  1. Black Viper: Prologue
  2.
  3.
  4. >The heavy droplets of rain splashed against the bulletproof windows of the Huey.
  5. >You felt the slight jerk as the landing gear connected to the helipad.
  6. >You are Captain Anon of the 22nd Special Air Service Regiment of the British Army, Squadron A, Air Troops.
  7. >The door flung open and you stepped out into the thunderstorm.
  8. >You walked towards the lights marking the entrance of the testing facility.
  9. >The men guarding the door saluted you and one of them opened the door allowing you entrance into the building.
  10. >You repaid the gesture to the both of them before you make your way inside and out of the rain.
  11. >Every man in the army is a good man.
  12.
  13. >Inside, you were greeted by Colonel Johnson.
  14. >You saluted your superior.
  15. >"At ease, Captain!" he smiles.
  16. >"I’m glad to have you here, son!"
  17. >The Colonel was a balding man, now in his mid-fifties, decorated Falkland Veteran.
  18. "Sir, it is my honor." you say as you slightly bow for the elder man.
  19. >"No, it is I who is honored, Captain! You are one of our highest ranking soldiers of all times!"
  20. >His eyes showed a mixture of respect and envy.
  21. >He was never a member of the S.A.S. like you are.
  22. >He tried but fell short to make the selection.
  23. >Then again, only a few do and you were lucky enough to be one of them.
  24. >The apex predator. A perfect killing machine in flesh.
  25. >"Follow me, son!" the Colonel declared, before turning around and walking off into the distance.
  26. >You walked behind the Colonel as he led you through various grey concrete corridors.
  27. >He stopped at a heavy iron door that had to be at least 3 inches thick.
  28. >Again, two armed men stood in front of it, guarding whatever lay behind it.
  29. >The familiar gesture was once again exchanged.
  30. >The guards stepped aside, allowing the Colonel and you to step in front of the red orb located in the side of the wall.
  31. >The Colonel bowed over and looked in to the retina scanner.
  32. >A red beam of light ran up and down over his eye a few times.
  33. >Then various clicking noises could be heard and the door swiftly opened with a “whoosh”.
  34. >You walked through and it immediately closed again with a “whoosh”.
  35. >You liked the sound it made, it gave you a comforting feeling of security.
  36. >The room in front of you was awe-inspiring, to say the least.
  37. >Your jaw nearly hit the floor in response.
  38. >The Colonel chuckled at your awestruck face.
  39. >The room you were currently standing in had to be about 20 feet high and at least 80 yards long.
  40. >What immediately drew your attention was what stood in its center.
  41. >A large metal frame placed on a platform with an overwhelming amount of thick cables leading to it.
  42. >In front of it were two rows of scientists who were all madly typing on a set of computers hooked unto the machine.
  43. >Two caliber .50 MGs were constantly aiming for the frame.
  44. >It was then that you realized the true intent of the heavily reinforced door behind you.
  45. >It was not there to prevent people from getting in here.
  46. >It was there to prevent things from getting out of here.
  47. >You had a subtle idea about what the frame was but you needed to confirm your theory.
  48. "Colonel, if I might ask is that a -"
  49. >"A portal? Yes, Captain, it most certainly is!" the general interrupted.
  50. >"This is the pinnacle of human technology!" he stated.
  51. >"Only few men have had the honor of witnessing this project."
  52.
  53. >Before you could ask any further questions, one of the scientists stood up and made his way over to the both of you.
  54. >His physical appearance told you that he was definitively a man of thought, rather than one of action like you.
  55. >”Ah, Colonel Johnson.” he spoke in a weezing, nasal voice.
  56. >The high pitch grated your ears.
  57. >He was a fat computer geek.
  58. >Exactly the type of person you used to bully in school.
  59. >Those were fun times.
  60. >"And you are?" he asked, snapping you out of your sweet reminiscants of your youth.
  61. "Captain Anon, 22nd Special Air Service Regiment of the British Army, Squadron A, Air Troops!" you barked.
  62. >He visibly flinched a bit at your response.
  63. >Internally, you smirked at his cowardice.
