- Legend Of Korra, /co/'s many legendary outlines
- Bolin and Mako are not pro-benders, they are on Tarrlok's anti-equalist force and are actually competent
- Korra meets Asami on her first day in republic city by crashing Naga into her bike; the cops think Asami is trying to help Korra get away and they both get hauled into the same cell and get to become friends by the time Tenzin shows up
- Korra never plays pro-bending
- Asami and Korra are attending the pro-bending championships when Amon attacks and runs off to get the task force instead of directly attacking him
- The two of them race to the task force HQ where only Bolin and Mako are around because they don't have their own place to stay
- By the time they get back to the arena it's been destroyed and Amon has disappeared after de-bending both teams
- The task force is in a rivalry with the cops and covers up crime by the bending triads, and Korra finds out that's what they were doing when Amon attacked the arena; Korra quits the task force over this and the brothers come with her
- Korra and Asami are the ones who go to the Equalist rally and Korra manages to fight them off single-handed, with only Amon giving her much trouble, but he skips out of the fight once he realizes who Korra is
- Korra takes her knowledge of the task force's complicity with Triad crimes to the police and Lin Beifong offers to make her an officer instead and teach her metalbending
- Asami doesn't realize her father is leading the revolution until episode 9
- Asami saves Korra and the bending brothers by hijacking one of the mecha-tanks after Hiroshi Sato seals them up in a platinum-plated interrogration chamber rigged with steam vents after Korra and Mako both pass out from exhaustion from using firebending and waterbending to try to keep the temperature down
- Jinora is 20 years old and actually a master airbender who helps train Korra so Tenzin can deal with council matters; Korra doesn't get along with her any better than Tenzin but Jinora isn't afraid to spar with her to work on her airbending skill
- Amon is the product of a Captain America program formulated but never started by Aang that incorporates spiritual meditation, chi-blocking, chakra manipulation, and energybending to create a force capable of protecting the world from tyranny in the time between Avatars, hijacked and implemented by fire nation separatists to seize control of the United Republic after Aang's death
- Amon is also an airbender, the first created outside Aang's line by the spirits themselves after years of meditation and training
- Amon can legitimately de-bend people in the same way Aang can, light show and all, leading Tenzin to tell Korra she must ask Aang for spiritual advice, and Korra manages to actually talk to Aang by episode 9
- Amon storms Air Temple Island to seize the scrolls Aang left behind there that teach the secrets of airbending lost to time by the fire nation genocide, and Korra airbends successfully for the first time to defend the island from Amon and his forces, joining with Jinora and Tenzin to create a massive hurricane that drives them from the island, but not before Amon's agents destroy the scrolls in error
- Aang tells Korra she must ask airbenders even older than him to fully understand the airbending secrets, and Korra goes to the spirit world to find the first airbender Avatar (not the actual first Avatar, who is an Earthbender mysteriously missing from the spirit world)
- When Korra comes back she reveals that secrets of airbending without restraint were sealed by pacifist air nomad monks thousands of years earlier to prevent them from being used to destroy the balance of the four nations by the most dangerous air nomad of all time, who was sealed and cursed from entering the afterlife 900 generations in the past
- Amon has overheard this information from a radio bug planted in the air temple during the brief time he was there and races off to find the lost airbender. Korra goes off to where he is rumored to be sealed in what is now the Si Wong desert, revealed to be the remnants of an ancient inland sea the evil airbender destroyed in his fury
- When Korra and Amon reach the resting place of the ancient airbender king they fight each other in a running battle to get to him first; Korra to make sure no one ever raises him again, Amon to unseal him and learn the ancient secrets with energybending
- In a massive fight that destroys the entire cave system, Korra defeats Amon, and in the end he reveals that he was only the first of his order; there will be others like him who come to this place seeking unimaginable power, and the Avatar can only live for so long
- Gravely worried, Korra attempts to use the Avatar state for the first time to destroy the complex with earthbending, sending it deep into the earth's crust and demolishing the tomb of the ancient airbender
- Korra returns to Republic City with mixed feelings, trepidation about Amon's threat, and begins asking Asami what technological advances could do to combat a threat only the Avatar can deal with, after the equalist revolution has been put down by the police in the absence of Amon; with Hiroshi Sato captured after Lin Beifong asked her own mother if it was possible to bend platinum.
- In the last moments of season 1, we witness as the ancient, evil, undead, airbender king, the seals on his sarcophagus broken by Korra's bending, awakens
- As for Mako and Bolin, after Tarrlok's task force was broken up by the city council for corruption they went to work for Asami to root out the last of the equalists in Future Industries and she's been dating Mako for the weeks Korra was away. Bolin has a short subplot where the Triple Threat Triad try to recruit him for a gang war against the Red Monsoons, a bloodbending gang that's been growing slowly for years. The Agni Kais, a firebender gang are already at war with them and the TTT wants to knock out both gangs at their weakest and take control of the entire underworld. Bolin goes along with it until he learns that the Agni Kais are a literal family of firebenders who are only trying to stop themselves from being wiped out, and turns against the TTT to help fight with them, which should provide lots of bending battles.
- When Korra comes back to Republic City she shares the ancient forbidden techniques the Last Airbender King used to destroy the ancient marshland culture of the earth kingdom with Tenzin and Jinora, and the three of them vow never to use them except in circumstances as grave as another world genocide; Tenzin laments that his people accepted being destroyed rather than using them and goes off to commune with and yell at his father's spirit, while Jinora goes off in secret to write all of it down. Korra tries to laugh off the potentially world-ending power she's inherited with the brothers and Asami, and that's when Team Avatar is formed.
