  1. >After I say goodnight to her and close my eyes, I find myself unable to fall asleep
  2. >Fucking insomnia.
  3. >Seconds turn to minutes, and minutes into hours. I still can’t fall asleep
  4. >I begin to grow angry
  5. >However, Fluttershy’s presence keeps me from going nuts
  6. >At least I have her to snuggle with in the dead of night
  7. >I put my hand on her head and gently pet her
  8. >I don’t want to interrupt her slumber
  9. >I continue petting her until the first rays of sunshine start coming through my window
  10. >I stop petting her and give her a kiss on the snout
  11. >This causes her to wake up
  12. >She opens her eyes and looks directly at me
  13. >”Good morning, Anon.” She says
  14. “Morning, Fluttershy.” I reply
  15. >She nuzzles her nose against mine
  16. >Even though this has happened a lot in the last day, I still smile and blush
  17. >I begin petting her again, and she smiles
  18. >”Anon? What are we going to do today?”
  19. “I don’t know Flutters, what should we…”
  20. >I stop, remembering something
  21. >I have to work today
  22. >That’s when a thought hits me
  23. >I could call in sick, that way I’d be able to spend another day with Fluttershy
  24. >Yeah, I think I’ll do that
  25. “I don’t know what we’re going to do today, Flutters, but before we do anything, I have to make a phone call.”
  26.
  27. >I run my hand through Fluttershy’s mane before hopping out of bed
  28. >Before exiting my room, I bend down and plug in my alarm clock that I had forcefully unplugged the day before
  29. >I look at the clock. It reads 5:58
  30. >My boss should be at work by now
  31. >I exit my room, enter the kitchen and pick up the phone
  32. >Thankfully, I have my boss’s cell-phone number saved to the phone
  33. >I call him up
  34. >After a few minutes, he picks up
  35. >”Hello?”
  36. “Hey there, James, it’s Anonymous.”
  37. >”Oh, good morning, Anon! How are you?”
  38. “I’m good. Yourself?”
  39. >”I’m good. So what’s up? You never call me this early.”
  40. “Sorry, James, I can’t make it to work today.”
  41. >”Why not?”
  42. >I have to think of a lie
  43. “A… family emergency. Dad’s been hospitalized, so I need to go see him.”
  44. >”Alright, Anon, I understand. Just be sure to show up early tomorrow!”
  45. “Will do, James!”
  46. >”Alright, kid, see ya!”
  47. “Bye!”
  48. >I hang up the phone, put it back on the receiver and go back to my room
  49. >I look at Fluttershy, and she looks back at me
  50. “So, what do you want to do today?”
  51.
  52. >She looks away and puts her hoof under her chin
  53. >Her facial expression says it all; she’s thinking about what she wants to do
  54. >Her face lights up and she turns back to me
  55. >”Well, I know that you said other people may not accept me, so perhaps we could go someplace private?”
  56. >I ponder her response, thinking about private places we could go
  57. >The most private place I know of is my apartment
  58. >That’s when I remember my cousin owns a small library in Andover
  59. >It’s closed to the public on Mondays, so perhaps she could let us in
  60. “Maybe we could go the library?”
  61. >Her eyes go big and she smiles
  62. >”The library? She says
  63. “Yeah! My cousin owns one a few miles away. It’s closed to the public today, so he may let us in. We’d have the whole place to ourselves!”
  64. >”That’s sounds wonderful!”
  65. “Now, I can’t make any promises, Fluttershy, but I’ll see what I can do.”
  66. >She smiles
  67. >I smile back, and my stomach rumbles. I’m hungry
  68. “Are you hungry for breakfast, Fluttershy?”
  69. >”Do you have any more apples?” She says
  70. >If I remember correctly, I still have a few left over from yesterday
  71. >I walk over to the fridge and open it. Sure enough, there are still six apples left
  72. >I take out two. One for Fluttershy and one for myself
  73. >I shut the fridge and walk to the living room, placing one apple down onto the coffee table
  74. “Bon appetit!” I say. I then take a bite of my apple
  75. >Fluttershy does the same with hers
  76.
  77. >We both finish our apples at the same time
  78. >I take both apples and walk to the kitchen
  79. >I throw them into the trashcan
  80. >Walking back to the living room, I see Fluttershy spread her wings and begin flying
  81. >I stare in awe at her beauty
  82. >She turns around and looks me right in the eye
  83. >”Sorry, Anon, I’m just stretching.”
  84. >Should I tell her how beautiful she looked just then?
  85. >whythefucknot.avi
  86. “Fluttershy… you look gorgeous!”
  87. >She blushes
  88. >“Why, thank you, Anon!” she exclaims
  89. >She flies above the couch and begins to lower herself
  90. >She sits down on the cushion and folds back her wings
  91. >”Well, are you going to come sit down?”
  92. “I will in a second, Fluttershy. I’ve just gotta make another call.”
  93. >I walk back to the kitchen, pick up the phone and press three
  94. >I’ve got my cousin on speed-dial
  95. >After a few minutes of no response, I get the answering machine
  96. >Her voice message starts playing
  97. >”Hi there! You’ve reached Janet! Sorry I can’t get to the phone right now, but leave your name and number and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for calling!”
  98. >I hang up and put the phone back on the receiver
  99. >I’ll call back in a bit.
  100. >I begin walking back to the living room, when I suddenly get a headrush. A bad one
  101. >I fall forward and hit my head on the coffee table, knocking myself out
  102.
  103. >I see nothing but black
  104. >Yup, I’m out cold, but I seem to be having some sort of dream
  105. >I look down and see my legs
  106. >Good, at least I’m in one piece in this dream
  107. >I rub my eyes for a moment, and when I pull my hands away, I’m surrounded by six mirrors
  108. >Six mirrors in a black room. Is this an epiphany or something?
  109. >I turn and look in each one, only to see myself
  110. >Then, when I get back to the first mirror, I no longer see my own reflection
  111. >Instead, I see Fluttershy
  112. >She’s looking at me with a smile
  113. >I begin banging on the glass, trying to get to her
  114. >”Don’t worry. I’m fine!” she says
  115. >I’m not entirely reassured, but her voice calms me down
  116. >Suddenly, the sound of shattering pierces my eardrums
  117. >I turn around to see that four of the mirrors have broken
  118. >I turn back around, and only one remains. It’s the one on the right of Fluttershy’s mirror
  119. >I see nothing in the mirror, not even my reflection. I see only glass
  120. >Out of nowhere, a fierce shining light appears from above me
  121. >I’m blinded and stunned
  122. >Then, out of nowhere, a voice booms out across the black landscape
  123. >It’s angelic and soothing, more so than Fluttershy’s. It sounds almost royal
  124. >”You’ve accepted Fluttershy. It’s her you adore.” The voice says
  125. >”But now, it’s time to add one more…”
  126. >The blinding light fades, and I turn back to the mirrors. Fluttershy is still in hers, but my reflection in the other is gone
  127. >Instead, Twilight Sparkle occupies where my reflection should be
  128.