  64. >Your face however carried the same stoic expression as always.
  65. >"Well, Captain, your outstanding achievements have led to the decision of making youthe first man to step through that port-"
  66. >The Colonel was interrupted by one of the scientists jumping up and revealing a semtex vest under his lab coat.
  67. >He rushed over to the portal.
  68. >"Humanity isn't meant to leave the earth! The earth circles the sun! God created the universe in seven days, and there is no sentient life but mankind!"
  69.
  70. >That was certainly something new.
  71. >Christians blowing themselves up!
  72. >You jumped behind the computers and pulled the Colonel down with you.
  73. >The explosion shook the whole room to its foundations.
  74. >You felt the heat of the incinerating firewave on your skin, as it made its way mere centimeters above your head.
  75. >After the blaze had ended and you had regained your bearings somewhat, you peeled out of the cover.
  76. >The portal frame was ripped in two parts and there were large sparks traveling from one half to the other.
  77. >You were no scientist but that did not look like a good sign to you.
  78. >Definitively not a good sign.
  79. >You walked out of cover to look for a way to cut off the power to the portal.
  80. >That was the worst decision of your entire life.
  81. >A lightning bolt shot out of the portal and hit your square in the chest.
  82. >And then the world faded to black..
  83.
  84.
  85. >"Is it dead?"
  86. >A female, rather tomboyish voice spoke up.
  87. >You felt something poking your side. It hurt.
  88. >"No Rainbow, and stop touching it!" another female voice spoke up.
  89. >You opened your eyes and looked around.
  90. >Above you stood..
  91. >Well, you’re not sure about that actually.
  92. >It reminded you of a horse, a pony to be more precise.
  93. >But it was purple.
  94. >And it had a horn on its head.
  95.
  96. >She shrieked and jumped back, causing more shrieks and jumps in return.
  97. >Six, if you counted that right.
  98. >Four females, one male, and the tomboyish one.
  99. >You sat up and took in your surroundings.
  100. >There were five others of these pony-like creatures, and one… lizard?
  101. >They were all colored very brightly.
  102.
  103. >You used your chance to scan the environment.
  104. >You were lying on a couch in a library.
  105. >No chains, no torture instruments. So far, so good.
  106. >The creatures stared at you fearfully, until the purple one approached you again.
  107. >"W-What are you?" it tentatively asked.
  108. >The question was dedicated more to herself and less to you.
  109. >Never the less, you answered her.
  110. "It’s who. Who are you. Not what, thank you very much..'
  111. >She shrieked but this time, instead of jumping she spoke up completely confused.
  112. >"You- You can talk?"
  113. "Well, obviously. Why'd you ask me a question otherwise.." you stated bluntly.
  114.
  115. >”But- I've never seen anything like you before! What species are you?"
  116. "I'm a human. Male, if you were doubting that."
  117. >"Strange, I never heard of a creature liked that in Equestria!"
  118. >Equestria.
  119. >So that’s where the portal brought you then.
  120. >"I´m Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia’s most faithful student."
  121. >She beamed up when she said that, clearly very proud of whatever it was that that title encompassed.
  122. >She'd have to bring out something bigger if she was trying to impress you..
  123.
  124. >The orange one walked up to you.
  125. >It wore a Stetson hat and had apples tattooed on her ass.
  126. >Aside from the lizard, they all seemed to have some sort of ass tattoo.
  127. >Might be some sort of initiation rite from their culture..
  128. >"Howdy, Ahm Applejack, and ah run Sweet Apple Acres, the best Apple farm in all of Equestria!"
  129. >The cyan blue tomboyish one hovered over.
  130. >You then noticed it had wings.
  131. >The longer you were here, the less sense things seemed to make.
  132. >"I'm Rainbow Dash, fastest flyer of all Equestria!"
  133. >Suddenly, the pink one popped its head out from the couch.
  134. >"I'm Pinkie Pie!" she exclaimed happily.
  135. >You stared at her, asking yourself how that was even possible.
  136. >The marshmallow-colored one walked towards you now and to your surprise, she spoke up in a British accent.
