  1. >The TV you set up in the royal lounge sat turned on.
  2. >"Oh, I always did enjoy a good film."
  3. >Celestia sat in the chair to your left.
  4. >Luna shifted on the couch.
  5. >"I've not watched many films. Tell me, what are we watching tonight?"
  6. >You picked out a dusty VHS tape from the nearby plastic crate.
  7. "Nightmare on Elm Street."
  8. >"Sounds...frightening."
  9. >Celestia's voice was unsure.
  10. >You put the tape into the TV's built-in VHS and hit "play".
  11. >You stood up and walked over to the other open chair.
  12. >You made sure to get a good look at Luna, who looked alluring lying on that couch.
  13. >Sitting down, you watched the TV screen as the movie started.
  14. >The opening credits rolled, and before you knew it, you were at the first dream sequence.
  15. >Celestia had been jumping at every scare thrown at the three of you since the movie started.
  16. >Luna only yawned.
  17. >"It seems you've forgotten who I am, Anonymous. Did you really think this would frighten me?"
  18. "Nah, but your sister's shaking pretty bad."
  19. >Celestia was on the edge of her seat, eyes wide and biting her lower lip.
  20. >You got to the part where Freddy makes his first kill.
  21. >Luna sat up.
  22. >"That's not how dreaming works! If the dreamer dies, they wake up!"
  23. >She grumbled to herself at the movie's "inaccuracy".
  24. >Throughout the movie, Luna would continue to shout at the movie for depicting dreams in the wrong way.
  25. >Celestia wanted to look away from the screen, but couldn't.
  26. >You had zoned Luna out to watch, but you picked up traces of what she said now and then.
  27. >"...and you cannot do that within a dream anyways!"
  28. >"...that would instantly awaken the sleeper!"
  29. >"This is unacceptable! You can't enter the dream...-"
  30. >Basically, she sounded like the bitchiest critic you could imagine.
  31. >You reached the ending, witnessing the inevitable twist ending.
  32. >Celestia, not expecting it, jumped up and actually let out a small yelp.
  33. >Luna groaned.
  34. >"As if a dreamwalker could manipulate the real world."
  35. >The end credits rolled.
  36. >You got up to shut off the movie and rewind it.
  37. >"That film got everything about dreams completely incorrect! I feel insulted to have watched it!"
  38. >Celestia shivered in her seat.
  39. >"Y-yes. I-it's all incorrect..."
  40. >You grinned.
  41. "One, two, Freddy's coming for you."
  42. >You stomped towards Celestia.
  43. >"A-a-anonymous, please stop."
  44. "Three, four, better lock your door."
  45. >"Oh please sister. As if you were actually afraid of the film."
  46. >Celestia looked at Luna with wide eyes.
  47. >"M-me? Afraid? What makes you s-say that?"
  48. "Five, six, grab your crucifix."
  49. >You inched closer to the sun princess.
  50. "Seven, eight, gonna stay up late."
  51. >"Anonymous-"
  52. >You shut off the TV, which was the only source of light.
  53. >You quickly hid behind Celestia for the grand finale.
  54. >Her horn quickly lit up, producing a yellow glow.
  55. >"Anonymous?"
  56. >You get close and whisper into her ear.
  57. "Nine, ten, YOU'LL NEVER SLEEP AGAIN!"
  58. >You grab her back, which causes her wings to flare as she flings you into the side of the room.
  59. >"Don't do that, Anonymous! You almost gave me a heart attack!"
  60. >Not that she wouldn't live through it.
  61. >Luna scoffed.
  62. >"Really, Anonymous? That was your giant scare tactic?"
  63. >You get up, laughing.
  64. "It worked, didn't it?"
  65. >The moon horse opens the door to the room.
  66. >"If that will be all, I will begin my duties now."
  67. >Before she can leave the room, she is stopped by her sister.
  68. >"Luna, y-you wouldn't mind watching over my dreams, would you?"
  69. >In response, the blue alicorn pulled the white one into a hug.
  70. >"Of course not, sister. I shall keep a close eye on your dreams."
  71. >The two break the hug, and exit.
  72. >You follow, feeling pride that you had successfully scared at least one of the princesses.
  73. >Besides, you knew Luna was afraid of clowns anyways.
  74. >You'd get her tomorrow.
