I paid for an art commission that was guaranteed to be delivered by April 8th. I said the LATEST I would need it by would be April 15th. You have stated that no progress on the artwork has been made last we talked, and after you missed your guaranteed date, you cut off communication with me. The event which I needed the artwork for is now half-way over. EVEN if you made the artwork at this point, it's use would be redundant, since it was to advertise for a specific event within a LIMITED time frame. The last message I left you was one for inquiry about a refund which I have not received a response to. This leaves me with no other resolve than to bring this dispute via paypal and demand a full refund.

I was in the hospital during the last week due to a Suicide Attempt and was investigated by the Bradenton Police department. I have severe Bipolar Type I. This was NOT anticipated and it is covered under Medical Leave of Absence.

First - the suicide thing was nothing I could be sure of. For all I knew you could have been scamming me, and two - yes I would like to see proof, just to be 100% sure.

 

I don't recall seeing the 'agent' portion of the form, the rest of the terms I remember filling out. And I have no copy that was sent to me after I finished filling out the form so I'm unable to double check.

 

And I NEVER dealt with anyone but yourself, there was no agent involved - so I'm not sure if you just added that recently... or if it's something I overlooked. All of our conversations, emails, and correspondence has been in DIRECT contact with yourself and I, nor did you ever mention a third party was to be involved.

 

And no - nothing about medical leave of absence was "covered" in our conversations. If you were "hired" to a normal job then yea, I can understand where medical leave of absence is included, but this is FREELANCE work. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! The perks of vacation, medical leave of absence, etc. etc. do not fall on your clients shoulders. They pay you for finishing the product(s), plain and simple.

 

If your story really is true, then you have my condolences. But that doesn't change the fact that I no longer have $65 in my bank account OR promotional artwork for my project campaign that was promised a week ago.

This is NOT a scam and I sat down and scanned the shit from the hospital. You asshole.
