>Twilight wakes up from a deep slumber that was aided by last night's deep fucking

>you've been up for hours since the whole letter debacle and you took it upon yourself to douche Twilight

>you're not in the mood for arguments now

>you're going to get one anyway

>she immediately sees the pile of slobbery naruto manga

>she starts flipping her shit

 

>Twi:"ANON!! How COULD YOU! Th-That was my FIRST manga that I..."

>she pauses for a bit

>Twi:"N-never mind."

It was the first manga you ever bought?

>Twi:"No. It's a secret okay?"

>she looks distant

>you sit down next to her in bed and you put your arm around her

You sure you can't tell me? I'm your super special boyfriend remember? I can keep a secret.

>Twi:"Weeeell. It's a pretty big secret that has to do with how I became obsessed with anime. You're sure you can keep it?"

Absolutely sure.

 

>Twi:"It all started a while ago, before you came to Equestria. My big brother was getting married to Princess Cadence and it seemed like she was evil. Turns out, she WAS evil and was just the changeling queen in disguise."

What's a changeling?

>Twi:"Exactly."

>her head hangs and she lets out a big sigh

>Twi:"Changelings were an evil race of fey. They... um... suck the love out of things."

Like vampires?

>Twi:"Kind of. They also had the ability to shapeshift into anyp0ny. That's how the changeling queen was able to trick my brother."

>you nod

>Twi:"After Cadence and Shining Armor foiled their plot to enslave Equestria, they were banished back to the wastelands. My brother and Cadence got married without any further snags and I sung an awesome song~♥"

>this sole memory seems to have overridden her gloomy ones for the moment

 

>eventually her smile fades and she continues her story

>Twi:"It was decided that, after the wedding, Shining Armor and Cadence should settle a new client kingdom. It was clear that conquest of the wastelands was the optimal choice since they practically declared war at the wedding."

I thought ponies didn't go to war. Hell, I didn't think anyp0ny was very violent except for Celestia and I was proven wrong on that front.

>Twi:"You may get that impression, Anon, but it's more complicated than in the movies. What started out as a conquest of the wastelands quickly became a..."

>Twilight bites her lip

>Twi:"Slaughter."

>tears are running freely down her face

>Twi:"And... and... and... my brother. He... he was right in the middle of it. The amount of *gulp* changelings he must have killed with my face... or Cadence's face... it must have been in the thousands!"

>she can't continue

 

 

>after minutes of just holding her and stoking her mane, you calm her down

>Twi:"He... *gulp* he couldn't take it any more. The dreams... he said the dreams wouldn't stop. And... six years ago he... tried to take his own life. He stabbed himself in the stomach."

>you and the rest of Equestria were told that he died of sudden illness

>Twilight starts breathing fast

>you know this sign

>you're already holding her, so you just pick her up and take her to the bathroom

>as you go to leave, she urges you to stay

>Twi:"N-NO! I can't be alone right now."

>after the mess was over you lead her back into the bedroom to finish her story

 

>Twi:"I tried to get there as fast as I could. I needed to help Cadence heal him, even though I'm not the best at healing spells. I got there just before he... passed. He wouldn't speak to anyp0ny. He just... gave up."

>once again she bursts into tears

>through intense sobs, she tries to finish her story

>Twi:"He... He was my big-brother-best-friend-forever!! How could he WANT to leave me?! Why??!!"

>she's too mournful to finish her story

>you fill in the blanks

>she probably turned to anime and manga to escape reality

>for a time, this quelled her tears but in the long term it left her empty and without friends

 

>in her hysterics, you move Twilight under the covers of the bed

>you ask her if it's alright if you go and get her something to eat

>she shakes her head and hooks your arm with her hoof

>you sit with her for a long time

 

 

 

 

>eventually, Luna shows up late to take you to the anime-con in her dark chariot

>you leave Twilight's side for a moment to tell Luna that Twilight's not ready to go

>Twilight doesn't mind your absence, since she's fast asleep

Luna, Twilight... she's not ready to go to anime-con today.

>Luna:"*sigh* what is it now? You've gotten me in hot water with my sister and now this? It's unacceptable! I'm a PRINCESS! I AM--"

SHH! Twilight's grieving over her brother.

>her eyes widen. Then her brow narrows in a glare.

>Luna:"She told you?"

>you consider lying

>you don't

Yeah. I... I won't tell anybody.

>Luna:"AnyP0NY."

Right.

>...

Do you think we could take Twilight somewhere else today?

 

>Twilight was still fast asleep when you and Luna loaded her on the chariot

>she woke up after you had made a short stop at the flower shop

>her first sight upon awakening was your windswept hair and daffodils

>she sat up quickly, surprised to be in a moving chariot

>her eyes darted around and she soon accessed the situation

>without a word she cuddled your arm and closed her eyes

 

>you kept your distance as Twilight sat in front of Shining Armor's grave with your daffodils

>no, they were her's now

>you could hear her softly weep, but it wasn't out of grief

>you could tell

>it was at this point you realized something

>this wasn't just some summer fling

>making love to Twilight meant something

>she wasn't like any other mare

>making love to Twilight Sparkle meant that you were bound to her

>for life

>and for some reason this doesn't alarm you

>it just makes you more calm