  129. >I look directly at Twilight, and she looks back at me
  130. >Just like Fluttershy, she looks the same as she does in the show
  131. >At least, how she looks post Season 3
  132. >Her beautiful purple fur is the same, as is her pretty indigo hair, complete with the pink stripe
  133. >Her tail matches her hair
  134. >Her cutie mark is just out of view due to her wings, but it also seems to be the same
  135. >That reminds me. I haven’t checked to see if Fluttershy has her cutie mark
  136. >Twilight and I make eye contact
  137. >She smiles
  138. >”I’ll be with you two soon.” She says
  139. >Wait, what?!
  140. >Twilight spreads her wings and flies upwards out of view
  141. “Wait! WAIT! Come back!”
  142. >The dream begins to fade away
  143. >SHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT
  144. “TWILIGHT!!”
  145. >The black room begins to fade to white
  146. “TWILIGHT!!”
  147. >The mirrors are consumed by the fading dream
  148. >I begin to grow exhausted. Very weird considering I’m dreaming
  149. “TWI… Twi… twilight…”
  150. >The dream fades completely, and I know I’m awake again
  151. >I suddenly feel a cold temperature pressed against my forehead
  152. >I open my eyes to find Fluttershy holding her hoof down on my forehead. She’s obviously holding an icepack
  153. >I groan, and close my eyes
  154.
  155. >I wake up a few minutes later to Fluttershy still holding the ice pack on my forehead
  156. >I’m quite literally beat, so I only manage to get out a few words
  157. “Did… did you… shut the freezer door?”
  158. >She nods and puts a hoof over my mouth, obviously as a way of keeping me quiet
  159. >A headache begins to take shape, and I pass out again
  160. >I wake up later on with a pillow underneath my head and a blanket covering me
  161. >I look to my right and find Fluttershy napping next to me on the floor
  162. >Her heads on the pillow and she’s under the covers with me
  163. >I roll over to face her, and I put my left hand on her head
  164. >I lightly shake her
  165. >This wakes her up
  166. “Thanks for taking care of me.”
  167. >”Don’t thank me. I was just helping out a friend.”
  168. >I smile
  169. “But I want to thank you, Nurse Fluttershy.”
  170. >She giggles
  171. >”Well, how do you want to repay me, Anon?” She asks
  172. >I know just the way to repay her
  173. >”I mean, we could do so much, and all we’ve done is sit here in your-“
  174. >I stop her by putting a finger up to her mouth
  175. >I take one hand and wrap it around her body
  176. >I take my other hand and put it under her head
  177. >I move in closer to her
  178. >”Anon?”
  179. >Without another word, I put my lips onto hers
  180.
  181. >She immediately pushes me away
  182. >”Anon!” she screams
  183. >shitwhatthefuckdidijustdo.mov
  184. “OH, MY GOD! I’m so sorry, Fluttershy! I don’t know what came over me!”
  185. >Fluttershy looks stunned
  186. >Fuck. I just ruined our relationship
  187. >Her stunned expression slowly fades and turns into a blank expression
  188. >I can’t tell if she’s mad or happy
  189. “Fluttershy?”
  190. >She gets up from under the covers and walks into the kitchen
  191. >I roll on my back and put my head up
  192. “I’m… I’m sorry, Fluttershy.”
  193. >She turns back to me and looks me dead in the eye
  194. “Fluttershy?”
  195. >She begins running at full speed
  196. >I’m screwed
  197. >She leaps into the air, spreads her wings, and flies over me
  198. >Goodbye, life. I hardly knew you
  199. >She stops flying and falls to the ground, landing right on top of me
  200. >So, this is how I die. I get killed by a yellow and pink pony with wings
  201. “Fluttershy, wai-“
  202. >My sentence is cut off by her lips meeting mine
  203. >She removes her lips ten seconds later
  204. >I look at her in disbelief, and she looks back at me
  205. >”Now we’re even.” She says with a smile
  206.
  207. >She gets off of me, allowing me to get up
  208. >I grab the coffee table for support and lift myself up to a standing position
  209. >The headache returns, but I manage to suppress it
  210. >I go to my room and check the time. The clock reads 8:27
  211. >That entire ordeal took two hours?
  212. >I exit my room and see Fluttershy waiting for me
  213. >I’m still in shock by what just happened, so I go into the kitchen and pick up the phone
  214. >With a nervous but happy tone to my voice, I speak to Fluttershy
  215. “Listen, Fluttershy, why don’t I call up my cousin and see if we can go to her library?”
  216. >”Sounds great, Anon!”
  217. >She seems to have quickly gotten over our recent interaction
  218. >I press three and hold the phone up to my ear
  219. >After a few seconds, Janet picks up
  220. >”Hello?” she says.
  221. “Hey, Janet! It’s me, Anonymous!”
  222. >“Hi, Anon! How are you?”
  223. “I’m doing just fine! Listen, can I ask you a question?”
  224. >”Anything for you, Anon!”
  225. “Look, I have a friend over right now, and I told her you own a library. I know it’s closed to the public on Mondays, but I was wondering if…”
  226. >”Let me guess. You want me to let you two in on an off day?”
  227. “If that’s alright…”
  228. >”I actually had to go to the library today to check and see how many books have been returned since last week. You two can come for a visit. I’ll let you in.”
  229. “Really? Thank you Janet!”
  230. >“You’re welcome Anon! See you soon!” With that, she hung up the phone
  231.
  232. >I turn to Fluttershy
  233. “Well, looks like we’re going to the library today!”
  234. >She jumps for joy
  235. >”Yay! Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, Anon!”
  236. “You’re welcome, Flutters!”
  237. >She hops into the air and flies over to me
  238. >She then wraps her arms around me and hugs me tight
  239. “Alright Fluttershy, let’s go to the library.”
  240. >She releases her grip and lowers herself to the ground
  241. >”You said it was a few miles away, right?”
  242. “Yes.”
  243. >“How are we going to get there, Anon?”
  244. “Don’t worry. I have a way.”
  245. >I walk to the refrigerator and look on the side
  246. >A small key rack with three hooks hangs on the fridge
  247. >Each hook is occupied
  248. >I take the keys on the middle hook
  249. >I turn around and dangle them in the air
  250. “See these? These’ll get us where we need to go!”
  251. >”Keys?” she asks
  252. “Trust me.”
  253. >She nods, but she has a concerned look on her face
  254. “Just give me a few minutes, Fluttershy. I need to go get dressed.”
  255. >”Okay, Anon, just be quick! I can’t wait to go!”
  256. “Don’t worry, Flutters. We’ll be there soon.”
  257.
