- >Ever since you were a little girl, you've always liked magic.
- >Anything related to magic really.
- >Tricks.
- >Spells.
- >Illusions.
- >But most of all, the stories.
- >You love fairy tails.
- >Especially the ones with a knight in shining armor willing to help the damsel in distress.
- Okay, now watch closely!
- >I guess what i really mean by all of this is, i've always wanted to see real magic.
- Aaaand POOF! It's gone!
- >"Wooooow!" says the group of children you are currently entertaining.
- >You always liked seeing the look of amazement on people's faces, especially children.
- >Their amazement and wonder remind you of how you viewed magic at their age.
- Are you all ready for the big finale?
- >"Yeeeah!"
- Here we go!
- >You take out your wand.
- >You start saying some mumbo jumbo.
- >You give the wand a final flick.
- >Fireworks come out and shoot towards the sky.
- >"WOOOOOOOOOOW!"
- >You are Trixie, "the Great and Powerful".
- >This is your life.
- ----------------------
- >Day big finish at Equestria High.
- >It's just like any other day.
- >Sit on a bus.
- >Go to school.
- >Sit in class.
- >Go to lunch.
- >Go back to sitting in class.
- >Go back home.
- >This school seems to suck the life out of you, and ruin your days.
- >Your hobby, magic, just doesn't seem to be making your peers happy anymore.
- >you wish you could.
- >You are an entertainer first after all.
- >Seeing smiles is what makes your day.
- >It may not seem like it, but it's true.
- >"Oh look, we have a talent show coming up!" says some random kid.
- >Talent show?
- >You walk up to the info board.
- >There it is.
- >Equestria High talent show.
- >This Friday.
- >THIS FRIDAY?!
- >THATS IN 2 DAYS!
- >OH FUCK YOU NEED TO PREPARE.
- >WHAT ARE YOU EVEN GONNA DO?
- >YOU CAN'T JUST DO YOUR NORMAL SHTICK, EVERYONE'S SEEN IT!
- Oh maaaan...
- >The final bell rings and everyone starts to head home or get stuff from their lockers.
- >You just head to the auditorium and sit down.
- >You can see that it's being set up for the talent show.
- >You stand on the stage, looking at all the chairs.
- >You close your eyes.
- >You imagine all of the seats being filled.
- >You smile.
- Now witness the Great and Powerful Trixie!
- >You do all your motions.
- >At the end, you pose.
- *clap clap clap clap clap*
- >You open your eyes in a flurry.
- >Someone is sitting down in one of the front row seats.
- H-how long where you there?
- >The boy in the beanie stands up.
- >"You must have something great planned huh?" he asks.
- You... i... of coarse i do. I'm the Great and Powerful Trixie after all.
- >You act narcissistic like usual.
- >It seems to be your defence mechanism.
- >In all honesty, you STILL haven't thought of what to do for it.
- >"I can't wait to see it. I've been to every one of your exhibitions. I'm a big fan."
- >A fan?
- >I have a fan?
- >I didn't know small town magicians like me could have fans.
- What's your name?
- >His smile goes down a few pegs.
- >It finally dissipates.
- >"can you get off the stage, i need to set up the wires..." he says looking away.
- >That's very strange.
- S-sure... i will comply.
- >You start to step do-
- >"Here, let me help you, it's a doozy getting down."
- >He practically offers his hand to you.
- >Going back to acting nice?
- >This is a strange boy.
- >You make your way down.
- Thank you...
- >He stares at you.
- Ahem... boy...
- >he gets on the stage and goes to the back.
- >Why didn't he want to tell you his name?
- >Was he just embarrassed or something?
- >I guess that could be the reason.
- >You should probably be getting home now.
- >"Trixie..." he says.
- >You turn around.
- >"G-good luck. I mean it."
- >Wow, he really is a fan.
- The great and Powerful Trixie needs no luck... but she thanks you for trying to charm her.
- >You grab your stuff and head outside.
- >You see your mom.
- >You get in the car and set your bag near your feet.
- >"How was your day dear?"
- Worrisome. I found out that theres a talent show coming up.
- >"Oh well i'm sure you'll do grea-
- It's this friday.
- >You mom stops talking.
- Yeah. Like i said. Worrisome.
- >"Well i mean, you've had to go through worse right? Remember that one party i took you to?"
- Those people were just mean. How was i supposed to know that the woman had an irrational fear of birds.
- >"Ornithophobia dear."
- How do you even know that word?
- >"I had to know about it after what happened."
- Ugh...
- >"Well... do you think you can prepare in such a short amount of time?"
- >You think back to the face on that one boy's face back in in auditorium when you... did what you did.
- I... think i might be able to... but i need to be able to come up with something big.
- >"Well, how about you go through your fathers stuff?"
- YOU'LL LET ME?
