  1. >The doorbell rings
  2. >What the hell? It's almost midnight. Who in their right mind would show up so late?
  3. >You groan and sluggishly pull yourself out of bed
  4. >Throwing on some of your favorite bunny slippers, you flick on the hallway light and make your way downstairs
  5. >You pause, briefly considering if it's a robber of some sort
  6. >The idea is quickly shaken off. That's retarded. What kind of robber would ring the doorbell?
  7. >You grab the handle and throw open the door
  8. "Hello?"
  9. >None's there
  10. >The fuck?
  11. >From the ground you hear a little yawn
  12. >You look down and see-
  13. >Holy shit
  14. >A filly Celestia is sitting on your doorstep
  15. >She looks as groggy are you, if not more so. She's got a little red bow, like the kind you see on Christmas presents attached to her mane and a tag attached to that
  16. >It reads, "To: Anon, From: ???"
  17. >A gift to Anonymous from someone anonymous. Cute.
  18. >Upon making eye contact with you, her expression lights up and she gives you a warm smile
  19. >"Hi! I'm Celestia!"
  20. >Oh god your heart
  21. >No, control yourself. Don't scare the filly
  22. "Uh...I'm Anonymous. But...you can just call me Anon. I think."
  23. >A chill wind blows, making both you and filly Celestia shiver
  24. >"Mr. Anon if it's not too much to ask...Could I maybe...stay here for the night...?"
  25. >Of course you can you cute fucking horse
  26. >Trying to contain your power level, you simply nod and gesture for her to come inside
  27. >She happily does so and you close the door behind her
  28. >What is going on
  29. >Celestia looks around your apartment in absolute awe, like a kid going to Disney Land for the first time
  30. >She trots over to the couch and leaps onto it like a medium sized dog
  31. >You just stare at her for a while
  32. >What was she doing here?
  33. >After a while she catches you staring and tilts her head
  34. >"What?"
  35. >You shake your head, snapping yourself out of it
  36. "Nothing. Um...would you like anything to drink?"
  37. >She bashfully hides her face behind her hooves
  38. >"Yes please..."
  39. >You nod and walk over to the kitchen
  40. >Considering the time, you pull a jug of milk out of the refrigerator, pour some, and heat it up in the microwave
  41. >After it's all said and done, you carefully take the plastic cup over to her, making sure to be very careful as not to spill
  42. >She's patiently sitting on your couch, staring at you with those big eyes of hers
  43. >Holy shit those eyes are so fucking cute you can't even
  44. "Here you go..."
  45. >You gently place to cup in her hooves, and she gracefully takes it
  46. >You sit in the armchair across from your couch, listening to her little sips and wondering what you should ask her first
  47. "Uh...look, Celestia. I was just wondering-"
  48. >You halt your thoughts as you notice the white filly curled into a ball on your couch, snoring gently
  49. >You chuckle quietly and grab a blanket
  50. >Of course. She's young and probably exhausted. There would be time for questions in the morning
  51. >You place the blanket over her and walk back to the stairs, taking one last look at her
  52. "Goodnight 'Tia."
  53. >Maybe you were imagining it, but it looked like a faint smile on her face
  54. >You flick off the light and walk back to your room in the dark
  55. >Filly Celestia was now a resident in your home
  56. >POOMF
  57. >Something heavy lands on your bed
  58. >What the-
  59. "AAAAAH!"
  60. >You let out an exclamation of surprise as you see a pair of bright violet eyes gazing into yours
  61. >You end up falling off the bed and end up landing on your head
  62. >CRITICAL HIT
  63. "Owwwww..."
  64. >Celestia scrambles to the edge of your bed
  65. >"Mr. Anon! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to startle you!"
  66. >You rub the spot that you fell on, forcing a laugh to cease the filly's worrying
  67. "Nah, I'm fine. I've been hit by worse."
  68. >She raises an eyebrow in skeptic concern
  69. >"Are you sure?"
  70. >You stand up slowly, trying not to get a headrush
  71. "See? Perfectly fine!"
  72. >This seems good enough for her, as she visiblly relaxes and smiles
  73. "Now let's go get some breakfast."
  74. >She nods and jumps off your bed, cantering out the bedroom door
  75. >You follow her downstairs and haul your ass into the kitchen
  76. >You can't exactly cook, so you look around for something she can eat
  77. >Bingo
  78. >With an expert combination of oats, water, and a little bit of cinnamon, you're able to whip up a bowl of oatmeal
  79. >It isn't exactly gourmet, but it'll do
  80. >Celestia walks over to your table and tries to pull a chair out. She succeeds, but actually getting onto the chair is out of her control
  81. >"Um...Mr. Anon?"
  82. >You laugh and place the oatmeal bowl on the table
  83. "Here, let me help you out."
  84. >You stoop down and lift her up. She's not light, but not overlly heavy either. She's about the weight of a small child
  85. >You set her down gently in the chair and she beams at you
  86. >You'd be willing to help her into that chair a million times for that smile
  87. >She curiously looks at the bowl
  88. >"What is it?"
  89. "It's oatmeal. It's pretty simple, so I hope you don't mind too much."
  90. >You give her a spoon which she takes with her magic
  91. >She cautiosly lifts up a spoonful of the goop and feels it with her tongue. After deciding it's good enough to eaten, she hungrily devours the rest of the contents of the bowl
  92. >She levitates a napkin from the center of the table over to her mouth and gently pats the corners
  93. >"Thank you Mr. Anon. That was very tasty."
  94. >You smile at her and wave a hand
  95. "Bah, it's nothing. I could probablly whip up better if I really applied myself to it."
  96. >Celestia seems completely enthralled by this idea
  97. >"You can make better?"
  98. >You blush a little bit at having been put on the spot
  99. >"Well...maybe. I don't know. Anyway, there was something I wanted to ask you about your stay."
  100. >A wave of something that resembles dread washes over her
  101. >"Am I...going to have to leave now?"
  102. >That hit you hard
  103. "NO! No, you're fine! I quite enjoy your company actually. It's just...where did you come from? And why are you here of all places?"
  104. >She paused and thought long and hard, searching for an answer
  105. >"I dunno."
  106. >What
  107. "You...don't know?"
  108. >"Nope."
  109. >Well that was pointless. You consider pushing her further for an answer you can hold on to, but you remind herself she's still just a child
  110. >Hell, she probably knows less than you
  111. "Well...until we figure it out, would you...maybe like to stay here?"
  112. >Her face gets brigher than the sun, pun aside
  113. >"Ohhhhh! Can I really?!"
  114. >You nod
  115. >"Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!"
  116. >She jumnps down and hugs your leg. She turns to leave the kitchen but stops at the entrance
  117. >"Oh, and Mr. Anon?"
  118. "Yes?"
  119. >"I'm really looking forward to trying your food."
  120. >The rest of the day passes quietly. Celestia is content to exploring your apartment or watching you go about your daily activities
  121. >For lunch you made macaroni and cheese
  122. >For dinner, ramen
  123. >You really need to get better at cooking
  124. >Soon, it's time to start winding down. You shower and head downstairs to check up on her
  125. >"Mr. Anon, can you tuck me in?"
