>You are anon, an 18 year old senior at Canterlot High
>It's been 6 months since anything wacky happened at your school
>You've seen it all: a student turning into Satan, three weird transfer students trying to mind control the entire world, one of those Crystal Prep kids trying to tear your dimension apart, and some nature-loving hippie who could control plants
>You hoped you had seen the last of that crazy business
>Today was a saturday and you didn't have to worry about work or school today
>You usually do all your homework on sunday since you love to wait until the last minute
>You decide to go to Sugarcube Corner to visit your good friend Pinkie Pie, who usually gives you a discount for being such a regular there
>You pull into the parking lot and go inside
>You see your friend Pinkie at the counter who waves to you merrily
>P:"Hiya nonny! How are ya?"
>"I'm good Pinkie, it's just been a long week. Anything new?"
>P:"Naah not really, buuut there's this weird person in the corner who's been here all day and hasn't ordered anything."
>You turn around and see a hooded figure sitting alone at one of the tables.
>"Hmm, want me to talk to them?"
>P:"If you wouldn't mind, I'll even throw in a free cupcake if you do."
>"Thanks Ponko, you're the best."
>You head over to the table with the weird hooded figure and sit down across from them
>"Are you ok...dude?"
>?:"Go away, I just want to be left alone...please." you hear her say weakly
>"Nonsense, if something's bothering you, you can just tell me, I'm a good friend of the owner here."
>?:"F-for realzies?" she says with a bit more enthusiasm in her voice
>"Uhh yeah, for realzies."
>She pulls back her hoodie, revealing her long blue hair with dark blue highlights, all kept in a ponytail.
>"Hmm you look familiar...do I know you?"
>S:"Uhhh, maybe?" she says sheepishly
>"Wait a minute, you were one of those weird kids at the Battle of the Bands who tried to control everyone's minds!" you say with a hint of fear
>Sonata quickly shushes you and puts her hand over your mouth
>S:"Please, before you freak out, please hear me out!" she says desperately
>S:"I was pressured into the whole thing, if it were up to me I would've gone on my merry way without the whole trying to take over the world scheme."
>She begins to sob
>S:"And because of our recklessness we lost EVERYTHING that day...."
>Your thoughts, originally full of anger, begin to turn to pity as you realize that perhaps not everything was as it seemed with this girl
>"If it wasn't your fault, then whose was it?"
>S:"It was Adagio's idea, she told us it was the only way to get back to our homeworld, Equestria. I-I was so desperate, we've been trapped here for so long, barely surviving on whatever sustenance we could..."
>You began to sympathize with her a bit more, you knew the cold bite of hunger yourself, it can make even the most rational people turn to drastic measures
>You put a reassuring hand on her shoulder
>"Alright, calm down, I'll be back in one moment."
>Sonata only looks at you, tears still falling from her eyes, but nods to show she understands"
>You go back over to Pinkie to talk with her
>P:"So, what happened?"
>"Well she was upset about something but she seems to be a bit better now. Could I maybe get that free cupcake I was promised?"
>P: "Sure thing! Thanks for helping me out." she says with a smile as she hands you your cupcake
>"Thanks Pinkie, I'll go talk to her some more."
>You go back to over to the table where Sonata is sitting and sit down across from her
>"Here, you can have this." you say, offering her the cupcake
>She seems surprised at this gesture
>S:"But why? My sisters and I did so many terrible things! How could you be so forgiving?"
