Part I==   >Hi. I'm Lily Pad, I'm a Crystal Jelly. >We Crystal Jellies are a luminescent group that live in the deep caverns that split through the Eastern Coral Fields. Most of my kind are a softer blue-green color, but I'm a bright green. I think it makes me unique. >I'm the librarian and archivist of our tribe. >I wish I had more friends but most people don't like me that much.. >They think I'm condescending. I don't mean to be, honest. I just like helping people learn new things. I want to help. >I suppose it doesn't help that I don't like to get out much. I love learning about nature..but I prefer books about it to actually being out in it. >Lately I've been thinking about visiting Filleia though, it's a decent swim away and I've never actually been there but this could be a new start for me. >Maybe I could make friends. >Oh! and they have a library too! It's not as big as ours, I don't mean to brag but us Crystal Jellies are preeeetty smart; It could still be fun though.   .. >Yeah, I think I'll do that. >An adventure, just a little one.   ~~~~~   ==Lily's Adventure. Part II==   >I've never actually ventured into the coral fields before. Most Crystal Jellies haven't. >The fields are dangerous and we have a self sustaining ecosystem within the caves in which our kind built our new homes after fleeing The Crystal Empire when Sombra's reign began. >There is little reason for us to leave really but even if there was.. >Their numbers are low but occasionally sunfish are spotted within the fields, as well as killer whales who are passing through. Both are a threat to our kind. The Eastern Coral Fields are an untamed wilderness.   Deep breathe. >I emerge from the safety of our city. >I can't see anything.. just the large pillars of coral and smaller sea creatures as they scurry around the sea floor. >I don't actually know how to get to Filleia; However, I do know that the guarded city of Rungcolt is just to the south. If I can make it there I know the Lobster Ponies can give me directions. >This is a far trek and I can't help but to let my mind wonder. >Will I get any weird looks?.. Most have probably never seen my kind, we keep to ourselves so much. >I hope they are nice. I know.. so little of the outside world.   ~~~~~   ==Lily's Adventure. Part III==   >I'm almost out of the fields. I can see Rungcolt through the reef now. >The trip has actually been surprisingly peaceful so far. I think I saw a sunfish at one point buuut it was probably nothing. >Wow. >I've seen pictures of Rungcolt in my books. This though.. this is breathtaking. It's practically a fortress and it appears to actually be not just on a sunken land mass but inside of it. The gates to enter sit at the bottom of the island embedded into its side. >And the Lobster Ponies guarding it? They are MASSIVE. They must be ancient. I can't wait to ask them questions about their history!   Some hours later.   >Ugh. I've gotten some many looks since arriving in Rungcolt; I knew this was probably going to happen but jeez. >The Lobster Ponies I've spoken too seem kind though, if a little intimidating. They don't seem very interested in..general knowledge.. >I get the feeling I've annoyed a few of them; Possibly more than I annoy my own kind back back.. I've stopped questions for the most part. I still want to talk with one of those old Lobster Ponies though! I bet they have some interesting stories to tell. >I got directions to Filleia, I was told that it's west and slightly to the north. I'll be heading out soon. >Just gotta see if they have a library around here first and maybe some grub!   ~~~~~   ==Lily's Adventure. Part IV==   >I've recently made my way into Filleia. >I met a somewhat strange Jellyfish mare as I entered town. "Oh my! You're a Crystal Jelly!" she proclaimed. >Waterblossom was her name. An energetic carefree mare. >She told me that she works as an ambassador. >Something is different about this one, she doesn't mind my long winded tangents of information. In fact she seems genuinely interested. "Do go on, Lily! I want to hear AAAALLLL about your culture." "I know so much about so many species but your kind are so mysterious. Is it true you were once surface dwellers in the waters of the Crystal Empire?"   .. >So that's it, huh. It didn't take long to get a read on her. She's a bit of a what the Crystal Jellies refer to as a kelphugger. >She loves just everything. The land, the life, she's seemingly void of negativity. >It's kind of cute.   ~~~~~   ==Lily's Adventure. Part V==   >I've been in Filleia for quite some time now. I've been spending a lot of time with Waterblossom lately. We've become such good friends, I've actually sort of forgotten why I originally came here. >It's strange being so similar to someone yet so different at the same time. Waterblossom is so intelligent but she isn't really interested in a lot of the things I am. Math, science, these things mostly bore her. She's unparalleled in her knowledge of the world and the life in it though. >and don't even get me started on how persuasive she is! That pony could talk you into anything; No wonder she's an ambassador! I trust her though, I don't think she'd ever abuse her power..she's too caring for that.   (A bit later on) "Then a killerwhale came out of nowhere. Jellyfish Ponies and even a few Lobster Ponies started fighting with it." "It was awful, I think we could have reasoned with the poor baby.." >Waterblossom has been filling me in on recent events. Seeing as word rarely reaches my home. >She's so loving that it's almost bad, she even thinks we could reason with the likes of killerwhales. >She's been talking about going on an adventure recently. I don't want to go on an adventure.. I really don't. She's so naive though, so trusting. I'm afraid she could get hurt on her own. *Sigh* >Well, lets get this adventure started and hopefully over with.