  126. >You take the same blanket you placed on her the night before and wrapped it around her like a cute little burrito
  127. "Better?"
  128. >She giggles a little bit
  129. >"Better"
  130. >You nod and make your way up stairs
  131. >"Goodnight Mr. Anon!"
  132. "Goodnight Celestia."
  133. >The lights flick off
  134. >You settle into bed and drift off
  135. >Knock knock kncock
  136. >It feels like you'd just gotten to sleep, but you're pulled out of it regardless
  137. >You mumble into the darkness
  138. "Come in..."
  139. >Celestia opens the door and walks in cautiously as if she were entering a minefield. Which, in her head was probablly what was happening
  140. >"I-I'm sorry to disturb you Mr. Anon, b-but I..."
  141. >She inhales before pushing her embarresment aside
  142. >"I had a nightmare..."
  143. >You beckon for her to sit next to you
  144. >She scurries over and fumbles to pull herself onto your bed
  145. "Do you want to talk about it?"
  146. >She takes another deep breathe
  147. >"I was alone...Except, there were faces...they kept yelling at me for being different..."
  148. >She trails off and starts to sniffle
  149. >Oshit, red alert. Crying females aren't in your job description
  150. >At a loss for what to do, you give her a hug
  151. "Hey...I'm still here, aren't I? You don't have to worry about being alone anymore."
  152. >"B-b-b-but, what if you d-d-don't like me anymore?"
  153. >You tighten the squeeze of your hug
  154. "That's not going to happen. You're the most likeable pers...pony in the world!"
  155. >She sniffles and wipes an eye
  156. >"Y-you think so?"
  157. "I KNOW so. I won't ever make you leave. This can be your home as much as it is mine. I mean...if you want."
  158. >She sighs with relief
  159. >There's a long silence between you two before you breaks it
  160. >"Anon?"
  161. >This is the first time she's dropped the formalities. You decide to return the gesture
  162. "Yes, Tia?"
  163. >"C...can I sleep with you tonight?"
  164. >Your heart beats a little bit faster. No one has ever slept with you before, romantically or not
  165. "S-sure!"
  166. >You move over a bit and she digs her way through the blankets. It doesn't take long for her head to pop out and rest on your pillow
  167. >She blinks once with those large innocent eyes and smiles
  168. >Then she moves over a little bit and rests her head on your chest
  169. >You try to remain calm, but you're fighting a losing battle against sheer cuteness here
  170. >"Your heart is beating kind of fast Anon."
  171. >You shrug and try and slow your breathing. She can't get to sleep if you're all tense, you remind your dumbass self
  172. >You wrap an arm around her, which proves to be the right choice of action because Celestia is completely calm now
  173. >She snuggles up against you a little bit more before letting out her signature light snores
  174. >The warmth of another living being on you makes you tired as well, and soon you're gone
  175. >Beep beep! Beep beep!
  176. >Fuck
  177. >The woes of Monday morning are shared simutaneously throughout every man's soul
  178. >You smack the alarm clock and will yourself into an upright position
  179. >Celestia is sleeping next to you peacefully. The alarm didn't wake her it seems
  180. >Which makes you feel like shit considering what you're about to do
  181. >You nudge her gently
  182. "Tia..."
  183. >She makes a barely audible noise and shifts her position. At least she's awake
  184. "Tia, I have to go now."
  185. >Her eyes shoot open and she almost throws herself upright
  186. >"What? But you said you wouldn't leave!"
  187. >Oh shit, she got the wrong idea. You guess being half awake will do that to someo...somepony
  188. "Nonononono, it's only for a few hours. I'll be back for dinner."
  189. >This calms her down a little bit, but not by much
  190. >"But what am I going to do?"
  191. >Fuck. You've hated work before, but now that you have to abandon Celestia while you do it makes you hate it a thousand times more
  192. "Well, I could make you some breakfast and lunch for you to eat later."
  193. >"Thank you, but what will I do for today?"
  194. >Shit. You hadn't thought of that
  195. >Stumbling out of bed, you dig into a drawer at your desk
  196. >Gotcha
  197. >You proudly take your prize and set it in front of Celestia
  198. >"What are these?"
  199. "These are crayons. You can draw on paper with them. There's all sorts of colors to."
  200. >She visibly lights up, delighted at the prospect of custom art. She almost completely forgets about you having to leave
  201. >Almost
  202. >"I'll miss you, Anon."
  203. "I'll miss you too, Tia."
  204. >You made the both of you a breakfast of cereal
  205. >She poked at it for a bit before trying it, but gave it approval after finishing it off
  206. >Leaving sucked
  207. >You gave each other a brief hug (which Celestia tried to extend by latching on to your neck and trying to come with you) and then you were off to work
  208. >The day dragged by like you were stuck in the asshole of Father Time
  209. >All you could think about for most the day was Celestia
  210. >Where on earth did this miniture cartoon horse come from?
  211. >Finally, your work shift ended and you drove home
  212. >You unlocked the door and walked inside
  213. "Tia, I'm home!"
  214. >Celestia sits in the middle of the floor with papers strewn all about as she happily colors. When she sees you, her face shifts to an expression of pure joy
  215. >"Anon!"
  216. >She breaks into full gallop towards you
  217. >You crouch down and catch her hug, which is so powerful it ends up knocking you flat on your back. She snuggles up against you
  218. >"I'm so happy you're back!"
  219. >You smile in response
  220. "I'm happy to be back. Did you manage without me?"
  221. >She nods
  222. >"Mm-hm! Look what I drew!"
  223. >She floats a piece of paper over to you
  224. "Oh? What's this?"
  225. >Your heart nearly stops
  226. "T-Tia, is this..."
  227. >You gingerly take the piece of paper from her
  228. "...us?"
  229. >She nods eccentricly
  230. >"Your suit was kind of hard to draw, so I made it a rectangle. I hope you don't mind."
  231. >Your eyes start to water at the simple crayola art piece
  232. "Th-thank you. It's wonderful."
  233. >"Anon, why are you crying?"
  234. >You wipe an eye
  235. "People don't always cry when they're sad. Sometimes they cry when they're really happy."
  236. >"Are you happy right now?"
  237. >You nod and give her a giant hug
  238. "Happiest I've ever been in my life."
  239. >You break the hug and walk into the kitchen
  240. >Celestia curiously follows you, probablly confused as to what you're doing
  241. >You reach into a drawer and withdraw a simple round magnet to hang the drawing on the refridgerator
  242. "There. Now I'll be able to see it every morning."
  243. >She grins proudly
  244. >"So...what's for dinner?"
  245. >You think about this for a while. When you were living by yourself, most of your meals were just scavaged
  246. >Then, an idea strikes you
  247. >You grin at Celestia
  248. "How about...we try cooking together?"
  249. >She gasps, and gives you a mile long smile
  250. >That probablly means yes
  251. >Celestia screams as the fire alarm goes off and your entire kitchen is soaked
  252. "WHY. I JUST WANTED TO MAKE A CORNBREAD."
