>Somehow find portal to Equestria

>You go through

>You arrive in Equestria, just off the outskirts of Ponyville

>Finally, you dream has been realised

>Your waifu is real, and the opportunity to meet her is right in front of you

>Something seems off though

>There are no ponies anywhere

>Only wolves

 

>Maybe the portal was broken slightly

>Nevertheless, this isn't much of a negative

>However, you do worry if you may be at risk of being eaten

>Off in the distance, you see a flash of cyan and rainbow

>You look again and see that it's coming towards you

>Oh shit

 

>You scramble up the nearest tree you could find

"Don't eat me, I just got here!"

>"Yeah, so?"

>The way she replied gave off the hint that she wasn't actually going to kill and eat you at the first opportunity she gets

>"You gonna do anything, or are you just going to stay up in that tree, like a coward?"

>Yep, she's still a cunt

"Perhaps you would like to stop guarding the tree like a bone and give me a chance to get down"

>She doesn't look very happy at that response

>"Fine"

>She hops backwards a little

"While I'm here, could you show me around?"

 

>"Hey, you never told me your name"

"Anon"

>"I'm Rainbow Dash, if you wanted to know"

>It's not like you needed her to tell you what her name was

>"There's my house over there"

>It's still made of cloud, but it's not in the air

>After a few hours, the tour is over

>You notice that the sun is going down

>And you don't have anywhere to sleep for the night

"H-Hey Rainbow,  I haven't got anywhere to sleep for the night, would you mind if I stay here until morning?"

>She lets out a deep, heavy sigh

>"Just one night."

"Don't worry, I'll leave as soon as I can"

>"You don't have to"

>Well that was unexpected

>The conversation just falls flat on its face here, and neither of you continue it

 

"I guess it's a 1 bedroom house"

>"Yup"

"You got anything I could sleep on?"

>"Well, there's a sofa in the living room"

"Good enough for me"

>Her house has a good interior, almost everything made of a white, fluffy cloud

>It's well insulated too

"So why did you run up to me earlier today?"

>"Bored"

>Typical Rainbow Dash

>She lets out a yawn

>"Maybe it's time we got some sleep"

"Yeah, I suppose"

>You yawn

>Damn, that's contagious

>"Well, goodnight Anon"

>And with that, she was gone

 

>You don't remember the last time you had to sleep on a sofa

>You're having a hard time getting comfortable

>In the other room, you're sure you can hear Rainbow Dash snoring

>Eventually you find a position you can sleep in

>You slowly drift from reality, recalling the events of the day

>At some point, you fall unconscious

 

>It's morning

>Light is shining into your eyes

>"Hey Anon, wake up!"

>The first thing you see with open eyes is Rainbow Dash, staring at you as if you did something wrong

"What time is it?"

>"Too late for you to be sleeping, now get up!"

"Fine, fine."

>As soon as you're out, she jumps straight into the seat, giving you a smirk

>"You're lucky I let you stay"

"Fine, you keep that chair, I don't want it anyway"

>She smiles victoriously and settles down into the chair

"So what do you do during the day anyway?"

>"I'm a hunter. Best of the pack."

"Oh, really? I'd like to see a demonstration."

>"If I see yours"

>Game on

 

>You meet in the same field you first arrived in

>"Watch, and learn."

>She puts her nose to the ground

>It isn't long until she detects a scent

>She starts heading towards where the source of the scent is

>She immediately pounces into the grass

>You hear it rustling for a few seconds

>Eventually you see her, with a freshly caught hare in her mouth

>She drops the prey on the floor and starts to eat

>"Good thing I was hungry, eh?"

>Soon after, she finishes her meal

>"Your turn."

>There's no way you could do this with your bare hands

>You begin to scan the area for possible weapons

>You manage to piece together a bow, and an arrow tipped with flint

>There are a few rabbits off in the distance

>Quietly you tread through the grass, getting closer to your target

>You only have one arrow

>Absolutely no room for mistakes

>Carefully you aim at what would soon be your next meal

>You pull back the string, and release

>Direct hit

 

>You go back to Rainbow Dash, who is waiting under a tree

>You show her your catch

>"Not bad"

"I definitely think you're the better hunter"

>Her tail starts wagging

>"Of course I am! Why would my job be something I'm bad at?"

"I guess you're right."

>"You seem to be quite good at this too."

"Although my race are terrible hunters without tools."

>"Say, where did you come from, anyway?"

"Somewhere really far away."

>The conversation continues for a while

 

>"Hey Anon, there's a full moon out tonight."

"Oh, is there?"

>"Every full moon, the whole town stays up through the night. It was an old tradition that originated hundreds of years ago. See, back then, we thought that the full moon brought about monsters that haunt our dreams, so we stayed awake during the night so we didn't have any nightmares. To try and keep the dream demons away, we howled at the moon. This tradition has stayed with us for these hundreds of years."

"Fascinating, isn't it?"

>"So you'll stay up and watch it?"

"Totally"

>She hands you a map with an X, and points to it

>"This is our traditional spot we stay in"

"I see."

 

>Fast forward a few hours

>The moon is out, not a single cloud in the sky

>Everyone is out on the hill

>You are with Rainbow Dash and the rest of the mane 6

>It's almost midnight

>You've been out here since the sun went down

>One by one they start howling

>The echo of howls around you is almost hypnotic

>The one that stands out the most is Rainbow's

>While a large amount of them stop, some continue through the night

>"Cool, isn't it?"

"I suppose."

>"Will you be up here every full moon?"

"Of course, it is tradition, isn't it?"

 

>The sun is coming up

>The wolves are starting to leave

>You do too

>Rainbow Dash follows

>It's quiet now, and there's a cool breeze on your face

>It gives you time to think

>You've been in Equestria for a few days now, and you still have no money

>Maybe it's time to get a job

>You have experience with hunting, so that's already an option

"Hey Rainbow, are there any spots open for hunters? I could do with at least some income"

>"I think there might be"

>Any chance is better than none at all

>"Don't count on getting in though"

>It's worth a try

"Could you show me where it is?"

>"Hmph, fine"

>She looks like she wants to do other things

 

>You are at the hunter's application building

>Or rather, a simple tent

>There are a few wolves queuing at a desk

>Behind it is a large, grey wolf taking applicants

>In front of you is a young looking brown wolf

>"Name?"

>"Timber."

>"Any experience?"

>"Worked as a prison guard; several times had to track escaped prisoners."

>"Oh? I heard a dangerous pack broke out a few weeks ago, were you involved in that?"

>So it turns out he isn't just an emotionless machine

>"It took all night and cost more than half of our resources, but we got them back."

>"We'll put you up for a trial tomorrow. Then we'll find out if you are as good as you say you are."

>"I'll be there!"

>"Next!"

 

>It's your turn

>"Oh, you're different"

"Uh, thanks?"

>"Name?"

"Anon."

>"Any experience?"

"Err..."

>His head slams into the desk

>"Great, another clueless individual as if I don't get enough of these every day."

>You take that as a sing to leave

>As you turn around, you see Rainbow Dash

>"Anon is an excellent hunter, especially given his lack of natural weapons. He is able to make good use out of almost anything lying around."

>She's caught the wolf's interest

>"Rainbow Dash, are you sure he is any good? Just look at him, how could he do our job?

>"Trust me, he can"

>"I'll put him on trial tomorrow, then we'll find out if he's any good."
