  1. Chapter 8
  2.
  3. >Celestia’s usual white coat suddenly drains of life, turning pale.
  4. >She stares at something behind you, as if you were invisible.
  5. >Your moment of anger is suddenly interrupted by her lack of reaction.
  6. “C-celestia?”
  7. >Maybe you pushed too far.
  8. >She lost it.
  9. >She’ll now whoop your ass to the moon and shove bananas and moon rock up your ass until you go fat.
  10. >And you’ll probably commit suicide if you had a gut.
  11. “Something I said?”
  12. >”L-L-L-“ Celestia begins to stutter.
  13. “L- what?”
  14. >Celestia goes silent, and slowly raises a hoof to point behind you.
  15. >The hoof in question is shaking like a leaf.
  16. >You groan in frustration, and turn around.
  17. >You see two teary emerald eyes staring right at you, slowly turning violent.
  18. >Your own face drain of color and you immediately turn back to your seat.
  19. >You take one last look at Celestia, and mutter which would be your last words.
  20. “Fuck.”
  21. >Of course, you had other worlds to say.
  22. >Your trail of thought was quickly cut away by the sudden explosion of dark magic.
  23. >As you hit the table with your face, you already have a clear idea who it is.
  24. >Nightmare moon.
  25.
  26. >You only awake to screams and shrieks of ponies.
  27. >You slowly lift yourself up, fragments of the table sliding off your arm.
  28. >You pick off some broken pieces of the ceiling off your head.
  29. >You slowly get up, taking note of the cracked and fallen table under you.
  30. >Surely your head can’t be that hard.
  31. >You see the fallen chandelier on the table as well, broken glass is littered everywhere.
  32. >Walls seems to have been chipped away, you see cracks and inner workings of walls everywhere.
  33. >You limp your way to the windows, all shattered, revealing the city below, covered in chaos.
  34. >Darkness slowly covers the landscape, the screams and panic increasing in volume.
  35. >You rest on one of the walls, nursing your wounds.
  36. >You’re pretty sure someone dropped the damn ceiling on you.
  37. >You begin your path down a familiar hallway, right to Luna’s room.
  38. >Well, your conscience won’t stop bugging you about fucking things up this bad.
  39. >The castle seems deserted.
  40. >You can hear echoes of ponies moving here and there, but none enter your sight.
  41. >The bright sunlight is slowly fading away, as you see a certain energy forcing it down.
  42. >The celestial body soon disappears behind the horizon, taking away the light.
  43. >The castle is bathed in darkness, and you find yourself blind for a while.
  44. >You stumble around, hunched like an idiot, with arms going about like feelers.
  45. >Your movement is slowed to a crawl- because you were actually on the ground.
  46. >Your eyes slowly adjust, picking up small illuminations.
  47. >The entire castle is dead silent now, which only adds to the eerie chill down your spine.
  48. >You walk on your toes, minimizing your movements.
  49. >But thanks to your uncoordinated movements, your footsteps echo through the halls louder than ever.
  50. >You freeze and you hear one of the doors creak open.
  51. >It comes to a stop half way through.
  52. >You hold your breath, and brace yourself for what monstrosities might come.
  53. >You hear whispers behind the room, and suddenly- the door kicks open.
  54. >It slams to the wall, and bounces back to close.
  55. >Nightmare Moon really knows how to scare you.
  56.
  57. >Pinkie grasped the door knob again, and began to push it again.
  58. >”I-I don’t think that’s a great idea, Pinkie, what if they have-“ Fluttershy squeaked, and retreated into her mane. “M-M-Monsters?”
  59. >The pink mare turned to her friend, and frowned.
  60. >”There are no monsters, silly! It’s just dark and great evil is loose!”
  61. >”Great evil?” Fluttershy gasped.
  62. >”Who will EET YOUR SOUUUUULLL” Pinkie stood on her hind legs, and made circling movements with her front.
  63. >Fluttershy let out an even larger squeak, and hid her face.
  64. >Pinkie turned to the door again, and continued her stealth operations.
  65.
  66. >You jump at the sight of the door opening up again.
  67. >It stops halfway through again, and you catch a glimpse of a pink hoof.