  253. >After bating away the smoke with a broom, the water finally shuts off and the two of you stand there sopping wet
  254. >It started off simple enough: You searched for a recipe online, gathered the ingrediants...
  255. >But then you two started goofing off
  256. >It started with you booping her nose with batter on it, then devolved into her chasing you around the kitchen with an armada of towels at her disposal
  257. >And then you lost track of time and the fire alarm went off
  258. >The two of you stand there for a little while longer, before breaking out into laughter
  259. "Mental note to self: Set the timer next time."
  260. >She nods and you both proceed to collect your spoils
  261. "OW. OW. HOT. OW."
  262. >Another mental note to self: Buy some oven mits
  263. >The pan of burned cornbread lands ungracefully on the table and you both stare it for a while
  264. >"It looks like your suit."
  265. "Eheheh, well...you've gotta start somewhere, right?"
  266. >Smooth
  267. >You grab two plates and cut two pieces, putting them on her plate and your plate respectively
  268. >She frowns at the food
  269. >Shit, think of something
  270. >Before you can think any further, you grab your piece and stuff a large portion of it in your mouth, grimacing while you do so
  271. >You fight back your gag reflex and begin chewing
  272. "'ee? Ah fwood if fwine!"
  273. >You open your mouth wider for emphasis, which causes her to giggle
  274. >"Ewwwww!"
  275. >But your plan works. She finishes her slice, even though she enjoyed it about as much as you did
  276. "Why don't we get some premade meals next time?"
  277. >Celestia nods strongly with a silly grin
  278. >"Let's."
  279. >You clean up the kitchen which has been made doubly messy by the fire alarm
  280. >After your work is done, you take a look at Celestia who is still damp from the whole experience
  281. "I think you should take a bath before going to sleep tonight."
  282. >She tilts her head quizically
  283. >"What's a bath?"
  284. >You grin
  285. >Oh, the wonders you were about to reveal
  286. >You hiked upstairs got the water in the bathtub running at a nice warm tempreture
  287. >Then, you added your secret ingrediant
  288. >Bubbles
  289. >One might argue that is was odd more a grown man to have the soap needed for a bubble bath, but it was a nice way to decompress on really stressful days
  290. >You hear Celestia come up from behind you
  291. >"Anon? Whatcha doin'?"
  292. "Behold...the BUBBLE BATH!"
  293. >You step away from your creation and proudly present it like a magician
  294. >She blinks
  295. >"What does it do?"
  296. >Without another word, you pick her up and carefully place her in the tub
  297. >Her confusion goes from confusion, to breif terror, to one of absolute bewilderment
  298. "EEEEE! It's like sitting on a cloud!"
  299. >She squeals with delight and splashes around in the water
  300. >You chuckle, glad to see your craftsmanship pay off
  301. "Alright, alright. Lemme wash your hai-mane."
  302. >You pick up some shampoo and rub it into her scalp
  303. >"Hehehe! I have a cloud on my head!"
  304. >You can't held but grin in response
  305. "Oh no! Here comes a raincloud!"
  306. >You pour some water on her head, which makes her look at you mischeviously
  307. >"I'm the monster from the deep! Rawr!"
  308. >She splashes some water at you
  309. >You laugh and throw your arms up in defense
  310. "Hey, cut it out!"
  311. >Celestia plays in the tub a little bit more to the point of even befriending the rubber duck
  312. >After you've successfully washed her, you drain the tub and dry her off
  313. >She shivers slightly upon exiting the bathroom however
  314. >You notice this and start thinking of possible remedies for this
  315. "Hey, I've got something for you."
  316. >You lead her to your room and dig around in your dresser until you find what you were looking for
  317. "Those are some old pajamas of mine. I can't fit in them anymore because they're too small for me, but maybe they'll work for you."
  318. >She gratefully takes them and trips over herself trying to get them on
  319. >You chuckle a bit at the sight
  320. "Here, let me help you out."
  321. >After a little bit of difficulty, the jammies are on Celestia were successfully placed
  322. >In the end however, they looked way too big and goofy on her
  323. >Despite how they look, she seems comfortable enough in them
  324. >She jumps up on your bed and stares at you with those big eyes of hers
  325. >"Anon? Can you read me a bedtime story?"
  326. >A bedtime story? It's a wonderful way to end the night, but do you know of any bedtime stories?
  327. >No, you don't
  328. >But you could make one up
  329. >You take a seat next to her on the bed as she snuggles up next to you
  330. "Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria..."
  331.
  332. >The week passes with each moment you spend with Celestia being wonderful
  333. >Finally, Friday's workshif ends and the weekend begins
  334. >It's Saturday morning, and Celestia is playing in your backyard
  335. >It's warm out, and you're about to doze off
  336. >Then Celestia screams
  337. >With all the time you've spent with her, you're able to tell when her screams are out of happiness or agony
  338. >This wasn't a happy scream
  339. >You launch yourself onto your feet, only to stop yourself when you see Celestia galloping towards you with something in her levitation field
  340. >"Anooooon!"
  341. >She places it in your hands
  342. >"Something's wrong with him!"
  343. >It's a baby bird with a broken wing
  344. >Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit
  345. "Uh...um..."
  346. >"Can you fix him?"
  347. >Your mind races for possibilites. You gulp
  348. "I'll...I'll see what I can do."
  349. >You dig up an old shoebox and some cloth and gently set the baby bird inside
  350. >You pull a dropper out from your kitchen, fill it with water and try giving the bird something to drink
  351. >The bird weakly accepts and lays its head down
  352. >Meanwhile Celestia is watching you the entire time
  353. >Just when you think it can't get any worse, the bird's breathing slows
  354. >No
  355. >No, you CAN'T die!
  356. >It isn't long before the bird stops breathing completely
  357. >Nonononononono
  358. >"Hey...Mr. Birdie...? Wake up..."
  359. >Shit this isn't good
  360. >Fuck
  361. >You take a deep breath
  362. "Celestia, he's not going to wake up."
  363. >She gives you a confused glance
  364. >"What? Why not?"
  365. >You're going to have to explain death to her
  366. "Well...we all have life. It's what keeps us awake. When we die...that's when we lose our life, we can't...wake up anymore."
  367. >Celestia looks completely distraught at this. Her eyes begin to water
  368. >"S-so...I won't be able to see Mr. Birdie again...?"
  369. "...No, I'm afraid not."
  370. >At this point, Celestia has began to cry
  371. >"Why didn't you fix him?!"
  372. "I tired! I'm sorry, there wasn't anything I could do..."
  373. >"You're lying!"
  374. >She gallops up the stairs sobbing
  375. "Celestia, wait!"
  376. >She heads for your room and slams the door
  377. >Shit, that hurt. She had never called you a liar before. Or expressed any negative emotion at you for that matter
  378. >You run up the stairs after her and grab the handle
  379. "Celestia, please...Open the-"
  380. >You turn the handle and the door opens. It appears she didn't lock it
  381. "...door."
  382. >She has her face burried into your pillow and is quietly sobbing now, hiccuping as she does so
  383. >You sit down next to her gingerly
  384. >How to go about this...
