  1. Name: Rebel Son
  2. Alter ego: Jacob Robert Sutton
  3. Height: 6'0" (1.82 m)
  4. Weight: 221 lbs (100 kg)
  5. Age: 24
  6. Born: Leather Creek, KY
  7. Hair: Blonde
  8. Eyes: Blue
  9. Build: Solid
  10. Occupation(s): Sawmill worker, jobber, vigilante
  11.
  12. Powers/abilities: Possesses no superhuman abilities. Has unusually high endurance, stamina, and resistance to pain. In top physical condition.  Encyclopedic knowledge of professional wrestling maneuvers and capable street fighter.
  13. Appearance: Tall and broad-shouldered with long legs. Bright blonde hair that he usually keeps cut short (hasn't gone to a barber in years.  Bought a thirty-dollar electric razor and just trims his hair every few weeks). Boyish looking with an oval-shaped face, full eyebrows, close set eyes, and a turn-up nose. He's accustomed to late nights, hard work, and heavy drinking so he often has dark rings beneath his eyes. It's also not uncommon for his face to show signs of his 'active' lifestyle. He's prone to black eyes, bruised noses, and cut lips. Thankfully, his teeth are all still there and clean. He shaves frequently, giving him a clean-cut face with no stubble (unless he's been feeling lazy. He's capable of growing a full beard very quickly). Though he's embarrassed to admit it, he shaves his entire body. While not a requirement for aspiring pro wrestlers, it helps with the image.

  15. Costume/Equipment:
  16.
  17. Mask - Sewn with the colors and pattern of the Confederate flag. It's a wrestling mask he ordered by mail with large holes for the eyes but no large openings for the mouth or nose. Instead, only small slits for the nostrils and a series of holes around the mouth let him breathe in relative comfort.
  18.
  19. Boots - Brown steel-toe boots that were once a good, expensive pair. They've aged, however, and were no longer able to pass inspection when he decided he could use them for his outfit. He's stripped the triple-stitched brown leather from the toes, exposing the heavy steel caps underneath. He likes the visual effect of it. He also wears some thick work socks. While they aren't that important to keeping the dirt roads safe, they're fluffy and he likes them. The heavy boots aren't the best things in the world for sprinting, but they're comfy and get the job done.
  20.
  21. Pants - A pair of good denim work jeans. Though usually caked with dirt (or blood), they're a particularly good pair with triple-stitched seems, double knees, and five pockets.
  22.
  23. Shirt- A plain white T-shirt with absolutely nothing special about it. It's the kind that comes 5-in-a-pack. He usually wears one out in just a few outings.
  24.
  25. Gloves - Pair of high-dexterity brown leather workgloves that he's modified into homemade sap gloves. He ordered about 8 oz of lead powder and sloppily sewed it in. While his craftsmanship left a lot to be desired, the gloves still pack a stronger punch than the regular sort and lets him punch harder with less damage to his hands. He did the work with an old sewing machine he bought for three bucks from the local junkyard. Didn't take too long to teach himself how to do simple stuff and it still worked okay even if you had to shake it to get it to turn on.
  26. Jacket - A Carhartt thermal-lined jacket, pale brown. Four pockets (two outer, two inner. Good for carrying other tools he may need) and a hood that he rarely ever actually uses. It's just a good, sturdy jacket that he mostly wears to protect his arms and keep him warm on chilly nights. Of course, he still wears it even when it's warm, so he often takes it off and throws it over his shoulder on 'patrol'. Using his self-taught sewing skills he messily stitched 'SHUN NO LABOR' onto the back in huge, sloppy letters.
  27.
  28. Hat-  His lucky hat. It's a plain black gimme cap with 'Peabody Western Division' on the front in stylized, white letters. The bill is a bit frayed but it's still in okay shape.
  29.
  30. Misc. - He keeps one or two pockets filled with sand or other loose, grainy materials to use as a blinding agent in case of emergency. He keeps cottonballs on his mouth while out in costume as a way to disguise his voice if he ever feels the need to talk. While he usually goes around on foot, he does have a 'Rebelmobile'. It's a 1985 white Ford F-150. It desperately needs a new coat of paint, the front bumper is missing, the passenger-side door won't open, and you have to start it in neutral. It sports a pair of big, rusty ladder racks that he rarely uses but it's too much of a hassle to take them off.

  32. History - Jacob Robert Sutton was born in a poor county in western Kentucky. Growing up as a reserved, quiet child he watched as the poverty-stricken society around him was crippled by the popularization of methamphetamine. At the age of 14 he began drinking beer and by 15 he was drinking straight bourbon with no chasers. Though with an above-average brain, he was overwhelmed by apathy as he entered high school and dropped out during his senior year to find work and begin training as a professional wrestler, having been captivated since his youth by the spectacle. Shortly after moving out of his house and into a miserable little shack down by the river, his parents sold the place and they fulfilled their dream of retiring and moving to Texas. He doesn't stay in touch with them. While Sutton was content with a simple life of working to get by, he soon found himself at a point where he saw no reason to keep on going. With no family, no close friends, and nothing to live for but the next paycheck he spiralled into a depression. After years of working for minimum wage, drinking his nights away, jobbing for nearby indie wrestling promotions, and wasting time he became resentful of the growing corruption in his hometown. What began as a funny idea became a serious venture and decided to make something of himself as Rebel Son, to his knowledge the first rural masked vigilante. Unfortunately, there's a reason why most heroes delegate themselves to cities. While Rebel Son occasionally finds a meth lab to bust apart or something similar, he's cursed with very long periods of downtime. More often than not he ends up dealing with otherwise honest people stealing cable television or kindly old moonshiners set in their ways of old ladies selling their prescription medication so that they can afford groceries. He currently works part-time for minimum wage at the local sawmill, making just enough to get by while going out as Rebel Son on his days off...that, or working as a jobber for whatever wrestling promotion happens to need the extra help. He lives in a lonely little hovel by the river and entertains himself with VHS tapes of wrestling matches since he has no cable. While he vowed to straighten up upon becoming a hero, he still finds himself drinking heavily.

  34. Personality - Though he has no friends, most people would say Sutton is a good, honest guy. Laid-back, quiet, minds his own business, minds his language in public, always takes off his hat indoors, etc. Despite his love of wrestling and vigilante justice he's a peaceful guy who tries to avoid fighting when he can, but simultaneously wants to be that tough guy who gets to punch the bad guy in the face and save the day. He both loves and hates being alone, finding himself pining for solitude while resenting the fact that he has no one close to him. He drinks heavily, but never in public, preferring to drink alone. He's a nonviolent 'laughing drunk', finding that the booze calms him down and makes everything seem funnier than it would be otherwise. He has a very old-fashioned way of looking at things and avoids vulgarity whenever he can, though he's prone to fits of cussing when angry. While many others would have fantasies about 'gettin' laid', he has fantasies about 'holding hands down at the county fair'. He finds it difficult to motivate himself and often lacks the confidence to be who he wants, though his confidence is greatly amplified when he wears the mask. The anonymity and novelty of being a masked vigilante seems to empower him and makes him more confident and wittier than he'd normally be, he’s fond of one-liners. A nice, quiet, relatively smart guy crippled by several huge shortcomings, an underdog with a streak of bad luck a mile wide but who is almost entirely responsible for the rotten, destitute place he has in life.
