  1. >Be Anon
  2. >Somehow find portal to Equestria
  3. >You go through
  4. >You arrive in Equestria, just off the outskirts of Ponyville
  5. >Finally, you dream has been realised
  6. >Your waifu is real, and the opportunity to meet her is right in front of you
  7. >Something seems off though
  8. >There are no ponies anywhere
  9. >Only wolves
  10.
  11. >Maybe the portal was broken slightly
  12. >Nevertheless, this isn't much of a negative
  13. >However, you do worry if you may be at risk of being eaten
  14. >Off in the distance, you see a flash of cyan and rainbow
  15. >You look again and see that it's coming towards you
  16. >Oh shit
  17.
  18. >You scramble up the nearest tree you could find
  19. "Don't eat me, I just got here!"
  20. >"Yeah, so?"
  21. >The way she replied gave off the hint that she wasn't actually going to kill and eat you at the first opportunity she gets
  22. >"You gonna do anything, or are you just going to stay up in that tree, like a coward?"
  23. >Yep, she's still a cunt
  24. "Perhaps you would like to stop guarding the tree like a bone and give me a chance to get down"
  25. >She doesn't look very happy at that response
  26. >"Fine"
  27. >She hops backwards a little
  28. "While I'm here, could you show me around?"
  29.
  30. >"Hey, you never told me your name"
  31. "Anon"
  32. >"I'm Rainbow Dash, if you wanted to know"
  33. >It's not like you needed her to tell you what her name was
  34. >"There's my house over there"
  35. >It's still made of cloud, but it's not in the air
  36. >After a few hours, the tour is over
  37. >You notice that the sun is going down
  38. >And you don't have anywhere to sleep for the night
  39. "H-Hey Rainbow,  I haven't got anywhere to sleep for the night, would you mind if I stay here until morning?"
  40. >She lets out a deep, heavy sigh
  41. >"Just one night."
  42. "Don't worry, I'll leave as soon as I can"
  43. >"You don't have to"
  44. >Well that was unexpected
  45. >The conversation just falls flat on its face here, and neither of you continue it
  46.
  47. "I guess it's a 1 bedroom house"
  48. >"Yup"
  49. "You got anything I could sleep on?"
  50. >"Well, there's a sofa in the living room"
  51. "Good enough for me"
  52. >Her house has a good interior, almost everything made of a white, fluffy cloud
  53. >It's well insulated too
  54. "So why did you run up to me earlier today?"
  55. >"Bored"
  56. >Typical Rainbow Dash
  57. >She lets out a yawn
  58. >"Maybe it's time we got some sleep"
  59. "Yeah, I suppose"
  60. >You yawn
  61. >Damn, that's contagious
  62. >"Well, goodnight Anon"
  63. >And with that, she was gone
  64.
  65. >You don't remember the last time you had to sleep on a sofa
  66. >You're having a hard time getting comfortable
  67. >In the other room, you're sure you can hear Rainbow Dash snoring
  68. >Eventually you find a position you can sleep in
  69. >You slowly drift from reality, recalling the events of the day
  70. >At some point, you fall unconscious
  71.
  72. >It's morning
  73. >Light is shining into your eyes
  74. >"Hey Anon, wake up!"
  75. >The first thing you see with open eyes is Rainbow Dash, staring at you as if you did something wrong
  76. "What time is it?"
  77. >"Too late for you to be sleeping, now get up!"
  78. "Fine, fine."
  79. >As soon as you're out, she jumps straight into the seat, giving you a smirk
  80. >"You're lucky I let you stay"
  81. "Fine, you keep that chair, I don't want it anyway"
  82. >She smiles victoriously and settles down into the chair
  83. "So what do you do during the day anyway?"
  84. >"I'm a hunter. Best of the pack."
  85. "Oh, really? I'd like to see a demonstration."
  86. >"If I see yours"
  87. >Game on
  88.
  89. >You meet in the same field you first arrived in
  90. >"Watch, and learn."
  91. >She puts her nose to the ground
  92. >It isn't long until she detects a scent
  93. >She starts heading towards where the source of the scent is
  94. >She immediately pounces into the grass
  95. >You hear it rustling for a few seconds
  96. >Eventually you see her, with a freshly caught hare in her mouth
  97. >She drops the prey on the floor and starts to eat
  98. >"Good thing I was hungry, eh?"
  99. >Soon after, she finishes her meal
  100. >"Your turn."