  68. >Does that look familiar to you?
  69. >Yes, yes it does.
  70.
  71. >”P-pinkie, why do you keep pushing that door?”
  72. >”Because,” Pinkie hissed in her hushed shout. “I want it to open perfectly.”
  73. >She waved Fluttershy away, and slowly opened the door.
  74. >It creaked loudly, signaling their location.
  75. “Hey girls!” Your head pops in.
  76. >The two jump back, wrap around each other, and scream loudly.
  77. >And in turn, you scream back.
  78. >Fluttershy stops some way through, but Pinkie and you are going strong.
  79. >After what felt like hours, the two of you stop, gasping for air.
  80. >And once you grabbed a mouthful of air-
  81. “IWONTHECONTEST”
  82. >”IWONTHECONTEST”
  83. >The two of you exclaim at the same time.
  84. “Draw?”
  85. >Pinkie thinks for a while, placing a hoof under her chin.
  86. >”Hmmmmm…” She eyes you carefully, her eyeball actually sticking out to look up and down.
  87. >She smiles, and grabs your hand.
  88. >You don’t even.
  89. >She gives it a firm shake.
  90. >”DRAW!”
  91. >She pulls out a pencil and a notebook.
  92. “No, Pinkie, we have to-“
  93. >”Aren’t you ponies subtle?” You hear a voice behind you.
  94. >You turn around and see Twilight and the rest of the crew, clicking their tongues in raw disdain.
  95. >”Pinkie, I thought I told you to stay quiet and get Fluttershy!”
  96. >”I did, Twilight! Here she is!”
  97. >Twilight doesn’t look very amused.
  98. >”Right, Anon, you coming with us?”
  99. “Yeah, out of here- right?”
  100. >Twilight looks confused.
  101. >”What about Princess Celestia? She’s battling Nightmare Moon!”
  102. “So what, she’s-“ You pause, shot at by Twilight’s cold glare.
  103. “I mean, go team Capri-Sun!”
  104.
  105. >And so here you were, going with the Elements of Harmony to battle Nightmare with Celestia.
  106. >To be frank, you were going to watch, maybe throw in some assuring words.
  107. >Boy, it felt good to watch girls fight.
  108. >You enter Luna’s room, initiated by a welcoming blinding light.
  109. >When that subsides, you look up to see Celestia, locked in a beam-combat with Nightmare.
  110. >Nightmare fought back with her shadows, and a navy blue aura.
  111. >The two were even in combat.
  112. >Well, almost.
  113. >Nightmare wraps the room in a pitch black, tar-like substance.
  114. >A limb begins to form behind Celestia, ready to strike her.
  115. >”Girls! We ready?” Twilight shouts to her friends.
  116. >They all nod in unison.
  117. >And you’re just watching.
  118. >As Twilight’s eyes began to glow, Celestia smiled.
  119. >Got you again, Nightmare.
  120. >You watch in awe as the Elements of Harmony began to charge, and-
  121. >Poof, the glow is gone.
  122. >In a blink of an eye, the six mares are knocked from their positions.
  123. >Celestia watches her pupil get swept by the very appendage.
  124. >”Fool! You’d believe I’d fall for the same trick?” Nightmare shouted.
  125. >She began to cackle, as her magic increased in power.
  126. >The shadows began to envelop Celestia, weakening her.
  127. >Her smile faltered, and the look of pure terror filled her eyes.
  128. >It desperately rolled around, searching for a reprieve.
  129. >And then, it stopped on you.
  130. >The cursed, magenta iris.
  131. >You know what she is saying.
  132. “No.” You say, crossing your arms.
  133. >The eye silently begs at you.
  134. “No matter how long you stare, it ain’t gonna work.”
  135. >You look away, only to see your downed ‘friends’
  136. >You never liked Rainbow Dash anyway.
  137. >But you can’t help feeling bad.
  138. >It was sorta your fault.
  139. >You probably shouldn’t have shouted too hard.
  140. >Maybe next time you’ll write Celestia a mean letter.
  141. >If you get a next time.
  142. >You jump right into the center of the room.