  258. >After throwing on a new pair on underwear, a nice dark red polo shirt, jeans, a pair of socks and my shoes, I was ready to go
  259. >Then a thought hits me
  260. >How will I get Fluttershy to the library unnoticed?
  261. >Think, Anonymous, think!
  262. >idea.jpg
  263. >I open my closet, and to my delight, a large messenger bag is laying on top of a pile of boxes
  264. >It’s a nice brown leather on the outside and black fleece on the inside
  265. >This should be comfy for her
  266. >I bring it out of my room and show it to Fluttershy
  267. >She looks at it with a puzzled look on her face
  268. >”What is this?” Fluttershy asks
  269. “It’s a messenger bag! It’s used to carry around big items, or in this case, an adorable pony.”
  270. >She giggles
  271. >I open up the bag for her, and she hesitantly climbs inside
  272. >Thankfully, it’s a perfect fit for her
  273. >She climbs out, closes the bag and allows me to put the strap over my shoulder
  274. >I stand up, reopen the bag, and Fluttershy flies into it
  275. “Alright, Flutters, in order for you to be hidden, I have to close the bag.”
  276. >She nods in understanding
  277. >I walk to the key rack and grab the keys to my apartment
  278. >I pick up my car keys from the countertop and walk to the front door
  279. “You ready, Fluttershy?”
  280. >She nods and takes a deep breath
  281. >I close the bag and open the front door
  282. >It’s time to bring Fluttershy out into the real world
  283.
  284. >I exit my apartment and shut the door behind me
  285. >The air feels nice against my skin, and it tastes sweet
  286. >I can tell by the hairs standing up on my arm that it’s a nice fifty degrees Fahrenheit today, surprisingly warm for January
  287. >I walk to the stairs and quickly run down them
  288. >I put my apartment keys in my pocket and pull out my car keys
  289. >I press the unlock button, and I hear a beep come from across the parking lot
  290. >My shitty 2002 Nissan Altima is ready to go
  291. >Thanks for the hand-me-down car, dad
  292. >I walk over to the car and open the left side back door
  293. >Gently, I put the messenger bag inside and open it
  294. >I look Fluttershy directly in the eye
  295. “Are you ready for your first car ride?”
  296. >”What’s a car?” Fluttershy asks
  297. >Oh, the wonders I’m about to show her
  298. “It’s what you’re in right now, besides a messenger bag. Want me to show you what it does?”
  299. >She nods
  300. >It’s showtime
  301. “First, I need to put on your seatbelt. Can you sit in the middle for me, please?”
  302. >She moves to the center, and I put on her seatbelt
  303. >She’s a bit confused as to why I put it on her, but she seems to like it
  304. >I exit the back, shut the door, open the driver-side door and hop in.
  305. >I shut my door, put on my seatbelt, and put the keys into the ignition
  306. “Are you ready, Fluttershy?”
  307. >”Yes, Anon!”
  308. “Then let’s go!”
  309.
  310. >I turned the ignition, and the engine starts up
  311. >Fluttershy squeaks with fear
  312. >I found it adorable, but I needed to comfort her
  313. “Don’t worry. It’s just the car starting up.”
  314. >She’s still worried, but she manages to get a response out
  315. >”Okay. I trust you.”
  316. >I put the car in reverse and step on the gas
  317. >The car begins to move backwards
  318. >”Oh, my!” Fluttershy says in awe
  319. “You haven’t seen anything yet.”
  320. >After backing out fully, I check to make sure I’m in the clear to drive
  321. >There are no other cars in the parking lot, so this should be easy
  322. >I put the car in drive, turn the steering wheel left, and step on the gas again
  323. >Fluttershy gasps in amazement
  324. >[d’awwing intensifies]
  325. >I take my foot off the gas and turn around to look at Fluttershy
  326. “You ready to go?”
  327. >”Yes! Absolutely!” she exclaims
  328. “Alright! Let’s go!”
  329. >I turn back around and step on the gas again
  330. >I drive out of the parking lot and turn onto the main road
  331. >Our journey to the library has begun
  332. >Fluttershy gasps again
  333. >It’s about to get even better for her
  334. >She has no idea what the open road has in store for her
  335.
  336. “How are you enjoying your first true look at the outside world?”
  337. >”It’s… beautiful!” Fluttershy says
  338. “How do the buildings look?”
  339. >”They’re…”
  340. “Yes?”
  341. >”They’re simply stunning!”
  342. >This is her first look at Boston from outside my apartment
  343. >It must mean a lot to her
  344. >I continue to drive up Memorial Drive, onto Commercial Ave
  345. “See that big brick building on the right with the white spire and two white domes?”
  346. >”Yes.” She says
  347. “That’s the Museum of Science. Maybe I could take you there one day.”
  348. >”What’s in it?” She asks curiously
  349. “A lot of things related to science, like plants, space, physics, that kind of stuff.”
  350. >”And we could go there?”
  351. “Sure! I mean… after I get used to the idea of taking you out in public.”
  352. >”That would be nice… I mean… if you would take me…”
  353. “I promise, Fluttershy. One day, we’ll go there.”
  354. >I turn on the radio, and turn the channel to Sirius XM
  355. >Thank God I bought the subscription when it was on sale
  356. >I switch the station to Ozzy’s Boneyard
  357. >Led Zeppelin starts playing. It’s “The Immigrant Song”
  358. >ohfuckyeah.jpg
  359. >The music escapes the speakers, and I begin to sing along
  360. “We come from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot springs flow!”
  361.
  362. >The song ends before we make it to the intersection of Commercial Ave and Route 28
  363. >When the car comes to a halt at the intersection, I turn back and look at Fluttershy
  364. >She’s stunned by what she’s just heard
  365. “Did you enjoy that?”
  366. >The look on her face says it all. She’s absolutely petrified
  367. “Well?”
  368. >Her facial expression changes from petrified to extremely happy
  369. >”I loved it!!” she states
  370. >I smile back at her
  371. “You wanna hear some more awesome music?”
  372. >She nods in approval
  373. >I turn around and hit the CD button above the radio
  374. >The first CD begins to play
  375. >It’s one I made myself that contained all my favorite songs
  376. >First up on the disc was The Dropkick Murphys
  377. >”I’m Shipping Up To Boston” starts playing
  378. “Pay attention, Fluttershy. This song’s about the city we’re in now!”
  379. >The first notes of the banjo start blaring through the speakers
  380. >The guitar kicks in momentarily afterwards
  381. >Then the real music starts
  382. >The instruments come together beautifully
  383. >Fuck yeah, here we go
  384. >The light turns green, and I turn right onto Route 22
  385. >The vocals begin, and I sing along
  386. “I’m a sailor peg! And I’ve lost my leg! Climbin’ up the top sails, I lost my leg!”
  387.
  388. >The instrumentals continue as I drive past the Museum of Science
  389. >Fluttershy seems to be enjoying the music, as I hear her humming the instrumentals
  390. >The chorus starts
  391. “I’m shippin’ up to Boston! WHOOOAAAAHHHOOOO!”