  101. >There's no way you could do this with your bare hands
  102. >You begin to scan the area for possible weapons
  103. >You manage to piece together a bow, and an arrow tipped with flint
  104. >There are a few rabbits off in the distance
  105. >Quietly you tread through the grass, getting closer to your target
  106. >You only have one arrow
  107. >Absolutely no room for mistakes
  108. >Carefully you aim at what would soon be your next meal
  109. >You pull back the string, and release
  110. >Direct hit
  111.
  112. >You go back to Rainbow Dash, who is waiting under a tree
  113. >You show her your catch
  114. >"Not bad"
  115. "I definitely think you're the better hunter"
  116. >Her tail starts wagging
  117. >"Of course I am! Why would my job be something I'm bad at?"
  118. "I guess you're right."
  119. >"You seem to be quite good at this too."
  120. "Although my race are terrible hunters without tools."
  121. >"Say, where did you come from, anyway?"
  122. "Somewhere really far away."
  123. >The conversation continues for a while
  124.
  125. >"Hey Anon, there's a full moon out tonight."
  126. "Oh, is there?"
  127. >"Every full moon, the whole town stays up through the night. It was an old tradition that originated hundreds of years ago. See, back then, we thought that the full moon brought about monsters that haunt our dreams, so we stayed awake during the night so we didn't have any nightmares. To try and keep the dream demons away, we howled at the moon. This tradition has stayed with us for these hundreds of years."
  128. "Fascinating, isn't it?"
  129. >"So you'll stay up and watch it?"
  130. "Totally"
  131. >She hands you a map with an X, and points to it
  132. >"This is our traditional spot we stay in"
  133. "I see."
  134.
  135. >Fast forward a few hours
  136. >The moon is out, not a single cloud in the sky
  137. >Everyone is out on the hill
  138. >You are with Rainbow Dash and the rest of the mane 6
  139. >It's almost midnight
  140. >You've been out here since the sun went down
  141. >One by one they start howling
  142. >The echo of howls around you is almost hypnotic
  143. >The one that stands out the most is Rainbow's
  144. >While a large amount of them stop, some continue through the night
  145. >"Cool, isn't it?"
  146. "I suppose."
  147. >"Will you be up here every full moon?"
  148. "Of course, it is tradition, isn't it?"
  149.
  150. >The sun is coming up
  151. >The wolves are starting to leave
  152. >You do too
  153. >Rainbow Dash follows
  154. >It's quiet now, and there's a cool breeze on your face
  155. >It gives you time to think
  156. >You've been in Equestria for a few days now, and you still have no money
  157. >Maybe it's time to get a job
  158. >You have experience with hunting, so that's already an option
  159. "Hey Rainbow, are there any spots open for hunters? I could do with at least some income"
  160. >"I think there might be"
  161. >Any chance is better than none at all
  162. >"Don't count on getting in though"
  163. >It's worth a try
  164. "Could you show me where it is?"
  165. >"Hmph, fine"
  166. >She looks like she wants to do other things
  167.
  168. >You are at the hunter's application building
  169. >Or rather, a simple tent
  170. >There are a few wolves queuing at a desk
  171. >Behind it is a large, grey wolf taking applicants
  172. >In front of you is a young looking brown wolf
  173. >"Name?"
  174. >"Timber."
  175. >"Any experience?"
  176. >"Worked as a prison guard; several times had to track escaped prisoners."
  177. >"Oh? I heard a dangerous pack broke out a few weeks ago, were you involved in that?"
  178. >So it turns out he isn't just an emotionless machine
  179. >"It took all night and cost more than half of our resources, but we got them back."
  180. >"We'll put you up for a trial tomorrow. Then we'll find out if you are as good as you say you are."
  181. >"I'll be there!"
  182. >"Next!"
  183.
  184. >It's your turn
  185. >"Oh, you're different"
  186. "Uh, thanks?"
  187. >"Name?"
  188. "Anon."
  189. >"Any experience?"
  190. "Err..."
  191. >His head slams into the desk
  192. >"Great, another clueless individual as if I don't get enough of these every day."
  193. >You take that as a sing to leave
  194. >As you turn around, you see Rainbow Dash
  195. >"Anon is an excellent hunter, especially given his lack of natural weapons. He is able to make good use out of almost anything lying around."
  196. >She's caught the wolf's interest
  197. >"Rainbow Dash, are you sure he is any good? Just look at him, how could he do our job?
  198. >"Trust me, he can"
  199. >"I'll put him on trial tomorrow, then we'll find out if he's any good."