- >"Heheheh, well... i think you're old enough now. I'm sure he would say so as well if he were still here." she says with a smile.
- >You look down and smile a bit.
- >Your dad used to be a really good magician.
- Thanks mom...
- >"You'll do great Trixie dear, just look through his books. You'll think of something."
- ------------------
- >Well, it's friday.
- >And it's your time to shine.
- >You found something great in your dad's old books.
- >Something that ought to wow the crowd.
- >welp, lets get going.
- >...
- >Your feet aren't moving.
- >OH GOD YOUR FEET AREN'T MOVING!
- >"Nervous?" asks that boy from the other day.
- Y-yeah...
- >"Well, don't be. You got something great planned right?"
- Yeah...
- >"Then go out there and show them what makes you the Great and Powerful Trixie." he says pushing you towards the stage with your props.
- >You are put in front of everyone.
- >The whole auditorium is packed.
- >Oh god why did he do that?
- >"Introducing Trixie the Great and Powerful! She will now wow you with her magic and illusions! Everyone give it up for TRIIIIXIIIIE!" yells the announcer.
- >The crowd starts to cheer.
- >Oh, that's why he did that.
- >You stare at the crowd.
- >The clapping and cheers stop.
- >Okay Trixie, let's go.
- BEHOLD, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!
- >You take out your wand in a puff of smoke and sparks.
- >The crowd claps a bit.
- >You roll your prop cart near you.
- FOR MY FIRST TRICK, I WILL REQUIRE TWO VOLUNTEERS.
- >People start raising their hands.
- >You're gonna need two skinny people for this one.
- >Oh, there's two.
- >And they're right next to each other.
- YOU TWO IN THE BACK WITH THE DUCK LIPS, COME ON UP!
- >The crowd starts to laugh.
- >Oh fuck, you just insulted two of your classmates.
- >My bad...
- >They come down to the stage, you help them up.
- I WILL NEED YOU BOTH TO HOLD HANDS.
- >They do so.
- >You cuff them.
- PLEASE SHOW THE CROWD THAT YOU ARE HANDCUFFED. PULL AGAINST IT TO SHOW THEM YOU ARE REALLY LOCKED TOGETHER.
- >They pull and start to freak out.
- DO NOT WORRY, FOR THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE CAN FIX THIS!
- >With slide of hand, and a button built into both cuffs, you make them disappear.
- >The crowd applause.
- >You help the girls back down.
- >Onto the next trick then.
- >You take out the vase full of flowers.
- THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE WILL NOW SHOW YOU HOW MUCH OF A GREEN THUMB SHE HAS.
- >You tap the vase twice.
- >More and more flowers pop up.
- >Basically you rigged the bottom of the vase to a holster underneath that shoots up more flowers.
- >The crowd starts to applaud even more.
- >You feel like this isn't so bad.
- >You put one trick after another, putting more and more smiles on the faces of the crowd.
- >This is great.
- >This is what you wanted.
- >This is-
- >"THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE EVERYBODY, GIVE HER A HAND!" says the announcer.
- >OH FUCK YOU WASTED YOUR TIME LIMIT.
- WAIT, BEFORE I LEAVE THE STAGE, I HAVE ONE LAST BIG TRICK.
- >You wait for the announcer to say it's cool.
- >"One last trick, and then on to the next talent!"
- >Thank you random announcer guy.
- >Time to really show the crowd how great and powerful you are.
- FOR MY LAST TRICK, I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ALL JUST ONE THING.
- >You step onto the prop cart.
- DON'T BLINK.
- *BOOM*
- >The only thing everyone can see is pyrotechnics, confetti, and monopoly money because you ran out of confetti.
- >You didn't disappear, all you did was put yourself inside the prop cart.
- >You hear them all cheer and "woooo".
- >You use the gears withing the cart to move it by itself to the curtains.
- >That ought to give them another wow.
- >You check through the peephole to make sure no one is there,
- >When you know it's clear, you get out of the cart and-
- >"Wow, that show was amazing." said the boy.
- >You look at him.
- >"W-what? Was it something i said?"
- Seriously, what's you name?
- >"I can't tell you my name, you'll think i'm an asshole. I'm actually glad you don't know me."
- >...
- You're that racist boy the school's always talking about aren't you?
- >"I'm NOT a racist!"
- So then it is you. Norman was it?
- >".... yeah... Norman..." he says looking away.
- >So this is why he didn't tell you.
- >He didn't want you to think one of your fan's was a shitty person.
- Thanks for pushing me onto the stage. I probably wouldn't have gone on if it weren't for you.
- >"I uh... your welcome..." he says scratching his head.
- >He looks a little flustered.
- >He must really be a big fan.
- >That's actually kind of cute.
- So tell me more about how you aren't a racist. I'd like to get to know the great and powerful fan of Trixie.
- >You want to know about the boy who actually got you through all of this.