  137. >Or, to put it right, the others all had an American accent.
  138. >Apart from the orange one, she seemed to have a certain country fall-of-tongue.
  139. >None the less, your country invented the language!
  140.
  141.
  142. >"I am Rarity, owner of the Carousel Boutique!"
  143. >The small lizard walked up to you
  144. >"My name is Spike and I'm Twilight's assistant!"
  145. >The only one who hadn't talked yet was the yellow one.
  146. >It slowly walked over and stammered
  147. >"I- I'm Fluttershy.”
  148. >She blushed terribly.
  149. >The others looked at you expectantly.
  150. "I'm Anon."
  151. >"Hello, Anon! Welcome to Equestria! Is there a reason you are here?"
  152. "I'm sorry, but I can’t tell you that."
  153. >"Wh- What? Why not?"
  154. "I'm sorry, but I can’t tell you that either."
  155. >She shot you a glare.
  156. >"Spike, write a letter to the princes. Tell her about Anon. And his avoidant reactions to my questions!"
  157. >The lizard took a roll of parchment and a quill, and started to write a letter.
  158. >When he was done, he breathed fire upon it.
  159. >You jumped off the couch at that.
  160. "You- You are a dragon?"
  161. >He smirked. "Afraid?"
  162. "N-No, not really. Just surprised is all."
  163. >Suddenly, a white flash lighted up the room.
  164. >You immediately jumped into cover.
  165. >Dem military reflexes.
  166. >You stuck your head out, and were face to face with a much bigger white horse.
  167. >The others bowed in front of her
  168. >"Rise my little ponies, there is no need for such formalities!"
  169. >Her voice was soft and motherly.
  170. >You left your cover, looking straight in her eyes.
  171. >She was as tall as you are.
  172. >Impressive. The others barely reached to your waist.
  173. >"So, you are Anon?"
  174. >You nod.
  175. >"I'm princess Celestia."
  176. >You are not impressed.
  177. >"Twilight told me you refused to answer her questions. Why is that so?"
  178. "I'm sorry, but I can't answer that."
  179. >She sighed.
  180. >"I see, you're either stubborn or trained not to answer."
  181. >"And looking at your clothes, I guess it’s the former."
  182. >"I will take him to the castle, my little ponies!"
  183.
  184. >There is another flash of white and you find yourself on top of a tower.
  185. >You are on top of some sort of castle.
  186. >But you doubt it could face any siege.
  187. >It was more like some fairy-tale bullshit.
  188. >"I give you one last chance to co-operate, Anon."
  189. >You just look sternly at her.
  190. >She sighs and her horn began to glow.
  191. >You stepped back but she was quick like a viper and made contact with your forehead
  192. >Nothing happened.
  193. >She pulled back in horror.
  194. >"The… the world you come from… such horror… such violence."
  195. >She pulled you in a warm embrace, her wings wrapping around you.
  196. >Dafuq?
  197. >She pulled back and looked deeply into your eyes.
  198. >"I- I read your memories.. the things you saw, and did.."
  199. "I guess you’ll eliminate me now seeing me as a possible threat to your kingdom?"
  200. >"N- No! I would never do such a thing!"
  201. >You looked at her in confusion.
  202. >"I shall permit you to stay in our world and live the rest of your life in Ponyville, in the hope that you will find peace among us!"
  203. >You were taken aback by that.
  204. "Tha- Thank you, Princess!"
  205. >She smiled, and teleported you back.
  206. >"My little ponies, Anon here will live in Ponyville from now on!"
  207. "A new house for him must be build, so I ask if one of you is ready to share her home with him a few weeks.”
  208. >”I- I will take care of him, Princess.” the yellow one timidly spoke up.
  209. >"Great! Now that that's settled, you must excuse me my little ponies -and human- but the royal duties await me."
  210. >The others said their goodbyes and you saluted to her.
  211. >She teleported away in yet another white flash.
  212. >You turned to the yellow one.
  213. "Thank you for letting me stay at your house. That's very kind of you!"
  214. >Oh, that's nothing! I'm sure you will love it!"
  215.