  143. “Oh, fine, fuck!” You groan audibly.
  144. “Nightmare!” You shout.
  145. >Her maddened gaze falls on you, and you flinch at the invisible weight.
  146. >”Anon?” You hear another familiar voice.
  147. >The darkness suddenly pulls away, leaving the room spotless.
  148. >It retreats into Nightmare’s body.
  149. >And in a pop, Nightmare is back as Ol’ Luna.
  150. >She quickly trots up to you, climbing up to your face.
  151. >”Are you here to apologize and make up?” She asks gleefully.
  152. >You grind your neck to Celestia, who is now lying on the floor, spent.
  153. >She smiles and shrugs.
  154. >You sigh.
  155. “Y-yeah, I’m here to make it up. But first-“
  156. >You are already blocking her lips with a finger.
  157. “Can I talk to Nightmare?”
  158. >”Nightmare? But she is so dangerous!”
  159. “Precisely why.”
  160. >”Anon, what are you-“ Celestia asks from the floor.
  161. “Shh, I got this.” You silence her. “Will you let her out?”
  162. >”I-I’ll try…” Luna’s spirit drops.
  163. >She clenches her eyes, and begins to focus.
  164. >All the shadow in the room begins to crawl to Luna.
  165. >The darkness swirls around her, until you see Nightmare.
  166. >She has the same idea with Luna, most likely.
  167. >She goes up to your face again, barely an inch away.
  168. >Seriously, this is getting old.
  169. >”I knew you’d pick the better half of us.” She speaks in a sultry voice.
  170. “C-can we talk?”
  171. >Nightmare looks around the room, and looks at you as if you were an idiot.
  172. >”No time like the present?”
  173. “No, I mean- alone, somewhere solitary?”
  174. >Her smile stretches wider.
  175. >”Oh? Is that what you want?”
  176. >She winks at you.
  177. >You think your balls shrunk a little.
  178. >Nightmare pulls away, and looks down in an unreadable expression.
  179. >You turn to Celestia, to give an assuring smile.
  180.
  181. >Celestia lay on the cold marble floor, watching Anonymous screw it all up.
  182. >He said a few words, and Nightmare smiled.
  183. >She thinks she saw Nightmare wink.
  184. >As Nightmare pulled away from the conversation, Anonymous turned to smile and give a thumbs up.
  185. >And that’s when you saw it.
  186. >Nightmare opened her mouth, revealing her sharp canines.
  187. >She brought them to Anonymous’ neck, whose eyes widened in shock.
  188. >As soon as she bit him, Nightmare slowly melted away, slowly flowing into Anonymous.
  189. >His face goes pale, and he goes limp.
  190. >Nightmare is gone, and Luna plops to the floor.
  191. >Anonymous, clutching his bleeding neck- falls to the floor as well- unmoving.
  192. >Luna innocently comes up next to him, and nudged him with her snout.
  193. >”Anon?” She whispered.
  194. >Anonymous did not respond.
  195. >”Anonymous?” She asked, through her tears.
  196.
  197. >You shake the dust off you head, and slowly stand up.
  198. >”So, what was this business you wanted?” You hear Nightmare above your head.
  199. >She backs away slightly as you get up, giving you some room.
  200. “W-where am I?” You stagger, as you try to get a hold of yourself.
  201. >”That depends, Anon.” Nightmare smiles.
  202.
  203. [For the ones who read the one-shot]
  204.
  205. >”See, what did I tell you, isn’t the meeting nice?” Luna smiled as she poured the tea into the cup.
  206. >Tiny goblets of the liquid flew away slowly dropping on the grey ground.
  207. >”Isn’t this great, Anon?” Luna sipped on her tea.
  208. >She sighed and looked back to Equestria, a small green world on the planet.
  209. >She then looked over to your body, encased in an air bubble.
  210. >You were still breathing, but unresponsive.
  211. >Twilight said it was a coma.
  212. >Luna watched your peaceful expression.
  213. >”Enough tea with you, Anony.”
  214. >She lifted her kettle, and pointed at someone else.
  215. >She then put on an odd cap, and spoke with it.
  216. >“And other Anon?” She asked to the white figure.