  385. >She looks up at you
  386. >She's a complete mess
  387. >"Why did Mr. Birdie have to die...?"
  388. >You pat her reassuringly
  389. "We all die eventually. It's a natural part of life. Some people believe in Heaven, which is where we can all meet up again after we die."
  390. >"Will Mr. Birdie go to Heaven?"
  391. >You don't know. You're not sure what you beleive, but in this moment, comforting Celestia is what's important
  392. "Yes, Mr. Birdie is in Heaven right now."
  393. >She sniffles and sits up
  394. >"I'll miss him very much."
  395. "Me too. If it makes you feel any better though, I'm not planning on dying any time soon."
  396. >"Y-you'd better not..."
  397. >She buries her face into your side
  398. >You laugh half-heartedly and pick her up, cradling her as you walk out of the room
  399. "C'mon. Let's go get some lunch."
  400.
  401. >Months pass and the weather starts to get colder
  402. >Celestia approaches you and questions you frequently about the changes occuring around you two
  403. >"What's wrong with Mr. Tree? Why is he losing his leaves?"
  404. >You find it cute how she adds Mr. in front of everything unfamilier to her. It makes you feel especially good when you realize she stopped calling you Mr. Anon after meeting you
  405. "Oh, he just doesn't like the cold. Once it gets warmer again, his leaves will grow back."
  406. >"So he'll be alright in the Sping?"
  407. "He'll be alright in the spring."
  408. >Before you know it, it's December
  409. "Hey Celestia, come outside!"
  410. >The little white filly trots over to the door, opens it with her magic, and steps out
  411. >"What is it, Anon?"
  412. "Look!"
  413. >You point to the sky as the Winter's first snowflake drifts slowly down
  414. "Snow!"
  415. >It lands on her nose, making her blink and shake her head
  416. >"Brrrrr! It's cold!"
  417. >This emits a small laugh from you
  418. "I need to get some Winter gear for you. But until then, I don't think you've ever had hot chocolate or sat by a fireplace."
  419. >Celestia shakes her head
  420. "Well then, today will be a first!"
  421. >You've been getting better at preparing food as the months passed, so making hot chocolate is a breeze
  422. >You walk slowly with the two cups over to where Celestia sits on the couch
  423. "Here you are milady."
  424. >She does a courteous little bow as she takes the mug
  425. >"Much obliged my good sir!"
  426. >You both giggle at the silly formalities. It's especially funny for you because of all the neckbeards who try and act chivalrous and drop all of their spaghetti
  427. >You set your mug on the coffee table and get to work placing kindle in the fireplace
  428. >After some you light it and poke around at it a bit, the flames jump to life, roaring and crackling as tiny embers are sent through the air
  429. >Celestia stares at the fire, mesmerized by it
  430. >"Whoa..."
  431. "Do you want to sit in front of it?"
  432. >She throws you a confused glance
  433. "It's safe, I promise."
  434. >To further prove your point, you take a spot in front of the roaring fire and pat the ground next to you
  435. >Celestia trots over with trepidation. She trusts you, but isn't completely sure it's a good idea
  436. >After sitting down she pauses, then looks up at you with a giddy smile
  437. >"It's so warm~!"
  438. >You chuckle and nod
  439. "Yep. That it is."
  440. >Celestia takes a sip from her mug, before pulling it back in surprise
  441. >A bit of marshmellow got stuck to her nose. She goes cross eyed for a moment, staring at it and giggles
  442. >"Mr. Marshmellow likes me so much he doesn't want to leave!"
  443. >You laugh at the sight and pick up a tissue
  444. "Here, lemme get that for you."
  445. >After you clean her snout and both of you finish your hot chocolate, Celestia curls up in your lap like a puppy and yawns
  446. >You have never been more comfy in your life
  447. >You stroke her fur and hum as she dozes off
  448. >Before long, you doze off too
  449. >"ANON! Anon wake up!"
  450. >Celestia shakes you out of your sleep
  451. "Mm...? I'm awake, I'm awake. What's up?"
  452. >"The world outside is white!"
  453. >Wha-?
  454. >Oh
  455. "Lemme take a look."
  456. >You pull yourself to your feet and trudge over to the window
  457. >Sure enough, the outside has a couple feet of snow
  458. >You grin at her
  459. "Do you want to go outside in it?"
  460. >She gasps
  461. >"ohhh, can we?!"
  462. "Sure. But first, let me at least get you warmly dressed."
  463. >After some digging around, you find a stripped blue scarf, matching ear muffs, and some black boots
  464. >You fit them all on her, and it looks fine for the most part
  465. "All right, let me put on a jacket and we'll head outside."
  466. >You do so and Celestia takes her first step into Winter Wonderland
  467. >"Anon! Anon! Look! The snow is in the shape of my hoof!"
  468. >She prances around, rolling in the fully moldable world that is snow
  469. >"Hey, do you want to build a snowman?"
  470. >With the help of Celestia's magic, and your adult male body strength, you two role three balls of snow
  471. >One small, one medium and one large
  472. >With great precision, you place each ball on top of the other
  473. >"Now what?"
  474. >You pause
  475. "Wait here."
  476. >She raises an eyebrow and plops her flank in the snow
  477. >After a short while, you emerge from the house with a pair of sticks from the kindling stash, a carrot, two buttons, and little bits of coal
  478. >You offer them to Celestia, who takes the smaller objects with great care and starts to decorate the face
  479. >WE CAN REBUILD HIM
  480. >As you stab the two sticks into the snowman's side, you funny thought crosses your mind
  481. "The snowman never asked for this."
  482. >"What?"
  483. "Nothing."
  484. >Soon, your work of art is complete
  485. >You both step back and admire the snowman
  486. >"Still feels like he's missing something..."
  487. >She pauses before prancing happily over to the structure
  488. >With her levitation spell, she takes off her scarf and wraps it around the snowman's neck
  489. >"There! Now he won't have to worry about getting cold!"
  490. >Her thoughtfulness and way of putting others before herself never ceased to surprise you
  491. >You smile and turn to go inside, but stop
  492. >Celestia's back is turned
  493. >You grin a devilish grin, feeling the human incarnate of the grinch and loving every moment of it
  494. >You stoop down and begin to pack some snow together in your palms
  495. >You launch your projectile
  496. >SPLAT
  497. >"Hey!"
  498. >Direct hit!
  499. >She whirls around and pouts angrily at you
  500. >"That wasn't fair!"
  501. "Well you know what they say, the best defense is a good offense!"
  502. >You begin to pack another snowball, when two cold projectiles smack into your face
  503. >Wait, two?
  504. >You look up and see Celestia already has twenty or so snowballs held in her levitation field
  505. >Oh shit
  506. >Without a second thought she begins launching them at you in rapidfire
  507. >Pafpafpafpafpafpafpafpaf
  508. >You throw your snowball, but one of her own crashes into it, canceling it out
  509. >With her not giving you much time to replenish your ammo, you do the one thing humans have done to survive since the dawn of time
  510. >Run
  511. >But even as you run, snowballs are still slamming into your back
  512. >Maybe challenging Equestria's goddess to a snowball fight wasn't such a good idea after all
  513. >Regardless of whether it was or not, you laugh as you make your retreat
  514. "I regret nothing!"