  392. “I’m shippin’ up to Boston! WHOOOAAAAAHHHH!”
  393. >Fluttershy catches on, and she takes over the singing
  394. >”I’m shipping up to Boston! Yay!”
  395. >Her angelic voice doesn’t quite match up with the Murphys
  396. >It sounds beautiful, though
  397. >Her saying “Yay” instead of “Whoa” put a smile on my face
  398. >We continued driving up Route 22, past the Science Park T-Station and up the highway on-ramp
  399. >”Anon? What’s that building on the right?” Fluttershy asks curiously
  400. “That’s the TD Garden, Flutters.”
  401. >”Garden?!”
  402. >I know how much she loves nature, but I have to break this to her
  403. “Not that kind of garden, Fluttershy.”
  404. >”Oh…”
  405. “The TD Garden is where sports are played and concerts are held. It’s a popular tourist attraction here.”
  406. >”Could we go there someday?” she asks
  407. >First it was the Museum of Science, and now it’s the TD Garden?
  408. >She must really be interested in Boston now, and it’s only been two days since she arrived
  409. “Sure!”
  410. >”Thank you, Anon!”
  411. “You’re welcome, Fluttershy.”
  412. >I continue driving away from the city
  413.
  414. >I drive up I-93 for a solid 45 minutes
  415. >The entire time, Fluttershy is quiet
  416. >She’s obviously taking in her surroundings
  417. >I get off at Exit 43 in Andover
  418. >Janet’s library should be nearby
  419. >If I remember correctly, it’s near a golf course
  420. >After ten more minutes of driving, I find the library
  421. >It’s just down the street from the Andover Country Club
  422. >It looks just like a regular house in semi-woodland Massachusetts
  423. >The plot of land is surrounded by the woods
  424. >Only one thing stops me from mistaking this building for a regular house; it has a sign for the library out front
  425. >The sign lists the library’s hours, with Monday being the only closed day
  426. >Janet lives just down the street, so she can walk to her work, but instead, I find her car in the parking lot
  427. >It’s a 2003 Ford Taurus, but it’s in good shape considering it’s 11 years old
  428. >I pull into the parking lot, and I see Janet exiting her car
  429. >I grow worried. She’s going to see Fluttershy if I’m not careful
  430. “Flutters, it’s time to get into the messenger bag again.”
  431. >”But I can’t get to it with this belt on me!”
  432. >Shit, hadn’t thought of that
  433. “Hang on, I’ll think of something…”
  434. >Then, I get an idea
  435. >I turn around and exit the parking lot before Janet notices my car
  436. >I go further down the street, closer to the country club
  437. >I remember that there’s an abandoned house with an empty driveway. I could park there and put Fluttershy in the messenger bag
  438.
  439. >I find the abandoned house without a problem
  440. >It’s overgrown, but still visible
  441. >I pull into the driveway. It too is overgrown
  442. >I put the car in park, unlock it and exit the vehicle
  443. >Through the windows, I can see Fluttershy’s confusion
  444. >I open the back passenger door
  445. >She looks at me with concern
  446. >”Why did we stop here? We could’ve just stopped at the library.”
  447. “I don’t want Janet to see you…”
  448. >Wait, I’ve brought Fluttershy with me. That means I have to show her to Janet
  449. “…yet. I don’t want her to see you yet.”
  450. >I unbuckle Fluttershy’s seatbelt and grab the messenger bag
  451. >Fluttershy assists me in opening the bag, and she hops in
  452. >I exit the back, shut the door, and get back in the driver’s seat
  453. >I shut the door, put on my seatbelt and put the car in reverse
  454. >I back out of the abandoned driveway and turn back onto the main road
  455. >Putting the car in drive, I go back down the road towards the library
  456. >I drive into the parking lot and see Janet getting out of her car
  457. >I honk my horn, and she turns to me
  458. >She waves at me and walks to the back door of her car.
  459. >I park on the other side of the lot, that way Janet won’t immediately see me
  460. >I shut the car off, take the keys out of the ignition, unlock the car and open the door
  461. >After unbuckling my seatbelt, I hop out of the car, shut my door and open the back door once again
  462. >Fluttershy looks at me from within the messenger bag
  463. >The time has come for the confrontation I’d been dreading
  464.
  465. >Fluttershy nods at me, signaling she’s ready to be hidden
  466. “I need you to stay still for me, okay?”
  467. >”Okay, Anon!”
  468. >I close the messenger bag, put the strap over my shoulder and exit the back seat
  469. >I shut the door and lock the car
  470. >I turn around and see Janet waving to me, so I wave back and begin to walk over
  471. >When I get to her, she gives me a hug
  472. >”It’s great to see you again, Anon!”
  473. “Great to see you too, Janet. How have things been?”
  474. >”Things have been good. Oh, I hope you don’t mind, but I brought someone along with me.”
  475. >She brought someone?
  476. >Janet opens the back door of her car, and sitting in a small booster seat is a little girl
  477. >It’s her daughter, Emily.
  478. >Emily’s asleep in her booster seat, and she’s still wearing her pajamas
  479. >Janet reaches into the car and shakes her daughter lightly
  480. >”Emily! Look who’s here!”
  481. >Emily opens her eyes and turns to me
  482. >”It’s your cousin, Anonymous!”
  483. >Emily yawns and waves hello, obviously still too tired to talk
  484. >”You wouldn’t mind watching her while I check the returned books, would you?”
  485. >That wasn’t brought up in our phone conversation, but what the hell, I’ll do it
  486. “Sure!” I’d be happy to!”
  487. >Janet  smiles and enters the back of her car to unbuckle Emily from her booster seat
  488. >Emily gets up and exits the car, and that’s when I notice something.
  489. >Cradled under her right arm is a Build-a-Bear Twilight Sparkle plushie
  490.
  491. >I remember what the voice said to me in my dream
  492. >”Now, it’s time to add one more.”
  493. >Oh, fuck, it's happening
  494. >This is not good
  495. >I back up and allow Janet to get Emily out of the car
  496. >”So, where’s your friend?”
  497. >Fuck, I told her that I’d be bringing someone with me
  498. “Oh…”
  499. >SHIT WHAT DO I SAY TO HER
  500. >”Anon? Is something the matter?”
  501. >GOTTALIEFAST.gif
  502. “No, nothing’s wrong! My friend is just taking her own car. I think she may have gotten lost.”
  503. >I hope that lie works
  504. >”Oh, okay. Is she gonna be here soon?”
  505. “She should be, yes.”
  506. >”Alright.”
