This will be labled as a work in progress because I will be updating this post from time to time   This is the first one I have   >Be playing with your daughter Caroline. >Here a knock on the door. "What do you want Twilight" >Ever since she found out about Caroline, she's wanted to hook her up to various scientific instruments for her research. >You keep telling her no, she's only a baby after all. >She has been pretty persistent lately, asking almost every day. >"Please Anon, think of what we can learn from her". >She brings her forehooves together, looking up at you with puppy dog eyes, she's practically begging. >Damn you nerdy Twilight, why are you so adorkable. "Okay, you can do one experiment on her, just promise me two things" >"Anything". "This is a one time thing, and if Caroline show's discomfort in any way, the experiment is over" >Twilight squee's with excitement >"Of course, just bring her by tomorow, I'll have everything set up". >A purple flash and Twilight is gone, presumedly back to the library. 1/4   >Next day, you're walking into Ponyville with Caroline on your shoulder. >Ponies are still giving you odd stares, but you have learned to ignore them. >You make your way to the library, knocking on the front door. >Spike opens the door and lets the two of you in. >"Twilight is down the in the basement. "thanks Spike" >You were about to go down but Caroline jumps off your shoulder giving Spike a hug. >"Goo' morning Spikey" "Come along Caroline, we shouldn't keep Twilight waiting" >Caroline releases Spike from her hug, and you pick her up to carry her downstairs. >The basement is arranged like Frankenstein's lab. >There is the smell of ozone along with electric bolts jumping across electrodes. >Caroline, intimidated by the scene hides behind your pant legs. >Twilight emerges from behind one of the machines. >"Are you ready to begin". 2/4   "I'm not sure Twilight, this all looks a little over the top". >"Oh, all of this, we're not using most of it, I was just testing it to make sure it worked". >She flicks a switch and most of the machines turn off, the basement going quiet. >Caroline pokes her head out from behind you. "So then what are we using" >Twilight points to some sort of helmet with lights all over it, connected to a machine, a spool of paper on one side. >"All we have to do is place this helmet on her, monitor her for a few minutes, and that should be it. >Hmm...this doesn't seem that bad. >You bend down to Caroline's level. "What do you say sweatie, want to help Twilight with her little experiment" >With all the noise gone, Caroline gains a little more courage, nodding enthusiatically. "I think we're ready" >A few minutes later, Caroline is seated on the chair with the helmet atop her head. 3/4   >Twilight flips a switch and the machine wirs to life with various lights and beeps. >You don't know much about magic so you have no idea what the machine is actually doing >Twilight is looking intently at the output, a roll of paper with a red line drawn across. >"Okay, we have established a base line, now Caroline could you do me a small favor" >Caroline nods her head. >"Can you try to change the flavor of this milk". >Twilight produces a small bottle filled with milk. >"Okay Aunt Twilight" >Caroline screws up her face in concentration straing at the glass of milk. >As you have seen so many times before, the flavor of the milk changes to strawberry, her favorite. >"Good job Caroline" >Twilight goes back to checking the machine noting any changes that occur. >She also takes a sample of the changed milk setting it aside. >"Now I want you to do one more thing, change the milk back to normal" >Caroline nods, screwing up her face and the milk returns to normal. >Twilight goes back to the machine to jot down any changes and takes a sample of the milk. >Suddenly the smoke starts to rise from the machine. >"What the-" >Twilight holds up a sample of the paper outputed by the machine. >At one point the solid red line marking the paper turns into rows and rows of candy dots. >Caroline eagerly grabs the paper out of Twilight's hooves nibbling on the little candy dots affixed to the paper. 4/4
