- >The TV you set up in the royal lounge sat turned on.
- >"Oh, I always did enjoy a good film."
- >Celestia sat in the chair to your left.
- >Luna shifted on the couch.
- >"I've not watched many films. Tell me, what are we watching tonight?"
- >You picked out a dusty VHS tape from the nearby plastic crate.
- "Nightmare on Elm Street."
- >"Sounds...frightening."
- >Celestia's voice was unsure.
- >You put the tape into the TV's built-in VHS and hit "play".
- >You stood up and walked over to the other open chair.
- >You made sure to get a good look at Luna, who looked alluring lying on that couch.
- >Sitting down, you watched the TV screen as the movie started.
- >The opening credits rolled, and before you knew it, you were at the first dream sequence.
- >Celestia had been jumping at every scare thrown at the three of you since the movie started.
- >Luna only yawned.
- >"It seems you've forgotten who I am, Anonymous. Did you really think this would frighten me?"
- "Nah, but your sister's shaking pretty bad."
- >Celestia was on the edge of her seat, eyes wide and biting her lower lip.
- >You got to the part where Freddy makes his first kill.
- >Luna sat up.
- >"That's not how dreaming works! If the dreamer dies, they wake up!"
- >She grumbled to herself at the movie's "inaccuracy".
- >Throughout the movie, Luna would continue to shout at the movie for depicting dreams in the wrong way.
- >Celestia wanted to look away from the screen, but couldn't.
- >You had zoned Luna out to watch, but you picked up traces of what she said now and then.
- >"...and you cannot do that within a dream anyways!"
- >"...that would instantly awaken the sleeper!"
- >"This is unacceptable! You can't enter the dream...-"
- >Basically, she sounded like the bitchiest critic you could imagine.
- >You reached the ending, witnessing the inevitable twist ending.
- >Celestia, not expecting it, jumped up and actually let out a small yelp.
- >Luna groaned.
- >"As if a dreamwalker could manipulate the real world."
- >The end credits rolled.
- >You got up to shut off the movie and rewind it.
- >"That film got everything about dreams completely incorrect! I feel insulted to have watched it!"
- >Celestia shivered in her seat.
- >"Y-yes. I-it's all incorrect..."
- >You grinned.
- "One, two, Freddy's coming for you."
- >You stomped towards Celestia.
- >"A-a-anonymous, please stop."
- "Three, four, better lock your door."
- >"Oh please sister. As if you were actually afraid of the film."
- >Celestia looked at Luna with wide eyes.
- >"M-me? Afraid? What makes you s-say that?"
- "Five, six, grab your crucifix."
- >You inched closer to the sun princess.
- "Seven, eight, gonna stay up late."
- >"Anonymous-"
- >You shut off the TV, which was the only source of light.
- >You quickly hid behind Celestia for the grand finale.
- >Her horn quickly lit up, producing a yellow glow.
- >"Anonymous?"
- >You get close and whisper into her ear.
- "Nine, ten, YOU'LL NEVER SLEEP AGAIN!"
- >You grab her back, which causes her wings to flare as she flings you into the side of the room.
- >"Don't do that, Anonymous! You almost gave me a heart attack!"
- >Not that she wouldn't live through it.
- >Luna scoffed.
- >"Really, Anonymous? That was your giant scare tactic?"
- >You get up, laughing.
- "It worked, didn't it?"
- >The moon horse opens the door to the room.
- >"If that will be all, I will begin my duties now."
- >Before she can leave the room, she is stopped by her sister.
- >"Luna, y-you wouldn't mind watching over my dreams, would you?"
- >In response, the blue alicorn pulled the white one into a hug.
- >"Of course not, sister. I shall keep a close eye on your dreams."
- >The two break the hug, and exit.
- >You follow, feeling pride that you had successfully scared at least one of the princesses.
- >Besides, you knew Luna was afraid of clowns anyways.
- >You'd get her tomorrow.