  507. >Yes! The lie worked
  508. >”In the meantime, I’ll let you two inside.” Janet says
  509. >She grabs a blanket from a bag on the floor of the car and hands it to Emily
  510. >The blanket is the same color pink as Fluttershy’s mane
  511. >Emily takes the blanket and wraps it around the Twilight plushie as Janet unbuckles Emily from her booster seat
  512. >Janet backs up and allows Emily to exit the car
  513. >Emily hops onto the ground, still holding the Twilight plushie
  514. >Janet turns to me
  515. >”Well, let’s get you two inside.”
  516.
  517. >Janet shuts the back door of her car and locks it
  518. >She puts her car keys into her purse and pulls out another set of keys
  519. >These must be to the library
  520. >She takes Emily’s left hand and begins walking up the pathway to the front door of the building
  521. >I begin walking up the pathway shortly after they arrive at the door
  522. >Janet puts the keys into the keyhole and unlocks the door
  523. >They enter, and I follow them
  524. >Janet brings Emily to the kid’s section
  525. >It’s nice and colorful
  526. >It contains a few beanbag chairs, two computers and three couches, as well as three bookshelves overflowing with books
  527. >Emily sits down in a beanbag chair
  528. >Janet unwraps the blanket from around the Twilight plushie
  529. >She places the plushie next to Emily, who immediately hugs it
  530. >Janet puts the blanket on top of her daughter and Twilight
  531. >Within seconds, there’s snoring
  532. >Emily’s out cold
  533. >Janet turns to me and points to a phone on the wall on the other side of the kid’s section
  534. >”You can use that phone to call your friend if you wish.”
  535. “Thank you for allowing me to do this.”
  536. >”It’s no trouble, Anon!”
  537. >I give her another hug
  538. >Alright, Anon. I’m gonna go check and see how many books have been returned.”
  539. “Okay, Janet.”
  540. >She walks away, and as soon as she’s out of sight, I open the messenger bag
  541. >Fluttershy’s head pops out of the bag, and I nod to her
  542.
  543. >Fluttershy flies out of the messenger bag and lands on the ground
  544. >She lays eyes on Emily, although Flutters doesn’t know exactly who she is
  545. “Shh… she’s asleep.”
  546. >”Is this Emily?”
  547. >She must’ve heard Janet and I talking
  548. “Yes, that’s Emily.”
  549. >”She’s so cute!”
  550. >Emily really is cute. Not as cute as Fluttershy, but still cute
  551. >I motion for Fluttershy to follow me, and she does so
  552. >I look through the books on the first bookshelves
  553. >A copy of “The Hunger Games” is mixed in among the books labeled under ‘C’
  554. >The ‘C’ obviously standing for Collins in this case
  555. >I wonder why that’s there…
  556. >Ignoring the obvious misplacement, I look down and see a book lying on the floor
  557. >It’s a copy of “Where the Wild Things Are”
  558. >Perfect. Fluttershy will love this
  559. >Just as I reach down to grab the book, I hear a small sound
  560. >It’s not very loud, but it’s definitely there
  561. >I look around, trying to find the source of the noise
  562. >Fluttershy’s looking too
  563. >We’re both looking around, finding nothing
  564. >I turn to Emily, and I find the source of the sound
  565. >The horn of her Twilight plushie has begun to glow
  566. >I repeat what the voice said to me in the dream
  567. “Now, it’s time to add one more…”
  568.
  569. >The horn on the Twilight plushie continues to glow
  570. >Fluttershy looks at it in wide-eyed disbelief
  571. “Fluttershy, stand back…”
  572. >”Why?” she asks
  573. “Just stand back!”
  574. >She begins to move backwards, but she doesn’t take her eyes off Emily and Twilight
  575. >Suddenly, the horn stops glowing, and a tiny ball of white light appears at its tip
  576. >I move in closer towards the plushie to inspect the light
  577. >I reach out to touch it, but I stop myself
  578. >The tiny ball of white light has begun to expand
  579. >ohshit.wmv
  580. >The light begins to encase the Twilight plushie and Emily
  581. “EMILY!”
  582. >I run to her and pull her off the beanbag chair
  583. >She wakes up and looks at the scene unfolding in front of her
  584. >”Twily! No!” she says with a horrified tone in her voice
  585. >The ball of light consumes the plushie, but it continues expanding
  586. >It begins growing at a faster rate
  587. >I pick up Emily and hold her close
  588. >Suddenly, the ball of light explodes, consuming everything in its path
  589. >Fluttershy, Emily and I are blinded
  590. >This is almost exactly what happened in my dream, everything goes to white
  591. >In the whiteness, I see the silhouette of the plushie. It’s entirely black
  592. >It rises into the air and begins to grow at an alarming rate, eventually becoming the same size as Fluttershy
  593. >Then, something incredible happens. The silhouette opens its eyes
  594.
  595. >I still see nothing but white and the silhouette
  596. >But I can feel Emily in my arms
  597. >The silhouette closes its eyes
  598. >The blinding white light recedes, allowing me to see Fluttershy and Emily
  599. >However, the light still encases the silhouette
  600. >The light lowers back to ground level, taking the silhouette with it
  601. >When it gets to the beanbag chair, it recedes instantly
  602. >The silhouette disappears, revealing Twilight Sparkle
  603. >She’s now in her pony form, and lying on top of Emily’s blanket on the beanbag chair
  604. >Twilight’s asleep on the blanket and snoring softly
  605. >All three of us are shocked at what just took place
  606. >I put Emily down and begin to walk towards Twilight
  607. >Emily and Fluttershy are right behind me
  608. >I get to the beanbag chair, bend down, and look directly at Twilight
  609. >She looks the same as she does in the show post Season 3
  610. >Purple fur, Indigo mane and tail (each with one pink stripe), wings and cutie mark
  611. >I reach out to Twilight’s back and pet her fur
  612. >Sure enough, it’s just as soft as Fluttershy’s
  613. >Twilight groans, and I retract my hand
  614. >Emily climbs onto the beanbag chair next to Twilight
  615. >She wraps her arms around Twilight and gives her a hug
  616. >This causes Twilight to open her eyes
  617. >She looks directly at Emily, who responds with a smile that stretches from ear to ear
  618. >Then, Twilight speaks
  619. >”Hi, Emily!”
  620.
  621. >Wait, what the fuck?! How does Twilight know Emily’s name?!
  622. >”Twilight? Is it really you?” Emily asks
  623. >”Yes, it’s really me!” Twilight replies
  624. >Emily strengthens the hug, and Twilight hugs her back
  625. >It’s a very sweet moment, but I need to ask her how she knew Emily’s name
  626. >”But, how did you know my name?” Emily asks
  627. >Thanks for doing that for me
  628. >”I’ve heard your mom call you by your name before.” Twilight responds
  629. >suddenrealization.jpg
  630. “That explains why you asked me what my name was, Fluttershy!”
  631. >”How?”
  632. “Because you’d never heard my name before! Twilight had heard Janet call Emily by her name while she was in plushie form, so she knew who Emily was! You’d never heard my name since I live alone, so that’s why you asked me!”
