- The Crossed: Day 2
- Avatar: Twilight Sparkle
- Item(s):
- Members in your group: Spike
- >you rummage through your library, looking for that book you thought that might have the answers about the apocalypse and the beginning of the end
- >Spike helps you out too
- >adrenaline, generated from fear, boosts his speed on finding it
- >you look at him, nodding his head up and down like a pulley whose lever's always used, scanning through the library
- "Spike, come down. You're too quick."
- >he looks at you, frustrated
- "Twilight, why slow down? Those things can barge in anytime now and you have the decency to tell me slow down?"
- >he's right, why slow down when every second is against you, maybe even kill you
- >you frown, seeing Spike being angry and yet scared
- >you look down, reflect on what he said and stare at the ground
- >you start to lose hope
- >maybe there wasn't any hope to begin with, maybe there's no hope in doing so....
- >The princesses may not save you, your friends dying, screaming for help
- >imagining the horrifying scene that happened a few minutes ago
- >you're scared that it will happen to you sooner or later
- >worse, seeing Spike getting the same, shared, imminent fate that you will have soon
- >you close your eyes, getting teary from hopelessness
- >you don't want Spike to see you crying, it'll break his heart to do so
- >it'll worry him
- >Spike wraps his arm around you, snuggles you and wipe the tears of sadness off of your face
- "We will get through." He said as if he guarantees it.
- >you smile with glee and hug him back
- >the scene of happiness fades away as you hear something from the door
- THUD
- >they're trying to barge into your library rhythmically
- THUD
- >Spike grabs a bucket and uses it as a helmet, waiting for the attack
- >you never expect this baby dragon to grow up so fast
- THUD
- >you never expected him to protect you
- >it was suppose to be the other way around, vice versa
- THUD
- >you walk in front of him, magic ready for your defense as they could break in any moment
- >the door crack open and the bookshelf fell as they entered
- >they flew in the library like darts
- >you can barely get a glimpse of them as they're too fast for your eyesight to catch them
- >you crouch by gag reflex and barely miss one of them
- >spike follows suit
- >you look back sharply and see the ponies
- >their bodies slam onto the walls of your shelves, painting it red with their blood, damaging the books as they fall down onto the ground like bugs squashed on your car window pane
- >you got on your hooves and stand there, frozen as you wait for them to come back up
- >but they don't
- >curiosity got the better of you as you approach them
- >no heads with them, a clean, fresh cut off
- >some pony has killed them before they got thrown in
- >something worse than these two ponies?
- "Twilight? Who's that?"
- >Spike squeak the words out
- >you look at your corridor, shoot a flare at it
- >you see a pony standing there, despicably holding a chainsaw, dripping blood
- >you see her skin, pink.
- "Hey! How's your night party, scaredy-pants?"
- >it's Pinkie Pie.
- >you are glad to see her but there is something odd about her
- >mane's as slick and slim as silk, bloodshot eyes and a blood-cross on her face...
- >a cross on her face
- "Are... Are you one of... Them?"
- >she walk towards you, dropping her equipment: Her chainsaw, flamethrower hybrid and Gummy
- >you still step back, scared and you trip on the dead bodies of the carcasses
- >she lends a hoof to help you up
- "Nah, it's just a espionage tactic. You know, looking like the enemy and stuff." She smiles cheerfully
- >you heed her advice and pull yourself up
- >you have so many questions in your mind right now
- >why is everypony killing each other?
- >why didn't Celestia responding to your letter yet?
- >why is Pinkie eating a Heart?
- >wait a second...
- "PINKIE! Why are you ea-"
- >she stops from taking a bite and interrupts you
- "It's just a little snack and all that."
- >she smiles twistedly as she continues eating her 'snack'
- >you feel sick in your stomach, watching her eat that
- >she stares at you, like as if staring through you
- >you froze in fear, wishing you won't be her next snack
- >then you got the idea of where she was looking at as a red, sinister light shone behind you with glistening lightings
- >you look behind, trembling as you're ready for the worse
- >but it's just false fear as it was a book shining, not the dead bodies
- >you gave a sigh of relief and grab the book you have been anxiously searching for
- >Spike and Pinkie bump next to you, trying to get a sight of this mysterious book
- >it reads:
- "THE NECROMICON"
- >you opened the book, astonished to find words beyond your reading skills
- >the pages were made of weak, yellowish-orange leafy paper, slightly crumbling only by touch
- >the words on the book looks like scribblings or even drawings
- "This is gibberish..." Spike whispered to himself
- >you gave Spike a stern look before analyzing the pages even further
- "What does this mean?"
- "Maybe pass it to Zecora. Maybe she knows..."
- >Pinkie said softly before grabbing her chainsaw and defend your door flank for any incoming attackers or pursuers
- >maybe Pinkie is right
- >you tell Spike to grab everything necessary he could carry and follow you everywhere
- >before you step outside, Pinkie stops you for a moment
- "There's too many ponies between here and Zecora's. Any plan?"
- >you thought for awhile, imagining the layout of PonyVille
- "We're going to AppleJack's as a checkpoint in between."
