The mane6 and spike go out to whitetail woods to enjoy the first warm days of the spring.

 

they are doing something(not further defined yet) in the nature nature and white magic billow (something like in secret of kells) appears and vanishes towards the forest

 

they follow it into the wood

 

they see a few deer.

 

the deer get scared of the white billow which turned into a creature

 

they run towards the mane6 & spike

 

the mane6 dodge but spike gets pushed into a moor and the mane6 can't get him out

while the the creature is approaching

 

one of the deer (who is not really a deer but treebark) curiously notices twilights magic that she uses trying to save spike

 

he returns and helps to distract the creature doing something that the mane6 dont understand

 

when they are safe they meet and and ask questions

 

treebark knows that he is not a normal deer but he never thought of him as a pony

 

he points out that the color of his fur and mane have similar colors of what deer have.

Applejack says not all ponies have to be that colorful. .... pinkie: and thats also why i'm pink

 

in the distance you can see other deer who use some kind of magic with their antlers to make some of the late trees grow leaves

 

treebark explains that to them. he seems to be upset that he cant help with that but the mane6 are too caught up with the fact

that he is a pony living among deer and is questioning his role as deer a little bit.(he doesnt tell them though)

 

treebark decides to come with them to ponyville

 

he goes to their parents who are not so far away and tells them that he will go to ponyville. from the distance the mane6

misinterpret a little argument between them as if he doesnt really want to live with them

 

so while he wants to go to ponyville becasue he is curious and wants to find a way to be useful the mane6 are bringing him to ponyville to

find out if he should live a deer or a pony life

 

the argument which is mostly between applejack and rainbow dash turns into some kind of competition between them about who is right and who is wrong during the episode.

 

treebark is left out of this discussion and gets more and more upset

 

spike is the first one who notices. because he trusts him tb tells spike about the reasons why he came here.

 

spike gets the mane6 together and make them listen to tb.

 

they decide to help him. in the library they find a book about deer and when they see something about that white creature in it they talk about

when they first saw it at the beginning of the episode

 

tb tells him that this is actually the white stag(next page in the book) in a different shape and that he used to come to the forest every year until

recently. they find out that what they(and probably other ponies) did at the beginning of the episode was accidentally disturbing him/forest spirits and scared him away

 

with information of the book and treebark they find a way to bring him back(this could involve the everfree forest)

 

they manage him to come back (there could be a scene with the white stag running through the forest and make all the forest behind him grow white blooms)

 

treebark found a way ro be useful, ponies and deer are brought a little more together, the mane6 learned a lesson and everyone is happy.

 

the end

 

 

i rushed this. so i might not have explained everything good enough or didnt think of details yet.

it also lacks the details of the conflict between applejack and rainbow dash. that could be borrowed from other outlines though.

trivia about deer magic:

it is not universal magic but can only be used to make plants grow better. they do that by getting near to it or touching it.

after doing a lot of "gardening support" the antlers power gets depleted and they have to regrow them for the next year.

sience fact: antlers are one of the fastgest growing tissues in the animal kindom so this even makes kind of sense.