  515. >You trip and fall face first in the snow. You turn around to get up, but she already has you pinned down
  516. >"Apologize to your princess!"
  517. >You clasp your hands together
  518. "Forgive me your majesty, I was wrong to attack you with a snowball."
  519. >She grins and throws another snowball in your face
  520. "Hey!"
  521. >"Apology accepted."
  522. >You both laugh as you stand up to go back inside
  523. "Come on, let's go get warm."
  524. >You pause for a moment, thinking it odd how she referred to herself as a princess
  525. "By the way, Princess Celestia?"
  526. >She shrugs
  527. >"It just seems like it would be a cool thing to be when I grow up."
  528. >You nod. Every little girl wants to be a princess after all
  529. >It's the 25th of December
  530. >You call Celestia over to where you sit by the fireplace
  531. >"What is it, Anon?"
  532. >As she sits down, you make sure she doesn't notice the box behind your back
  533. "Do you know what day it is?"
  534. >She shakes her head
  535. "It's Christmas. And on Christmas you can give a gift to someone you really care about."
  536. >You push the box over to her
  537. "Merry Christmas."
  538. >She stares at the box with wide eyes, then looks to you
  539. "Go on, open it."
  540. >Without waiting another moment, she tears into the box and removes
  541. >"A BIRDIE!"
  542. >The red and orange bird flaps up to Celestia and sits on her head
  543. "It isn't exactly Mr. Birdie, but she can at least act as your friend for now and play with you when I'm not home."
  544. >"Ohhhhh, thank you so much Anon!"
  545. >She wraps her forelegs around your neck in a tight hug
  546. "What are you going to name her?"
  547. >She pauses, thinking long and hard about a propper name
  548. >"I dub thee: Philomena!"
  549. >You figured she'd chose that name based on your knowledge of her
  550. >But you start to hear Celestia sniffle
  551. "Tia? What's wrong?"
  552. >She wipes an eye with a forehoof
  553. >"I-I d-d-d-din't g-get you anything..."
  554. >She hiccups
  555. "Aw, Tia...You don't have to worry about me. I've got plenty."
  556. >"B-but you said you get a g-gift your someone you r-really care about. And I r-eally c-c-care about you Anon."
  557. >You pull her into a giant hug
  558. "You're the best gift I could've ever received. So you don't have to worry, alright?"
  559. >She sniffles and manages a smile
  560. >"A-alright..."
  561. "Merry Christmas Tia."
  562. >"Merry Christmas to you to Anon."
  563. >You and Celestia stayed up late for New Year's, which resulted in you both crashing
  564. >The day after though, you hear her cough
  565. "That doesn't sound good."
  566. >She looks at you with her her nose all red and her mane a mess
  567. >"Anon, what's wrong with me?"
  568. "It sounds like you've caught a cold. Maybe we shouldn't have stayed up that late last night."
  569. >"But I'm not cold. I feel all hot and icky."
  570. >She sniffles
  571. "It's when you're sick. You aren't healthy, so you don't feel good."
  572. >Her eyes go wide and a little bit of fear creeps into her voice
  573. >"Will I be alright?"
  574. >You smile reassuringly
  575. "Of course you will. You just need some rest. Wait here while I go get some medicine. Philomena, keep an eye on her."
  576. >Philomena chirps and flies over, landing on Celestia's back
  577. >That was weird. It was like she understood you
  578. >Then again, you've got a talking cartoon horse living with you, so nothing's outside the realm of possibility anymore
  579. >You come back later with a damp towel, a thermometer, and some vitamins
  580. >You figured giving her a pill would be too risky, so vitamins were the next best thing
  581. "I'm going to check your tempreature now. Can you hold the thermometer under your tongue?"
  582. >She nods
  583. >You gently place the thermometer in her mouth and towel on her head
  584. >102. That's not good
  585. "I'm going to make you some soup. Does that sound good?"
  586. >She weakly smiles
  587. >"Yes. Thank you Anon."
  588. >You realize as you prepare the soup just how responsible you've become over the past few months
  589. >You bring the steaming bowl of goodness over to her and set it down
  590. "You might want to wait for that to cool. Anyway, I'm going to let you get your rest now."
  591. >You turn to walk away but Celestia calls you with a dry voice
  592. "Yes?"
  593. >"I love you, Anon..."
  594. >You smile warmly, comprehending true joy
  595. "I love you too, Tia.
  596. >Celestia got better soon and Winter begins to fade away
  597. >She was a little upset that the snowman the two of you built had to melt, but you promise to build one with her next year
  598. >And she was delighted to see the trees were growing their leaves back like you said they would
  599. >Celestia seems to enjoy Spring a lot considering it means she gets to play outside again
  600. >She does an assortment of cute things like chase butterflies, bring you flowers, and roll around in the grass
  601. >She's playing outside and you're making lunch for the two of you, when your clumsy ass self gets burned on the stove
  602. "Ow! Fuck!"
  603. >From behind you, you hear a voice
  604. "Anon, what's "'fuck'?"
  605. >You whirl around
  606. >Sure enough, Celestia is standing right at kitchen entrance
  607. >Shit
  608. "Uh...well, it's a bad word that you shouldn't say."
  609. >"But then why did you say it?"
  610. >You sigh. She has a point
  611. "I'm not perfect unfortuantly. But I sure can try."
  612. >"Oh...Why is it a bad word?"
  613. >You thought you had dodged a bullet
  614. >Nope.avi
  615. "Well...it's a not nice way of saying making babies."
  616. >"Oh, okay."
  617. >She smiles and sits at the table, seeming content with this answer
  618. >You set the table and the two of you begin eating lunch
  619. >You're in the middle of drinking some water when Celestia asks
  620. >"Anon, how are babies made?"
  621. >You turn your head out spit out the water onto the floor
  622. "Well...when two members of the opposite gender love each other very much, they can take a little bit of each other and make baby."
  623. >"So we could have a baby togther?"
  624. >You tought it would be safe to take another sip of water
  625. >You thought wrong
  626. >You choke on the water and cough violently
  627. "Well...not exactly. They would have to be the same age or at least close to it, and the same species."
  628. >"Oh..."
  629. >She sounds disappointed
  630. "Well, when you're old enough, maybe you can find another nice pony to start a family of your own with."
  631. >"But what if I don't?"
  632. >You pause and think about an answer
  633. "Well, I guess you could always adopt. The baby wouldn't be related to you though because it's someone else's."
  634. >"W-why would they give up their own baby?!"
  635. >You sigh. This is a tricky one
  636. "Sometimes they can't take care of it, and sometimes...they don't love it."
  637. >Celestia's face becomes downcast
  638. >"Am...am I adopted...?"
  639. "...Sort of?"
  640. >Her eyes start to water
  641. >"S-so, my mommy and daddy don't love me...?"
  642. >You jump out of your chair and hug her
  643. "No! Well...I don't know. Maybe they just couldn't take care of you."
  644. >She buries her face into your shoulder
  645. "I'll tell you what I DO know though. We may not be related, but that doesn't mean I love you any less. And I guess...if you want I could be your dad."