  633. >I turn to Twilight
  634. “Were you able to see Emily, too?”
  635. >"Yes.”
  636. >I turn back to Fluttershy
  637. “Were you able to see me?”
  638. >Fluttershy shakes her head
  639. “No?” Then how was Twilight able to see Emily?”
  640. >”Even I don’t know how I was able to see Emily,” Twilight answers. “I just started being able to see her as soon as she hugged me for the first time.”
  641. >”Is it because you’re a princess?” Emily asks
  642. >”Maybe.”
  643. >Twilight isn’t able to complete her sentence, as a voice penetrates the library. It’s Janet.
  644. >”Emily!”
  645.
  646. >This is bad, this is really… REALLY bad…
  647. >Shit, what am I gonna do?!
  648. >Well, only one thing to do now
  649. >They have to be hidden
  650. “Fluttershy, get back in the messenger bag! Twilight, get under the blanket!”
  651. >”Why?” They both ask in unison
  652. “Just do it!”
  653. >I open my messenger bag and Fluttershy flies into it
  654. >Emily gets off the blanket, which allows Twilight to crawl underneath it and get out of sight
  655. >I close the bag just as Janet walks into the room
  656. >”Hey there, you two!” she says
  657. “Hey, Janet!”
  658. >”Did you two find anything interesting?”
  659. >Well, yes, but probably not in the context you’re thinking of
  660. >”We sure did, Mommy!” Emily says
  661. >”Well, what did you find?” Janet asks
  662. >Shit, she may have me cornered now
  663. “We found a copy of ‘Where the Wild Things Are’.”
  664. >”Oh, such a great story!” Janet exclaims. “Too bad the movie wasn’t that good.”
  665. >I couldn’t agree more with that statement
  666. >”Emily, where’s your Twilight toy?”
  667. >”It’s under the blanket, Mommy, I’ll get it for you!”
  668. >She turns around and begins to take the blanket off of Twilight
  669. “WAIT!”
  670. >Fuck. Why did I just say that?!
  671.
  672. >Now I’ve done it
  673. >”Wait for what, Anon?” Janet asks
  674. >Fuck. There’s no way out of this, is there?
  675. >Time to come clean and tell the truth
  676. “Look, Janet, something happened while you were gone…”
  677. >She looks at me with a puzzled look on her face
  678. >”What do you mean?” she asks
  679. “Well, it’s just… something happened with Emily’s plushie.”
  680. >”Oh, no! Did it rip, Emily? Don’t worry, Mommy will fix it!”
  681. “No, it didn’t rip.”
  682. >”Then what happened?”
  683. >There’s no way out of it now
  684. >I have to tell her
  685. “I think it’d be better if she told you herself.”
  686. >Janet looks to Emily
  687. “Not Emily. Someone else.”
  688. >Janet looks back to me
  689. “Twilight? Can you come out from under the blanket, please?”
  690. >Twilight slowly crawls out from underneath the blanket
  691. >Janet looks dumbfounded at the sight
  692. “That’s not all.”
  693. >”There’s more?”
  694. >I open the messenger bag
  695. “Fluttershy, come on out. It’s time for you to meet someone.”
  696. >Hesitantly, Fluttershy pokes her head out from the messenger bag
  697.
  698. >”You’re kidding, right?” Janet says
  699. “Please don’t freak out!”
  700. >”I’m not even capable of freaking out at this point, Anon.”
  701. >Okay? I guess?
  702. >”I’ve definitely seen weirder stuff in my life, but this is pretty far up there.” She states
  703. >I look at Twilight, and she looks back at me
  704. ”You’re not going to tell anyone about this, are you?”
  705. >”I’ll keep it a secret on one condition.”
  706. “And that is?”
  707. >”You take her with you.”
  708. “What?!”
  709. >”You heard me. You’re taking her with you. I just can’t afford to take care of… of a cartoon pony!”
  710. >This gets to Emily, as she starts crying
  711.  >”Mommy! Please! Don’t take Twilight away from me!”
  712. >”I’ve made up my mind, honey! Twilight is going with Anonymous!”
  713. >Twilight goes to Emily’s side and begins comforting her
  714. >”Don’t worry. I’ll be fine. Anonymous will take good care of me.”
  715. >Emily continues crying and wraps her arms around Twilight
  716. >Janet is still unmoved by this, while Fluttershy and I are on the verge of tears
  717. >I walk over to Emily and Twilight and give them both a hug
  718. >Fluttershy trots over and joins in
  719. >Emily’s now bawling, and Twilight has begun to shed a few tears herself
  720. >“Emily…” Fluttershy says
  721. >She’s still crying, but Emily turns her head and looks at Fluttershy
  722. >“You don’t need to worry. Twilight’s in good hands.”
  723.
  724. >Emily turns back to Twilight
  725. >They both look at each other
  726. >”Twilight… please… don’t leave…” Emily says while sobbing
  727. >”I’m sorry…” Twilight replies
  728. >Emily strengthens the hug even more
  729. >The two continue crying
  730. >Even though they just met today, they’ve already formed an unbreakable bond
  731. >I turn to Janet and find that she’s finally accepted what’s going on
  732. >She can’t fully separate Twilight and Emily
  733. >”ALRIGHT! Alright!” Janet screams
  734. >Emily stops hugging Twilight and turns to face her mother
  735. >Twilight looks at Janet as well
  736. >”Look, I can’t let you keep Twilight, but I will allow this…”
  737. >Emily’s face begins to light up
  738. >”Twilight can come visit on weekends if she wants to
  739. >Emily and Twilight jump for joy and run over to Janet
  740. >”Thank you, Mommy!” Emily exclaims. She’s now crying tears of joy
  741. >Janet kneels down and hugs her daughter
  742. >I turn to Fluttershy, who has a huge smile on her face
  743. >I kneel down beside Fluttershy and smile
  744. “Looks like you’ve got a new roommate.”
  745. >”You’ll take good care of both of us, right?” Fluttershy asks
  746. “Of course.”
  747. >“Thank you, Anon,” Fluttershy says “Oh, look!”
  748. >I turn around and see Janet give Twilight a hug
  749.
  750. >We begin to exit the library
  751. >Fluttershy is inside my messenger bag, but Twilight has no way to hide
  752. >At least, there’s no way for her to hide that I know of
  753. >”Janet, before I go with Anonymous, I need to get something from your house.”
  754. >Huh? What could she possibly need to get from Janet’s house?
  755. >”Um… Sure, Twilight. What do you need?”
  756. >”You’ll know what I need when you see it
  757. >Janet looks incredibly confused
  758. >I turn to Twilight
  759. “Twilight, if you don’t mind me asking, how are you going to hide yourself from view of the public?”
  760. >She responds by casting a spell
  761. >Her horn begins to glow, and slowly her body disappears
  762. >Wait, invisibility? Did she learn that spell in the show?
