  1. “I understand you don’t trust us, but do you have to watch us sleep?”
  2. >”If ya not planning anything, ya ain’t got nothin’ to worry about.”
  3. “At least let us get changed.”
  4. >”I don’t have ta leave for that.”
  5. “We are from a different reality, and it is considered rude to see us without clothes.”
  6. >”Fine. Five minutes.”
  7. >Applejack exits the barn, as Foxius lets out a whine.
  8. “What’s up?” You ask, as you quickly pull off your thick leather Armour.
  9. >”I can smell the chickens… I want to eat them…”
  10. “Listen, just wait out tonight, and we will leave in the morning, alright?” You assured him.
  11. >He nodded, as he slowly unbuckled his boots. You had already changed into some black night clothes you brought a few weeks ago, and got comfy on a bale of hay.
  12. >Applejack insisted she set you two up a bed, but Foxius liked to make a nest, and you love the smell of hay, so you both opted for bales of hay. You both had met Big Mac, and Foxius was worried that he might hurt you, so was sleeping under you.
  13. “I probably will step on you at some point.”
  14. >”I don’t care. Big Mac will probably rape you.” He replied.
  15. “Aren’t you going to wear those spare clothes I brought you?” You questioned.
  16. >”I am a Foxen. I am not wearing clothes to sleep, when it is perfectly safe. Are you going to shut up, and let me do my push ups?” He snarled, as he started to train.
  17. >He told you he was going to train until he could beat a Timber wolf on his own. Talk about hurt pride. The barn door creaked open a few minutes later, as Applejack came inside.
  18. >”Ah’ll leave you two ta sleep, but I want ya’ll to rest. Ya got a big day ahead of ya tomorrow.”
  19. >Foxius stands up, stretching and popping his joints. His fur was ruffled, and his muscles flexed. Applejack was only up to his waist, as he nodded to her. He clambered on top of his hay pile, and elicited a groan.
  20. >”Oh hay… the reason I have yet to kill Anon.”
  21. “Try it, you would be dead in one minute, tops.”
  22. >”Put your life where your mouth is, monkey.” He jeered back.
  23. “You have a lot of teeth for a cocky foxen.” You countered.
  24. >He laughed, as Applejack shook her head.
  25. >“Ah don’t wanna hear a peep from either of you, got it?”
  26. >”Mphhumph.”
  27. “That means yes.”
  28. ---
  29. >She left shortly after you got comfy. Hopefully the subtle display you put on will show her you are the alpha. That Big Mac brother of hers was cute, but seemed to be angry at Anon. That or he is just naturally intimidating. You stretched and huddled into your bale of hay, listening to Anon. You glance around the spacious barn, taking in the creaking boards, the hay littered floor and the rafters.
  30. “Bet you can’t jump from your haystack to the rafter, then leap to the other.”
  31. >”You heard what she said. No messing around.”
  32. “Double dare you.”
  33. >”You’re on!” He sat up, and slapped the hay excitedly. He quickly jumped to his feet, and leaped towards the rafter.
  34. >And promptly fell short, and landed in a pile of hay.
  35. “I told you that you couldn't.”
  36. >”Bet you cannot back flip from the top of that giant haystack, and land on your feet!” He grinned. Human’s always had weird facial expressions.
  37. >You grunt, and roll out of your bed. You quickly fall down a meter or so, and carry on rolling towards the centre of the barn. As you reach the mountain of hay, you stand up, and turn to Anon.
  38. “Quick, fetch me my mountain gear!”
  39. >Anon salutes, and chucks you a gardening fork and some rope, attached to a nail.
  40. “This is Foxius’s log, day 1. Attempting to start climbing.”
  41. >You chuck the rope’s nail in the air, and watch it land at the top of the hay, making a little ‘Pfft’ noise. You tug the rope twice.
  42. “It seems to be stable. Climbing is ago!”
  43. >You quickly leap up, and stab the hay pile with the fork, as you pull yourself up on the rope. Ten minutes later, you sat at the top of the hay, smiling like a cat with a dollop of cream.
  44. >”You do realize you could of got up there normally within two minutes?”
  45. “Shush, your ruining the moment. This is a huge achievement. Now to… what was I doing again?”
  46. >”A back flip, but you have to land on your feet.”
  47. >You quickly pull yourself up off the comfy hay, and turn around, crouching slightly. You elegantly release the energy as well as the power in your legs, leaping into the air, spinning gracefully.
  48. >That’s what you planned. Instead, you jumped backwards, and landed on your ass.
  49. >”Pfft, ha! Oh, smooth moves, Fox.”
  50. “One verses one now, bitch! I’ll wreck you!”
  51. >”Shut up and go to bed. I heard someone open the house’s door.”
  52. >You both leap in your beds, and pretend to be asleep. Anon’s hand droops down, tickling your nose. You nip his finger.
  53. >”Ouch, you bastard.”
  54. >A small coin lands on your nose, as the barn doors creaked open.
