- The Ritual

- It has been quite problematic to travel across the woods to reach the cabin of the pompous
- woman that invited me. My bike almost didn't make it, but if I learn something in my 23 years of
- life is that I can trust in only two things in this world. Myself and things I can control. "Still coming
- here goes against my guts, but if it's true, maybe I can get something from it. My life is quite

- destination.
- Parking my faithful companion, I walked to the entrance and was surprised to find in the

- Andrea and I were the first to react and as we run to kill the traitor, the cloud of energy moved.
- Rose opened her arms ready to receive it, but to everyone surprise, the cloud wasn't moving
- toward her. "No, no. This can't be!!" Rose screamed as the scroll had chosen the winner.
- "The power!! I feel it running inside me. It's glorious!!" I said floating in the air as the cloud had
- lifted me from the ground when it hit me. Then, it began to slip into my body merging with me
- and granting me the knowledge I need to use the power I was receiving.
- As the cloud of energy and I became one, I descend to the ground using my own will. "Is this

- overreacted" I said focusing and my body stopped glowing.
- "This is impossible. The scroll shouldn't have chosen you. It should be the one!" said Rose
- angered.

- this. The chosen one was suppose to be the most powerful person of the group, but it was
- referring to the power of will and not to the power of money. Next time, be sure to understand
- an ancient language when translating it" I said to Rose enjoying the shock displayed in her face.

- "It doesn't matter now. All that matters is that I won and I have a prize to collect. So who wants
- to go first?" I said very confident while enjoying the insecurity and seconds thoughts the women
