-Daily Paper was but a mild mannered billionaire playboy, news reporter and pizza delivery man with no parents, until a freak accident one day when walking home from his multiple jobs.
-A tanker truck carrying deadly radioactive waste overturned after making too sharp a turn on a Manehatten intersection, resulting in Daily being completely covered in toxic green slime. He felt great power flowing through his veins!
-Being diagnosed with cancer and multiple tumors, he was picked up by the government, who proceeded to run a series of dangerous and highly illegal tests, designed to give him the strength, speed, and durability of a tumor.
-But then, a group of highly advanced griffon wizards pretending to be highly advanced alien wizards broke into the laboratory and stole away their captive into their airship-spaceship in the night.
-Striving to escape back to his multiple jobs and love-interests, Daily punched his way through the airlock into the vacuum of space, where he was exposed to dangerous high-energy radiation!
-Upon re-entering the atmosphere and bathing in the light of Equestria's yellow sun, he felt awesome powers flowing through him. He had become, Captain Improbable, a mild mannered billionaire playboy, news reporter and pizza delivery man SUPER HERO with no parents!
-Due to the ridiculous and contradictory nature of the above backstory, his series was rebooted multiple times before ultimately reverting to the original source material due to misplaced nostaligia by overweight fans!
-Thus, Captain Improbable became the campy, overzealous hero of Manehatten, and its surrounding and surprisingly unknown sister-cities Maretropolis and Trougham.
