  1. Kennon Rules
  2. Step 1. Create the board. The board is one flat object marked with intersecting straight lines. All players receive an equal number of pieces that may not exceed the number of intersections. All players may add lines as they see fit.
  3. Step 2. Drop phase. After some method of determining who goes first, chugging preferred, players take turns putting their pieces on intersections, one at a time. Once an intersection has been claimed, another piece cannot be put on the same intersection.
  4. Step 3. Main phase. Starting with the player who went last, each player spends their turn moving one of their pieces along a line to an adjacent intersection. If that intersection is occupied by another piece, that piece is picked up, flipped, and placed on an intersection that is not adjacent to an enemy piece. If no such intersection exists, or the piece has already been flipped, it is removed from play. Pieces are traditionally shot glasses whose contents must be imbibed when flipped.
  5. Step 4. Loss phase. If all of your pieces are flipped, then you lose and your turn is skipped until the game resolves.

  7. Step A. Extra Rules Actions. If you are caught performing an action in the game outside of these rules, you must comply with an appropriate punishment, traditionally drinking.