  763. >Her body disappears completely
  764. >“I didn’t know you could turn invisible, Twilight!” Emily states
  765. >I hear her giggle, and she reappears
  766. >Yup. That’ll hide her
  767. >I close my messenger bag, and Twilight casts her invisibility spell again
  768. >We exit the library
  769. >Janet hits the unlock button on her keys, and her car unlocks
  770. >We arrive at Janet’s car, and Twilight reappears
  771. “Twilight?”
  772. >She turns to me
  773. “Just what do you need to get from Janet’s house?”
  774. >”I just need to get my friend.”
  775.
  776. >Friend? What the fuck is she talking about?
  777. >That’s when it hits me
  778. >She’s talking about Spike
  779. >The voice in the dream did not mention this
  780. >I open my messenger bag, and Fluttershy pops her head out
  781. “Fluttershy, I think it’s best that you go with Twilight, just to check on who this ‘friend’ is.”
  782. >She looks at me with concern. She knows I know exactly who Twilight is talking about
  783. “Don’t worry. I’ll be right behind you guys. I just need some time to think.”
  784. >Fluttershy nods and hops out of the messenger bag
  785. >Janet puts Emily in her booster seat
  786. >Fluttershy and Twilight enter the car and sit down next to Emily
  787. >Twilight uses her magic to put on their seatbelts
  788. >Janet shuts the back door of her car and turns around to face me
  789. >”Why can’t you just take Fluttershy with you?” she says
  790. “I need some time to think about how I’m going to go about caring for both of them.”
  791. >”Do you really need to think about it on your own?”
  792. “Yes, I do.”
  793. >”Alright then. See you soon.”
  794. >Janet opens up her door and gets into the driver’s seat
  795. “Janet…”
  796. >”Yes, Anon?”
  797. “You seemed to accept the fact that Twilight and Fluttershy existed without issue. Why? Weren’t you shocked?”
  798. >”Like I said, Anon. I’ve seen much weirder.”
  799. >Shut shuts her door, puts the keys into the ignition and starts the car
  800. >Twilight, Fluttershy and Emily wave goodbye as Janet drives out of the parking lot
  801.
  802. >I walk to my car, contemplating how I’m going to take care of the two of them
  803. >I unlock my car, open the front door and sit in the driver’s seat
  804. >I shut the door and sigh
  805. >I was told that I’d only have to deal with one more
  806. >Placing my head on the steering wheel, I start talking to myself
  807. “You lied to me… you fucking lied to me!”
  808. >I become increasingly angry
  809. “You said one more! ONE!”
  810. >I force the keys into the ignition
  811. “Fuck you! I can’t take care of three!”
  812. >I start the car
  813. ”I work a dead end job, making eight dollars an hour, and you expect me to be able to care for THREE of them?!
  814. >I sit back up and furiously put on my seatbelt
  815. ”No! I can’t do this!”
  816. >I slam my foot onto the gas pedal and drive out of the parking lot
  817. >Just as I get out of my parking space, I hear tires screech in the distance
  818. “Janet…”
  819. >I begin driving out of the parking lot when I hear a horn beep
  820. “Emily…”
  821. >I begin to enter the main road, when I see a car come flying down the street
  822. “Twilight… Fluttershy…”
  823. >I turn left and begin driving, when I stop my car in the middle of the road
  824. “Celestia, forgive me!”
  825. >The speeding car crashes into mine, causing the windows to shatter and the airbags to go off
  826. >Then, I see a bright light
  827.
  828. >Suddenly, I see nothing but white
  829. >It’s the direct opposite look of the room I was in when I hit my head on the coffee table
  830. >I look down at my clothes and find I’m wearing all white
  831. “No…”
  832. >I reach my hand behind my back and find I now have wings
  833. >A small gasp escapes my mouth, and a tear flows from my eye
  834. “No!”
  835. >I look up and see a golden ring floating above my head
  836. >It’s a halo
  837. “NO!”
  838. >I’m an angel now
  839. >The crash had killed me
  840. >I get on my knees and begin trying to dig through the floor of the room I was in
  841. >My hands fail to penetrate the floor
  842. “NO! NO! NO!”
  843. >I stop trying to dig my way out, and I start crying
  844. >”Isn’t this what you wanted?” a voice says
  845. >It’s different from the voice in my dream
  846. >It sounds younger, but it’s just as angelic and royal-sounding
  847. >I continue crying
  848. >”You said ‘Celestia, forgive me’ just as the car crashed into you. That must mean you saw the crash as a way out.”
  849. “I wasn’t thinking clearly! I don’t know why I said that!”
  850. >”Then get up and say that to my face, human.”
  851. >I stand up and turn around, and what I see in front of me is nothing short of shocking
  852. >It’s Princess Luna
  853.
  854. “Princess Luna…”
  855. >Just like Twilight and Fluttershy, she’s exactly the same as in the show
  856. >I bow to her
  857. >”That was a very bad decision you made.” She says
  858. “I don’t know what came over me, your highness! I… I just…”
  859. >”Just what?”
  860. “I… I guess I just couldn’t handle the responsibility of taking care of three of them.”
  861. >”So you chose to commit suicide?”
  862. “No.”
  863. >”That’s what it sounded like to me.”
  864. “Your highness, the voice I heard in the dream told me only one more!”
  865. >”That one more was Twilight Sparkle! You should’ve known Spike would be involved with her!”
  866. “I can’t handle three of them!”
  867. >”Ah, but you can handle two?”
  868. “Three is too many, Princess!”
  869. >“But two was perfectly fine? Surely if you can handle two ponies you can handle a baby dragon!”
  870. “I can’t handle a fucking dragon!”
  871. >Luna smacks me across the face with her hoof
  872. >”Don’t you DARE use that language in my presence!”
  873. “My apologies, Princess…”
  874. >She sighs and turns away from me
  875. >”At this rate, you’ll never complete your task. At this rate you’ll never make it to…”
  876. >She stops herself
  877. >”Forget I said that.”
  878. “Wait, what task? Make it where?!”
  879.
  880. >”I told you to forget I said that.”
  881. “No! I’m not going to forget you said that! Now tell me about this quest and this place I’m supposed to be going to!”
  882. >”Anonymous, you have done your job perfectly so far, but now it’s time for it to continue.”
  883. >She closes her eyes, and her horn begins to glow
  884. >ohshit.jpg
  885. “Wait! Princess! Please stop!”
  886. >She doesn’t
  887. “What do you mean I’ve done my job perfectly?!”
  888. >The room begins to shake
  889. >I step away from her
  890. “Luna! Please! Tell me what’s going to happen!”
  891. >Luna bends down and aims her horn right at my chest
  892.  “LUNA! Stop!”
  893. >A ball of blue light appears on the tip of her horn
  894. “WAIT!”
