UAT thing

Scene 1 - Day

 

Two students, Andrew and Player, walk up to each other on their way to their shared room.

Andrew: Hey Player, what's up man?

Player: Nothin' much, just ignoring some drama.

Andrew: Cool, cool.  You wanna go out with Lindsay and I tonight?

Player: Naw, got some assignments due.  Probably be up all night.

Andrew: Ahhh, damn.  We had something planned for ya.

Player: What, were you gonna kidnap me and take my kidney?

Andrew: Maybe.  Mainly we were gonna set you up with a certain someone you've had your eyes on for a while...

Player: Donna?  Hell no!

Andrew: Whaaaaaaat?  You can't keep your eyes off her!  You two were made for each other~.

Player: Nope. Nope nope nope, not happening, end of story.  

Andrew: Hmmm, perhaps if...

Player: No.  End of line.  Line ends here.

Andrew:  Fine, fine.  Lindsay'll be disappointed.

Player: Don't care, not happening.

 

*Andrew sighs and Player opens the door to the dorms with his keycard, and the camera shifts to a rear perspective while remaining in the first take.  Player turns to William as the door closes, and a new character, Eddie, comes down the nearby stairs.*

 

Player: Hey Edward!

Eddie: Don't call me that yo, you know I hate it!

Player: I'm just messin' with you bro.

 

*Eddie looks around for a moment, and after a several second pause, he leans forward and motions the two to come closer*

 

Eddie: Have any of you heard of the... "Hash Slinging Slasher"?

Andrew: Nope.

Player: Nah.

Eddie: Well I'm gonna tell you about him.  He comes out when the sun is down.  See, the Slasher was born from his father, the sun, and the moon, his mother. Basically they ended up not getting along very well and the Slasher took the moon's side.  I forget what happens here, I have it written down somewhere though.  He's afraid, no- Ashamed of his father seeing him.

Player: Why is he ashamed?

Eddie: I told you I forgot.  Anyway, he likes coming out in the summer the most.  He likes the heat.  But, he doesn't like people. He doesn't like to share the heat, so what he does is... He kills you and lies in the remains for a while until your body heat is gone and-

Andrew: Why are you telling us this?  It's not even scary.

Player:  Go away Ed, you forgot to take your pills.  It ain't real, and it's not scary.

Eddie: Or is it?

 

*The camera turns to where Eddie was, showing how he disappeared suddenly.*

 

Player:  Wait where'd he go?

Andrew: I... don't know....

Player: Whatever, I got a paper to write.  Later man.

 

*Player walks out of frame.  Andrew is shown standing by the stairs for a moment before the scene cuts*

Scene 2 - Day

 

*Player is seated at a desk in his room, working on a paper.  Andrew, laying on the bed, turns to look at Player, then goes back to reading his book.  He turns again, and asks Player a question.*

 

Andrew:  Has anything weird or creepy ever happened to you?  

Player:  What do you mean?

Andrew:  Like, ghosts, aliens, or Steve Buscemi or something.

Player:  Ed's story gettin' to ya?

Andrew:  No!

 

*Player goes back to typing on his laptop.*

 

Andrew:  Well, yes, but I know it's fake!  It was so hilariously bad, right?

Player: Sure Andrew.  

Andrew: Dude, I'm not afraid of some hash-slinging sla-

 

*There's a knock on the window right next to Andrew, and he jumps and exclaims "Holy shit!"*

 

Andrew:  Holy shit did you hear that?

Player:  Sorta.  Maybe it was the ~Haaaaash Sliiiinging Slaaaaasher~

Andrew:  Shut up, man!  

 

*A figure is shown walking by the window, unseen by neither Player nor Andrew*

 

Player:  I gotta get this shit done, man.  Just try not to think about the spooky skellingtons under the bed.

Andrew:  Fine, I'm goin' to sleep.

 

*Andrew nods off to sleep.  The next scenes are of the slasher doing slashery things, then Andrew is awoken violently and it is revealed that the prior scene was a dream.  He looks out the window, seeing that it is daytime.*

Scene 3 - Night

 

*Player is shown on his computer in the lobby of the Founder's hall, and Andrew, feeling tired and on-edge, walks over to him*

 

Andrew:  Still working on that paper?

Player:  Yeah.

 

*Andrew looks around for several seconds, then breaks the silence with the following question*

 

Andrew: You sure you didn't hear anything funny last night?

Player: I heard mothman shooting the shit with the chupacabra, but other than that, no.

Andrew: That ain't funny, man.  I didn't get any sleep last night.

 

*After a moment of silence, Player goes back to writing*

 

Andrew:  Whatever man, I'm goin' to sleep.

 

*Andrew slowly walks down the hall to his room, made uneasy by strange noises.  He proceeds down the hallway, and opens to door to his room.  As he opens it, he looks behind himself and a dark figure is seen through the doorway.  The camera cuts to Player on his computer, and his facial expressions show frustration.  He gets up to go to his room, and when he opens the door he sees the slasher just as he drives the hook through Andrew's skull.*
