- >You've lost count of the days.
- >You've lost count of everything.
- >You always remind yourself of your inadequacy.
- >Your failure.
- >Your weakness.
- >You haven't said a word since that night.
- >Twilight keeps running tests on you.
- >The physical strain is nothing anymore.
- >You scream no screams.
- >You cry no tears.
- >You feel the pain.
- >And you desperately try to hate these horse beings.
- >You eat your rations only to live.
- >You live only to see this place burn.
- >You don't remember your past adult life.
- >You don't remember life after getting out of your “home,” really.
- >That life made you weak.
- >Soft.
- >Useless.
- >You remember the pain
- >The pain fills this hole that's been ripped back open.
- >The hole you said that you'd already left behind.
- >Pinkie is strangely stoic.
- >Most nights, you just stare at each other.
- >Neither of you saying a word.
- >Sometimes she smiles a sad smile at you.
- >It's almost like she empathizes with you now.
- >Like she knows what it's like not to feel anything but pain.
- >Sometimes she cuts into you.
- >Slowly.
- >Delicately.
- >No words are needed in either case.
- >You still wanted nothing less than to hate her for doing what she did.
- >To hate them all for doing what they did.
- >But these two horses deserved all the pain you would give them.
- >All the pain and more.
- >You take mental notes about everything.
- >The layout of the room.
- >The layout of your cell.
- >You test the bars, the walls, the bed.
- >You test your strength against Twilight's tests, throwing yourself at them with reckless abandon.
- >A part of your hopes to die in the middle of those tests.
- >But most of you remembers the memory of that little orange filly.
- >Regardless of your plans, everything really just stays the same.
- >Day in, day out, all the same.
- >No different.
- >No way out.
- >Living for the sake of living.
- >Until one particular night.
- >Pinkie and you are in another staring bout.
- >Neither of you saying a word.
- >Neither of you moving.
- >Her sitting on her haunches, you sitting in your chair.
- >The only difference is that all of the lights are on in the room this time.
- >Other than that, it's the same thi-
- >”I'm sorry.”
- >You don't acknowledge it at first.
- >You don't understand what she just said, really.
- >She walks up to you and hugs you.
- >”I'm so sorry.”
- >You're in shock.
- >What's happening here?
- >Then she backs up and pulls out her knife.
- >Oh.
- >So that's it.
- >This is the end.
- >She walks behind you slowly, looking down the entire time.
- >You silently apologize to the three little fillies.
- >You couldn't do anything about this place.
- >You couldn't make their deaths have some sort of meaning.
- >A tear rolls down your cheek as you accept your fate.
- >You close your eyes and wait for it.
- >And wait.
- >And wait.
- >It never comes.
- >Instead, your bindings fall off.
- >”Twilight's gone for the night. The keys are hanging on the door. I'll be waiting when your ready.”
- >What?
- “What is this?”
- >Silence.
- >You don't move.
- >Is this some sort of trick?
- >A test?
- >Nothing like this has happened before.
- >It's too good to not try and take it.
- >You slowly get up.
- >Nothing happens.
- >You look behind you.
- >Pinkie's gone.
- >The room's empty, save for you.
- >You look over at the door, and sure enough, there are keys on the door.
- >Keys to the cells, maybe?
- >This could be a trap.
- >A test.
- >Does it really matter at this point?
- “Fuck it.”
- >You throw caution to the wind and run over to the door.
- >You get the keys and open it.
- >The door opens.
- >That's it.
- >You see the hallway in front of you.
- >There's nine cells in the hall.
- >Besides your cell and the three cells for the fillies, you have no idea who is in the others.
- >You walk down the hall, not paying attention to them.
- >You can feel eyes on your back as you walk to door on the other end.
- >You have no intention of leaving this place, so taking them with you would be pointless.
- >You have some business you need to take care of.
- >You take a look at the room that you spent the past God-knows-how-long in.
- >Looks weird from the outside.
- >You look behind you, at the cells of the three fillies.
- >You look at them, then down at the keys.
- >You see the three in their cells, looking up at you.
- >The white one speaks.
- >”Help them, Anonymous.”
- “They'll slow me down.”
- >The yellow one speaks.
- >”You need to get them out of here. You need to help the.”
- “I need to take care of the two that did this.”
- >You start walking away when you hear another voice.
- >”Remember what I told you. You need to be strong.”
- “I...”
- >You look back at the keys, then down the hall at the other cells.
- >You see four mini horses the size of Pinkie and Twilight.
- >They each have a collar on them as well.
- >You look up and close your eyes.
- >”You need to be strong.”
- >You look down at the three cells, seeing them as they truly are.
- >Empty.
- >You sigh.
- >You start unlocking the four cells that actually have something in them.
- “Alright. I'll be strong.”
