They frequently chatted together during break times and it didn't even take that long for the two to get warmed up to eachother. And after a bit of emotional spaghetti and a slow date they got together, eventually married.     although they lived there briefly after the whole deal, when they soon moved to Reinerd when Blueshift was born. Still in Whinnysota, his parents worked simple jobs and ran simple lives for the most part, father grew to become a skilled woodworker in carpentry for the most part, building fine wares, decorations and furniture, refining planks and sometimes  helping build houses, while the mother was a merchant, ran a shop close upfront of the father's workshop to sell his wares for a hefty profit to companies or ponies moving into new homes... Or simply looking for a fancy couch or rocking chair.   Blueshift frequently lingered around the shop all the time or in the workshop enjoying his wooden figurines and plushies, the advantages of living with such a couple is that you never ran out of new toys and new spinning tops! So much fun playing with that dragon figurine... Often bringing in other friends, colts and fillies to have pretend battles or play catch and hide and seek around the shop despite sometimes being told not to because they caused a mess of the flowers outside.   The colt grew a bit spoiled by the parent thanks to that, but not too much, and he soon took interesting in the father's craft especially, and he quickly began carve his own toys or helped the father with small things making small compartments or components for chairs alongside him, learning his parent's craft and more as time passed, he's still there to this day, helping his mother run deliveries and father in the workshop occasionally, as he works full time for the local construction company as a mason and carpenter.