  646. >She looks up at you and smiles a bit
  647. >"I thought you were already."
  648. >Spring passes and soon it's Summer
  649. >It's early in the morning, and you shake Celestia gently
  650. "Rise and shine sleepyhead~"
  651. >She rolls around in the bed
  652. >"Ugh...it's too early..."
  653. >You nudge her a little more so she doesn't go back to sleep
  654. "But if we don't get up early, we'll be late!"
  655. >She sits up groggily
  656. >"Late? Late for what?"
  657. "You'll see."
  658. >Getting her ready and out the door was like putting a snail on a Nascar track
  659. >It takes some time, but soon you're both in your car and on the road
  660. >"Where are we going?"
  661. >You simply grin at her
  662. "It's a surprise."
  663. >You spend a couple hours on the road and make a few pit stops so Celestia can tinkle
  664. >"Are we there yet?"
  665. "No."
  666. >A few minutes later
  667. >"Are we there yet?"
  668. "No."
  669. >A few more minutes later
  670. >"Are we there yet?"
  671. "Tia, we won't be there for quite some time longer. Why don't we listen to some music?"
  672. >She nods and picks a disc at random, placing it in the CD reader
  673. >Your car is a little older, and as such doesn't have a music jack
  674. >The CD begins to play
  675. >It's Queen's Greatest Hits
  676. >Oh hell yes
  677. "Come one Tia, you know this one!"
  678. >The two of you proceed to sing Bohemian Rhapsody
  679.
  680. >The CD finishes and you arrive at your destination
  681. >You park the car and grab a bag from the trunk
  682. >"Where are we?"
  683. "Welcome...to the beach!"
  684. >In front of the two of you lies a great expanse of water and sand as far as the eye can see
  685. >Celestia's jaw goes slack and she just stares for a moment or two
  686. >"It's...it's like a giant bathtub!"
  687. >She looks at you, as if asking if it's okay to go play in it
  688. >You wave a hand
  689. "Go on!"
  690. >She blissfully runs into the sand
  691. "It's like warm snow! I LOVE the beach!"
  692. >You laugh and run after her. You specifically picked a day when you knew no one would be there
  693. >The less people panicking about a talking cartoon horse, the better
  694. "Hey, check this out!"
  695. >You open your bag and remove a bucket. Placing as much sand into the bucket as you can, you then turn it upside down
  696. >Celestia stares at the magic of sand
  697. "With enough skill, time and patience, you could even make a sand castle!"
  698. >She gingerly takes the bucket before exploding into a flurry of sand and work. You chuckle and lie down, soaking in the rays
  699. >A good portion of time has passed before Celestia calls you
  700. "Hey Anon!"
  701. >You sit up
  702. "Yeah? What is i-Oh. Oh wow."
  703. >Celestia has made a sand replica of Canterlot. It isn't life size of course, but the attention to detail is amazing
  704. >"Do you like it?"
  705. >You nod
  706. "I do. That's REALLY good. Way better than what I can do."
  707. >She blushes and folds her legs sheepishly
  708. >She turns her attention to the waves, forgetting all about the sand Canterlot
  709. "Well, come on then. The water won't bite."
  710. >You laugh and walk over with her
  711. >She stops right in front of the waves
  712. >"It moves on it's own..."
  713. >You want to explain to her that it's actually the moon that moves the waves, but you figure she wouldn't understand yet
  714. >She walks over to the wave as it receeds and "eep!"s as it rushes back suddenly, jumping away from it
  715. >You remove your socks and shoes and wade into the water
  716. "See? It's fine!"
  717. >"I-if you say so..."
  718. >She waddles in slowly and blinks
  719. >"I don't know how to swim."
  720. "Well, then I'll teach you!"
  721. >Your lessons went by rather difficultly. Swimming tactics for humans didn't exactly apply for small horses
  722. >At one point she gulped some salt water and got discouraged, but you were able to coach her into trying again
  723. >In the end, she swam much like a horse would, but with the advantage of her tiny wings to propel her along
  724. >You can't help but think she looks a little bit like a motor boat
  725. >You two playfully splash some water back and forth for a bit, then Celestia pipes up
  726. >"Anon, put me on your shoulders!"
  727. "Hm? Why?"
  728. >"I want to see the edge of the world!"
  729. >You laugh and put her on your shoulders. It isn't the edge of the world, but if she wants to think it is, that's fine
  730. >She stares at the horizon, breathing in the salty air
  731. >She exhales, completely relaxed
  732. >You hate to ruin the moment, but you both have to get back soon
  733. "Celestia..."
  734. >Before you can continue, Celestia nods
  735. >"I know. Time to go."
  736. >You walk over to the sand and set her down
  737. >"But can we come back sometime?"
  738. >You smile and nod at her
  739. "Of course we can."
  740. >Weeks pass
  741. >"Anon, it feels funny when I eat..."
  742. >You inspect Celestia's mouth, realizing her teeth are massivley crooked
  743. "It looks like you're going to need braces."
  744. >"What are those?"
  745. "It's something that gets put on your teeth to make them straight."
  746. >She pauses
  747. >"Will it hurt?"
  748. "A little bit, yeah."
  749. >She visibly grimaces and looks down at her hooves
  750. >"I don't want them..."
  751. "Tia, you're going to need them if you want to eat comfortably again."
  752. >"No! I don't want them!"
  753. >And so it begins. The first of the rebellion acts
  754. >She storms upstairs and locks herself in your bedroom
  755. >Part of you was hoping she'd forget to lock the door again, but no such luck
  756. "Tia, please open the door..."
  757. >No response
  758. >You sit down with your back to the door
  759. "You know, I had braces once. I hated it at the time, but I'm thankful that I went through it. Sometimes, hardships make us stronger."
  760. >You hear a click as the door unlocks
  761. >"I-I'm scared."
  762. >You hug her
  763. "I know, but I'll be here for you every step of the way."
  764. >She hugs you back
  765. >"Promise?"
  766. >You smile and stroke her mane
  767. "I promise."
  768. >She ends up going through with the braces ordeal, and how you go about it is genius
  769. >You brought her to a nearby dentist. Everyone in the office couldn't stop staring, but with a little cash, everyone agreed to keep their mouths shut
  770. >You even paid the dentist double to work on her teeth
  771. >You were going to have to make trips every few months or so to get them adjusted, so it was important to intergrate her sooner rather than later
  772. >The dentist stares at her, and Celestia stares back. You can't blame either of them. Talking horses was unusual. And Celestia...
  773. >This is her first experience with other humans besides you
  774. >"So miss...uh..."
  775. >"Celestia."
  776. >"Miss Celestia, you're here for some braces?"
  777. >She nods
  778. >"Alright. Can you follow me please?"
  779. >She looks at you nervously
  780. "Go on. It's fine."
  781. >She trots after him cautiously
  782. >Under his breath you hear him mumble something
  783. >"My patient is a flying unicorn. Now I can say I've seen it all..."
  784. >Celestia emerges about an hour later with a frown and walks over to you
  785. >"It feelth weird an' I thalk funny."
