him, Nightmare slowly melted away, slowly flowing into Anonymous.
- >His face goes pale, and he goes limp.
- >Nightmare is gone, and Luna plops to the floor.
- >Anonymous, clutching his bleeding neck- falls to the floor as well- unmoving.
- >Luna innocently comes up next to him, and nudged him with her snout.
- >”Anon?” She whispered.
- >Anonymous did not respond.
- >”Anonymous?” She asked, through her tears.
- >You shake the dust off you head, and slowly stand up.
- >”So, what was this business you wanted?” You hear Nightmare above your head.
- >She backs away slightly as you get up, giving you some room.
- “W-where am I?” You stagger, as you try to get a hold of yourself.
- >”That depends, Anon.” Nightmare smiles.
- [For the ones who read the one-shot]
- >”See, what did I tell you, isn’t the meeting nice?” Luna smiled as she poured the tea into the cup.
- >Tiny goblets of the liquid flew away slowly dropping on the grey ground.
- >”Isn’t this great, Anon?” Luna sipped on her tea.
- >She sighed and looked back to Equestria, a small green world on the planet.
- >She then looked over to your body, encased in an air bubble.
- >You were still breathing, but unresponsive.
- >Twilight said it was a coma.
- >Luna watched your peaceful expression.
- >”Enough tea with you, Anony.”
- >She lifted her kettle, and pointed at someone else.
- >She then put on an odd cap, and spoke with it.
- >“And other Anon?” She asked to the white figure.
