  1. The MC and his family move into a house, which the MC discovers is haunted by the ghost of a murder victim. The MC is an irritable but generally well-meaning boy, and the ghost is that of an elderly man, who is slow-tongued and sombre. The two engage in somewhat philosophical conversations after the initial fright on the MC's side wears off, mostly pertaining to the choices of being selfless/selfish and the concepts of life/death.

  3. As the show progresses, the ghost's life before his murder is shown, which reveals him as having been part of some sort of mafia-type group. After a fallout with the leader, he and his family were killed off to tie up loose ends. Only the man's ghost remained, which he is extremely bitter over. The MC's home life is also revealed more in-depth as the show progresses, which shows him to be in the center of a very dysfunctional family, featuring a self-loathing, abusive, and alcoholic father who is the CEO of a huge construction company, a psychologist mother with sociopathic tenancies, and a sterile older sister with extreme anxiety problems who often receives very unhelpful advice from her mother. The family members show a chilling lack of regard for the MC and his life, which makes the ghost hesitant to make his presence known to them. The MC generally seems indifferent and unaware to the dysfunction, but the trauma and melancholy often reveal themselves.

  5. The show would move in a slice of life manner, with tension building around choices the father makes in-office and the school year proceeding. Everything culminates in the ghost finding a form of inner peace (something he never developed) and departing to the afterlife, the father's business going bankrupt, the sister , and the MC getting on a bus and running away to some unknown destination to escape his woes.