  895. >”Fear not, I’m sending you back.”
  896. > She shoots a beam from the light on her horn, and it hits me square in the chest
  897. >My body begins disintegrating
  898. “LUNA!”
  899. >She looks back up at me
  900. >”Goodbye, Anonymous.”
  901. “LUNA, WAIT!”
  902. >She looks me dead in the eye
  903. >”I’ll see you soon.”
  904. >With that statement, my entire body disintegrated, and I saw nothing but black
  905.
  906. >I begin to hear noises, but they’re muted
  907. >There’s screaming, but I can’t tell where it’s coming from.
  908. >I slowly open my eyes
  909. >The airbags have been punctured and have deflated as a result, allowing me to see the wreckage
  910. >Everything is completely ruined
  911. >The windshield of my car is shattered horrendously, the hood is badly damaged and the windows on the left side of the car are gone
  912. >The car that hit me lies stuck in the middle of the road
  913. >I hear a voice come from outside my wrecked car
  914. >”Emily, stay inside the car with Fluttershy and Twilight!”
  915. >Then, I hear a door shut and footsteps coming closer to me
  916. >I hear sirens in the distance
  917. >Everything continues to sound muted and far away
  918. >”Anon! Stay with me! Everything’ll be fine as long as you stay with me!”
  919. “Janet…”
  920. >”Oh, God, you’re alive!”
  921. “Janet…”
  922. >”What is it, Anon?! What is it?!”
  923. “Keep… keep… keep the ponies hidden…”
  924. >I black out
  925.
  926. >Beep
  927. >Beep
  928. >A heart rate monitor is going off
  929. >But… where am I?
  930. >I begin to open my eyes
  931. >I’m in a hospital room
  932. >Somehow, I survived the crash
  933. >I open my eyes further and look to my left
  934. >Janet and Emily are sitting down on a bench
  935. >In Janet’s lap lies Fluttershy, fast asleep
  936. >In Emily’s lap is Twilight, out cold
  937. >But both Emily and Janet are wide awake, and they haven’t noticed me
  938. >Time to let them know I’m up
  939. “Did you keep them hidden like I asked you to?”
  940. >Janet and Emily turn to me, and Fluttershy and Twilight wake up
  941. >”Yes. I kept them hidden.” Janet says
  942. >Fluttershy and Twilight jump up and fly over to my bed
  943. >Fluttershy lands on my left side, Twilight on my right
  944. >They nuzzle their heads against my neck
  945. >”Thank goodness you’re okay!” Fluttershy exclaims
  946. >”We were so worried about you!” Twilight states
  947. >Janet comes to my bedside and kisses me on the forehead
  948. >”Thank God you’re okay.” She says
  949. >I nod at Janet and turn to Twilight
  950. “So, did you get your friend?”
  951.
  952. >Twilight nods and gestures with her hoof, pointing over to the corner of the room
  953. >There, in a small wicker basket wrapped in a white blanket, is Spike
  954. >He looks just the same as he did in the show, green spines on his back and all
  955. >I turn back to Twilight
  956. “He’s cute when he’s sleeping.”
  957. >”Isn’t he?” Twilight says
  958. >I turn back to Janet
  959. “So, how long have I been out?”
  960. >”Two days.” Janet says
  961. >Shit. I hope James under
  962. >”Anon…” Emily says
  963. “Yes, Emily?”
  964. >”We got you a “Get Well Soon” gift…”
  965. “Really? That’s so sweet. You didn’t have to get me anything.”
  966. >”Well, we wanted you to feel better, so we got you a little something”
  967. >I blush
  968. >”Twilight, would you do the honors?” Janet asks
  969. >In response, Twilight’s horn begins glowing, and a box floats up from the side of the bed
  970. >It’s a Build-a-Bear box
  971. >Twilight puts it into my lap
  972. >”Well, go on! Open it!” Emily demands
  973. >I put my hands on the box, when I hear a voice inside my head. The one from my dream
  974. >It drowns out all the other sounds in the room
  975. >”Fluttershy and Twilight, for them you care.”
  976. >”Now it’s time to take to the air.”
  977.
  978. >”Anon? Is everything alright?” Fluttershy asks, breaking the silence created by the voice
  979. “Yes, everything’s fine.”
  980. >I begin to open the box
  981. >I take the handles that hold the top two sides of the box out of their holders
  982. >The box opens
  983. >I reach my right hand inside, and make contact with soft fur
  984. >Oh, they did not…
  985. >I put my other hand inside the box
  986. >I feel around for a bit, before I touch something
  987. >It feels like the toy has wings
  988. >Oh, yes they did…
  989. >I pull the plushie out, revealing a rainbow mane and soft pastel blue fur
  990. >It’s Rainbow Dash
  991. >”We hope you like it!” Emily says
  992. “Are you kidding? I couldn’t be happier with this!”
  993. >waitaminute.jpg
  994. >I repeat what the voice just said to me inside my head
  995. >”Now it’s time to take to the air…”
  996. >Does this mean that this Rainbow Dash plush will…
  997. >The voice inside my head returns
  998. >It drowns out all sound again
  999. >”Yes.” It says.
1000. >All sound returns right after the voice says this one simple word
1001. >I lock eyes with the plushie
  1002. “I’m ready.”
  1003.
1004. >All five of us just chat for the rest of the day
1005. >Hours pass, and eventually the sun begins to set
1006. >The entire time, I’m holding my new Rainbow Dash plushie in my arms
1007. >”Mommy, are we going to stay with Anonymous until he gets better?” Emily asks
  1008. >”Of course, honey.”
1009. >I smile at Emily, and she smiles back at me
1010. “Twilight, Fluttershy, what are you going to do if the doctors come in to check on me?”
1011. >”Don’t worry. My invisibility spell can work with more than one pony, so I’ll be able to hide both myself and Fluttershy.”
  1012. >Fluttershy nods
1013. >”The only time I’d ever leave your side is to hide from the doctors. That way, we’ll be able to stay together forever!”
1014. >Together forever with Fluttershy, Twilight, and Spike? Yeah, I’d like that
1015. >Eventually, the sun sets, and everyone falls asleep
1016. >That is, everyone except for me
1017. >The light remains on in my hospital room, and the heart rate monitor keeps beeping
1018. >I still have the Rainbow Dash plushie in my arms
1019. >I turn it around, place it in my lap and look directly at its eyes
  1020. “Whenever you’re ready, I’m ready.”
1021. >Almost immediately after I say that, the plushie begins to grow in size
1022. >It reaches pony size, and begins transforming from a plushie into a pony
  1023. >I close my eyes, when suddenly…
  1024. >…poof
1025. >I open my eyes and find Rainbow Dash sleeping on my lap
1026. >I run my hand through her mane, which causes her to wake up, look me directly in the eyes, and smile
  1027. “Hi there, Rainbow Dash…”
