  1. Having this a "Treebark going to Ponyville episode" Is just as equally potential than Treebark meeting Spike (I may have to add, that the same setting of Treebark having a conversation with Spike CAN be made in Ponyville).
  2. As the whole episode is talking about how Treebark is trying to handle is own identity, going to Ponyville to make him meet his own race, which has never seen before, handles very good the part of Treebark discovering himself. (And stated before by the group, that it should be most part of the plot) Treebark wouldn't be able to discover things about himself if he doesn't interacts with other Ponies. Having him interact with other characters of his same race, rather than having somebody that actually it's kind of equall to him because of the things he has lived, should be a better option for the development of the story.
  3. Yes, having the idea of Spike and Treebark being relatable it's a good idea, as both are kids, they should be able to relate from their experiences quite well, because of the fact the both share a childish personality.
  4. but he should be discovering his own identity as a Pony, not how relatable can be with a baby dragon, and also, he should also trying to discover about his own roots and who he really is, and that's something that he can't do in the woods.
  5. Now, if we get both ideas togheter, having him related to ponies, and be relatable because of the experience of what he lived, would be an even better idea. The character who has all those requirements is Applejack -- As Treebark, she never met her parents, and she's a pony.
  6. To finish, i would like this episode NOT to be a Spike episode. At least not completely. To care about him? Yes. To actually develop a friendship and some dialogue with Treebark? Yes. To make the whole episode be how Spike can relate to Treebark? No. It can be used as a plot-device to actually bring some feelings to the public, but the whole episode needs to be about Treebark's real identity and his self-discovery, and not an episode about "who can Treebark relate to in the main 6 (And spike! (In the woods, don't forget the woods.))".
  7. As a sidenote, we could add a plot-device: The Deer tribe it's about to go when the main six finds the deers, and they will leave in 1 day. Treebark must decide if he should know more about his own roots, or just keep living with the lie the rest of his life, not knowing what he really is. After all: Do Or Deer.
