>Head cautiously pops out the royal kitchen, my mouth still encrusted with bits of cake and sweets

>Dangit, isn't mom supposed to be asleep this time of day?

>"Ascension, you're not raiding the kitchen again, are you?"

>Coast is clear, time to make like a batpony out of Tartarus!

>I run in the opposite direction I hear the voice, literally running up the wall and traversing along the ceiling when I find my dad looking for me too

>More guards! They're everywhere, dangit, where are we? The Royal Cast- Oh, right.

>Find an empty room to duck into at last

>"Ascension, have you been spoiling your dinner again?"

>My blood goes cold (possibly colder at least) I walked into my mom's room and she just got out of the bath

>"Uhh.."

>"She left quite a trail to follow"

>I jump when I hear mom's voice behind me and instead find Aunt Luna smirking

>"This isn't fair! You, dad, aunt Luna and Twilight make it impossible to get away with anything!"

>"Yep, I like these odds."

>I feel my dad's smile as he ruffles my main

>"Now get cleaned up and get ready for your lessons. We'll figure out a punishment later."
