Does noone else in this town read? >One of the books catch your attention: "On Magic by Different Animals." >You flick through the pages. It seems to be about the attempts of other species in the fields of magic. >What was interesting was that the book also covered the efforts of non-magical species. Some that even worked. >You delved deeper. Magic had always been on your mind since you stumbled your way here. Maybe you could find something... >A peculiar success by an offshoot of the Zebra clans intrigued you. >The method involved the use of ground inscriptions and magic circles that harnessed the magic energy that flowed through Equestria. >The book even included a sample inscription for a spell that could teleport one to wherever they wanted. >Hmm, well it looks safe enough. And you've still got time to kill. >You grab a piece of chalk and make the first inscription on the floor. >Luckily, they aren't too difficult to draw and soon you have the whole circle finished within minutes. >You were ready to step into the circle before the sound of a chortle interrupted your thought process. >"Pffhahaha. What are you DOING?"   >You hadn't noticed Spike giggling to himself as you were drawing the whole thing. >"Eh, I figure I might as well do something productive for once. Maybe learn a little magic." >"You? Magic? Ahahaha! Like that's going to work. You don't even have a horn!" >Slightly annoyed, you throw the book at Spike and explain how some species did it anyways. >He takes a look, then gives you a worried stare. >"...You're serious, aren't you." >You shrug and step into the circle. >Spike runs into the next room, as if out of panic. >"Well...if you blow up the Library, you're the one fixing it." >Little bastard. You sigh and activate the "spell". >Let's see where you want to go. Maybe just to the balconey upstairs? >You close your eyes and concentrate on the surroundings. The pink handrail, the telescope... >Suddenly a strange sensation overcomes you. >It feels like you're in freefall, and the weightlessness sends shivers down your spine >And all of it stops. You feel the ground again as you open your eyes. >Still a bit disorientated from the jump, you're not quite sure where you are as you examined your surroundings. >In the distance there were enormous skyscraper-like structures coated with a familiar tone of brown. >Each extended miles above you, and each floor contained rows of other giant rectangular structures of different colours. >The surface you're standing on seemed to go on for miles and miles, and appeared to be timber. >Okay, you're fairly certain this wasn't the balconey. You're not even sure if you were in Ponyville any more. >You started to wander about this plane. Surely there'd be something that could help you out. >As you walked further away from the skyscrapers, you find some sort of large marking on the ground. >Getting closer, you realise the mark looks awfully familiar. >Wait, wasn't this one of the symbols you wrote down just then? It's just a lot...larger >Looking to the side, you find another one of these markings. >They're in the same order as you drew them too...but that means- >"Anon! Hey, where are you?!"   >The loud bellowing noise came from above and behind you. >Turning around, your jaw dropped as you witnessed the largest baby dragon you've seen. >You could just barely see his face as you looked upwards, his purple body covering most of your vision. >His legs, once short and stout, were now the size of apartment blocks. >The floor trembles as he takes a step forward, covering a distance that would've taken you about 10 minutes. >"Damn. I knew should've told him he missed a page. Ugh, now I'll have to go find him." >You what? Oh crap. >He takes a second step towards you, this time the tremor was strong enough to knock you off your feet. >Shit, you have to get out of here! >You ran as fast as you could away from the towering figure. Time appeared to slow down as the adrenaline flowed through your body. >The gargantuan creature took another step forward. He was right behind you now. >The shockwaves it sent out tripped your sprint, sending you flying. >You land on the ground with a BANG,your bones aching from the heavy impact. >Damn it, the searing pain in your legs stops you from moving forwards. >A dark shadow looms over you. >You turn and watch as a purple claw the size of a house hovering above your miniscule form. >Bracing yourself for its fall, you shut your eyes out of instinct. Well, this was it...   >THOOOM >A strong gust of wind blew past you as the deafening roar of the landing rung in your ears. >Wait, how were you still hearing things? >You cautiously open your eyes. >What you saw was a valley of...purple. >Two great hills extruded outwards, each one cascading out and around you. >As you come to your senses, you suddenly become aware of what just transpired. You were lucky. Very lucky. >Barely missed by the dragon, you were now sitting between two of his pudgy digits. >