  786. >You stifle a giggle
  787. >"Don' lauth!"
  788. >You finish paying everyone, and sigh. You knew this was going to burn a hole in your wallet, but damn...
  789. >You take Celestia home and begin helping her adjust to this change in her life
  790. >Celestia has started to get used to her braces. She still doesn't like them, but at least she can function with them
  791. >Most of the trials and tribulations you went through when you had them don't happen to her however, maybe because of the different teeth
  792. >You're a little jealous of her reduced pain experience, but happy she doesn't have to go through the same shit you did
  793. >"Anon, where are we going?"
  794. "It's another surprise! You like surprises, don't you?"
  795. >"Only when they're nith oneth."
  796. "It's a nice surprise, I promise."
  797. >You drive a little farther before stopping and pulling over to the side of the road
  798. >"Why did we thtop here?"
  799. >You simply smile and step outside, taking a seat on the hood of your car
  800. "It's July 4th!"
  801. >She sits down next to you and and raises an eyebrow
  802. >"Tho?"
  803. "So..."
  804. >A screech in the sky goes off, followed by an explosion of vibrant color
  805. "That means we get to watch the fireworks!"
  806. >She jumps and hides behind you at first, but after a couple more go off she starts to come out
  807. >"They're...so pretty..."
  808. >You nod. It's pointless to say anything at this point because of how absorbed in the display she is
  809. >"Anon, look! That one's in the shape of a heart! Ooh, and that one's a smiley face!"
  810. "So it is!"
  811. >You look over at her. The colors reflect off of her face very gracefully. She really is adorable
  812. >Soon, the grand finale arrives and the fireworks cease
  813. >"Awwwww...over already?"
  814. >You gently ruffle her mane
  815. "Don't worry, the fireworks come every year. We'll see them again."
  816. >She nods and smiles
  817. >"Okay."
  818. >As you drive back home, she is lulled to sleep by the vibrations of the car
  819. >You first notice your roof has a leak when a droplet of water falls onto Celestia's head
  820. >"Anon, the roof is wet!"
  821. >Oh yeah, and Celestia can talk normally now
  822. "There must be leak. Wait here while I go fix it."
  823. >You leave the house and climb onto the roof
  824. >It's raining, so of course you're getting drenched while working on repairs, but better you then your home
  825. >With the loose shingle successfuly replaced, you start to make your way down
  826. >Then you slip
  827. >Shit
  828. >SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT!
  829. >You desperatly try to grasp onto something, but everything's too wet and slippery to hold on to
  830. >So you fall
  831. >CRUNCH
  832. >Oh no
  833. >Oh GOD no!
  834. >Pain flares up all through your leg. You glance it to see it's bending the wrong way
  835. "AAAAAAAAAAUUUGH!"
  836. >Celestia gallops outside with a worried expression on her face
  837. >"Anon what's wrong? I heard something..."
  838. >She goes quiet
  839. "Anon, your leg..."
  840. >No. No please, she doesn't need to see this
  841. >Her face gets serious. You thought she would panic, but she seems to be doing the opposite
  842. >With strength you didn't even know she had, she levitates you inside the house and places you on the couch
  843. >"Wait here."
  844. >She gallops off, and the pain consumes you, making you black out
  845. >You awake the next morning to the chirping of birds
  846. >Or rather, A bird
  847. >"Is he awake, Philomena?"
  848. >Celestia canters over to you with a tray of breakfast. It appears you slept through the night
  849. >You go to sit up but the pain in your leg causes you to wince, so you resign to lying down
  850. >You laugh weakly
  851. "When did you learn how to cook?"
  852. >She winks at you and sticks out her tongue
  853. >"I learned from watching you!"
  854. >You glance at your leg to see it wrapped in a cast
  855. >What the...
  856. "When did you...?"
  857. >"I taught myself how to read. And something in one of your books told me what to do if this happened."
  858. >You're suddenly glad you got rid of all of your clop shortly after Celestia arrived
  859. "That's pretty impressive."
  860. >She sets the tray down
  861. >"So until you're feeling better, Doctor Celestia is in!"
  862. >She grins proudly
  863. "I thought you said you wanted to be a princess?"
  864. >"Well, a princess has to be able to take care of her subjects, right?"
  865. >You nod
  866. >"And if I can't even take care of my favorite person, I wouldn't make a very good princess, now would I?"
  867. >She winks and then runs off
  868. >You love that filly so damn much
  869. >anon goes to sleep and tia is sleeping soft in her room
  870. >he wakes up the next day and shes gone
  871. >anon searches everywhere for her and cant find her.
  872. >panic
  873. >hours looking for tia spent into days
  874. >days into weeks
  875. >weeks into months
  876. >months into years
  877. >ect
  878. >anon spends all his life looking for tia
  879. >dies
  880. >wake up in equestria right outside celestias chambers
  881. >walk in and anon sees tia. Tia sees anon
  882. >Anon, filled with immense filled longing goes to hug her, she doesn't remember Anon.
  883. >she panics and calls the guards
  884. >anon gets hauled to the dungeons whaling and pleading for his "daughter" to remember him
  885. >month in the dungeons. She's got some princess shit to do yo.
  886. >Anon gets a visit from Tia.
  887. >[Insert shit hitting the fan here]
  888. >Tia sends Anon to the moon Cuz he didnt like bananas or summin i'unno
  889. >Picture of the crayon drawing Tia drew for anon is left on the place he once knelt.
  890. >she remembers
  891. >instant heart break
  892. >drama
  893. >1000 years later Anons Bones teleport back to where he was sent to the moon
  894. >You're driving home from work
  895. >Summer's almost over, and as such the days are getting shorter
  896. >You open the door and
  897. >Crayon
  898. >Crayon is all over your wall
  899. "CELESTIA!"
  900. >She runs over
  901. >"W-what is it, Anon?"
  902. "What is this?!"
  903. >You point angrily at the wall
  904. "I thought I gave you paper!"
  905. >She realizes she's in trouble and flattens her ears against her head
  906. >"I-I ran out of paper and thought y-you'd like a m...mural..."
  907. >The last part of the sentance just barely escapes her mouth
  908. >You want to yell at her some more, but stop yourself and look at her
  909. >She's obviouslly really sorry and didn't mean any harm by it
  910. >Besdies, you could always paint over it
  911. >Or...
  912. >You pick up one of the crayons and walk over to the wall
  913. >Celestia bites her lower lip as she watches you, then her eyes go wide as she sees what you're doing
  914. >You start to doodle on the wall
  915. >"A-Anon?!"
  916. "You said you were trying to make a mural, right?"
  917. >She nods cautiously
  918. >"Y-yes..."
  919. >You sigh and smile at her
  920. "Then let's make a mural."
  921. >She gallops over to you and hugs you, before picking up a crayon and joining you
  922. >In the end, it's an inanimate object
  923. >Relationships are important, and why ruin the one you have with Celestia?
  924. >Some might call it being a pushover, but you think maybe she learned more from your forgiveness then she would if you had punished her
  925. >It's now October 31st
  926. >You've decorated your house with spooky scary skeletons, cobwebs and other sorts of various decorations
  927. >Celestia doesn't like it one bit though
  928. >"It's too creepy..."
  929. >You don't respond
  930. >"A-Anon...?"
  931. >You spin around, wearing a monster mask
  932. "OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!"
  933. >She screams and slaps your leg
  934. >"That's not funny!"
  935. >You grin widely
  936. "Sure it is!"
  937. >She turns away and pouts
  938. >"I hate Halloween."
  939. >You raise an eyebrow and reach into a bowl next to you
  940. "Really? Even with the...FREE CANDY?!"
  941. >You have her attention
  942. >She briskly takes a piece of chocolate from your hand and munches on it
  943. >"Okay, maybe it's alright..."
  944. "Do you have your costume ready?"
  945. >She nods happily and places a tiara on her head
  946. >"Ta-daaaaa!"
  947. >2cute4u
  948. "Come on, we've gotta go to other people's houses before it gets too late."
  949. >She follows you outside
  950. >"Are you sure it's alright?"
  951. "Yeah. They'll probablly just think you're a cute halloween costume or something."
  952. >She puffs her cheeks like Kirby
  953. >"Very funny..."
  954. >The night goes by smoothly. Your plan works, and Celestia gets a boatload of candy
  955. >She even gets a hug from a little girl. That is a mental image you'll keep for the rest of your life
  956. >At the really scary houses, she'd cling to you for deal life
  957. >Soon, it's time to go back
  958. >You can't help but think about how in a few days, you'll have been living with Celestia for a full year
  959. >You're laying in your bed
  960. >Celestia, on the other hand/hoof is sitting by the window watching ths sunrise
  961. >She notices you wake up and smiles
  962. >"Oh! Good morning Anon!"
  963. >You smile back
  964. "Mornin'. Man, can you believe it's already been an entire year?"
  965. >She frowns, looking at the ground
  966. >"And we still don't know anything about where I come from..."
  967. >You remove the comforter and sit on the edge of the bed
  968. "Celestia...I haven't been completely honest with you. And I'm sorry, I really am."
  969. >She gives you her trademark look of confusion
  970. >"Huh...? What...what do you mean?"
  971. "I mean I know where you're from. I didn't want to tell you at first, because...well because I wanted you to stay with me. And that was selfish and wrong."
  972. >Her expression changes from confusion to hurt
  973. >"You...you lied to me?"
  974. "No! Well...yes. There's really no way of justifying it. What I did was wrong. But that bedtime story about Equestria is actually a real place in another world."
  975. >Man you feel like shit right about now
  976. "I don't know how you got here, or even how to get you back, so at the time I just took care of you."
  977. >She looks away in disgust
  978. >"So you didn't really care about me after all. Just the idea of me, is that right?"
  979. >This gets you pretty angry actually
  980. "No. No, everything I did for you, everything I said, I meant. I love you for you, and nothing else."
  981. >Her expression softens
  982. >"So...what do I do...?"
  983. >All you can do is shake your head in resignition
  984. "I don't know. I can spend the rest of my life with you, but you can't spend the rest of your life with me."
  985. >Her eyes go wide in fear
  986. >"Wh-wh...what do you mean?"
  987. >You sigh. Shit, this is hard
  988. "I mean, you'll live for thousands of years and me...maybe just 100 if I'm lucky. You can either leave before I'm old or watch me die, but there's no way around it..."
  989. >Here comes the kicker
  990. "I'll die before you will."
  991. >Celestia's eyes start to water, her completely forgetting that flash of anger beforehand
  992. >"What...? No! No, there must be some other way. You...you c-can't go before I do!"
  993. >You smile weakly
  994. "I'm sorry."
  995. >She jumps onto your bed and burries her face into your lap, bawling
  996. >"It's not fair! If you go..."
  997. >She can barely squeeze the words out, and you too have begun to cry
  998. >"If y-you go I'll b-b-be all alone again..."
  999. >You nudge her gently, forcing a smile as hard as you can
1000. "At least we can meet up in heaven, right?"
  1001. >"Th-that's too long to w-wait..."
1002. >You wipe your own eye, but there really is no way to soften this blow
  1003. "So that's your choice."
1004. >She's quiet for a really long time. You almost think she's fallen asleep. You're about to nudge her, when she finally speaks
1005. >"I'll stay. The hundred years I get with you will make up for the thousand without."
1006. >Now it's your turn to cry like a bitch
1007. >The tears just won't stop fucking flowing
  1008. >"Anon?"
1009. >Celestia sounds concerned, but you smile and hug her close
1010. "Don't worry Tia, these are tears of happiness."
  1011. >The doorbell rings
1012. >It's almost midnight, what the fuck
1013. >You groan and flop out of bed. You really have to do something about these midnight visitors
1014. >Celestia groggily opens her eyes
  1015. >"What...what's going on...?"
  1016. >You rub your eyes
1017. "I dunno. I'm gonna check it out."
1018. >She plops back into the bed
1019. >You flick on the hallway light and make your way downstairs
1020. >You start to think it's the government come to take Celestia away from you
1021. >Just in case it is, you grab a baseball bat by the door
1022. >No one was fucking taking that filly from you
1023. >You carefully open the door, your heart beating a million miles an hour
  1024. >And there's no one there
1025. >You freeze dead in your tracks. If this is what you think it is, then that means...
1026. >You look down on your porch
  1027. >No
  1028. >Fucking
  1029. >Way
1030. >Sure enough, a filly Luna stares up at you with big curious eyes and a bow is attatched to her mane
1031. >She smiles shyly and looks down
1032. >You just sit there staring at her for a moment
  1033. >And then you laugh
  1034. "Here we go again."
  1035. >And you couldn't possibly be happier
  1036.
1037. >The majestic white alicorn princess Celestia sits on her throne holding a piece of paper in her levitation field
1038. >Her younger sister, princess Luna sits next to her
  1039. >"Thinking about him again?"
1040. >Celestia sighs and weakly smiles
1041. >"How can I not? He showed me the world, taught me, raised me..."
  1042. >"Raised US."
  1043. >Celestia smiled
  1044. >"Yes, us."
1045. >Somepony knocks at the massive door to the throne room
1046. >Celestia quickly hides the piece of paper and calls to the door
  1047. >"Come in!"
1048. >A royal gaurd marches into the throne room
1049. >"You're majesty, your presence is needed in the courtyard."
1050. >She nods and looks to Luna
  1051. >"Coming, sister?"
1052. >Luna nods and trots out with her sister
1053. >Behind her throne sits a very old crayola drawing
  1054.
1055. "Well, took you long enough."
1056. >Celestia smiles warmly at you
1057. >"A princess must first tend to her kingdom."
1058. "Oh? And that leaves no time for her loved ones?"
1059. >You two grin and hug
  1060. >Luna clears her throat
  1061. "I didn't forget about you. C'mere you."
1062. >You give her a big hug too
1063. "Man, who knew that humans age slower in Equestria?"
1064. >"I certaintly didn't. Now come, our tea is getting cold."
1065. "Alright, I hear ya, I hear ya."
