  1. >Day Time Before Time in Equestria.
  2. >After being defeated by your brother Makuta, you were flung across the galaxy trapped in the Mask of life and crash landed here.
  3. >Here on this strange planet.
  4. >All the beings here were completely biological, much unlike yourself.
  5. >Now you were a powerful Toa warrior, your body forged by the mask from the dirt in the ground.
  6. >You wielded a powerful blade and of course the powers of the Mask of Life.
  7. >You had made contact with the leaders of the nation you resided in, Equestria, roughly a month ago.
  8. >You approach the student of the land’s leader, Twilight Sparkle.
  9. >The two of you got along well.
  10. >She was a being of intellect, and taught you many things about this world.
  11. >Of course the fact they all vaguely reminded you of something close to female Kane-Ra, but they were definitely not creatures created by Makuta Teridax.
  12. “Greetings, Twilight Sparkle. I have returned to read more of the literature within this library. Is that a problem?”
  13. >You towered over the small violet being, but she knew better than to be afraid of you.
  14. >”Sure! What’ll it be today? History? Art? Music? Magic?”
  15. >It had taken some time for you to learn their language, but it was simple enough.
  16. “I was hoping to read some more history if that is alright with you.”
  17. >”No problem! Come on in!”
  18. >Easier said than done.
  19. >You practically had to crawl into the tree house, and you had to crouch to keep from smashing a hole in the ceiling.
  20. >You pick out a few books and return to your home.
  21. >It’s a rather large sized building made of stone that you built.
  22. >It had to be big; you were big.
  23. >You sit down and begin reading the first book.
  24. >Such a rich history full of culture.
  25. >Culture and heroes.
  26. >You remembered the tales of Twilight Sparkle and her friends.
  27. >They reminded you of the Toa from your home.
  28. >Mighty warriors with great power that were summoned in times of need to fight for all.
  29. >You reach history from a thousand years ago.
  30. >This Discord creature mentioned wasn’t unfamiliar to you; you’d been shown his statue.
  31. >A strange being composed of several other creatures.
  32. >It almost reminded you of the Bohrok-Kal Kaita.
  33. >Vaguely.
  34. >On that note, there existed those creatures as well.
  35. >Well, similar ones.
  36. >A horde of insects called Changelings, led by a villainous Queen.
  37. >Her defeat was not at the hands of this world’s stand-ins for Toa, but by the very thing that sustained her.
  38. >Beings that feed off of love.
  39. >Yes, this world had some odd villains.
  40. >You turn the page and read about the true unification under Celestia and Luna, the rulers of this land.
  41. >Unity.
  42. >One of the three virtues of the Matoran.
  43. >The Matoran you failed to protect.
  44. >Still, you had a chance to protect these… beings.
  45. >A threat might rise that they couldn’t handle.
  46. >You finish that chapter and turn to the next.
  47. >Suddenly, a commotion.
  48. >You put the book down, marking your place with a bookmark, and exit your home.
  49. >The skies are dotted with pink clouds.
  50. >You narrow your eyes.
  51. >This is a sign the Discord creature has escaped.
  52. >You were told the tale of his last escape, and this was one of the signs.
  53. >You hurry off to meet up with Twilight Sparkle.
  54. “Does this mean what I think it means?”
  55. >”Unfortunately, yes it does. It’s progressing faster this time though; Discord isn’t messing around!”
  56. >Sure enough, the ground is changing to checkerboards and chunks of earth under buildings float into the sky above.
  57. >Roads turn to soap and plants turn to geometric figures.
  58. >Then the ringmaster appears.
  59. >”Discord!”
  60. >The other five heroes arrive.
  61. >”Oh no, not this time. You see, I’ve been planning this ever since you sealed me away. I’m skipping the games!”
  62. >He snaps his fingers and the six p0nies turn gray.
  63. “What did you do to them?!”
  64. >He looks to you, interested.
  65. >”Oh? And what are you supposed to be?”
  66. “I am Mata Nui, a Toa warrior. What have you done, villain?”
  67. >”’Toa’? What a weird name. You obviously aren’t from around here. Still, no chances!”
  68. >He taps your mask but instead of becoming like the six warriors, your mask glows and sends the being backwards.
  69. >”What was that?!”
  70. “My Mask of Life. Apparently it prevents you doing whatever you did to them to me.”
  71. >You calmly march over and grab the being’s beard.
  72. “Change everything back and leave this land! NOW!”
  73. >”Or what? You’ll shine your mask at me?”
  74. >You draw your blade and hold it to his throat.
  75. “Or I’ll separate your head from your body.”
  76. >That was plenty enough motivation.
  77. >The world returned and the being vanished.
  78. >You turn back and hold your hand out to the six p0nies.
  79. >Your mask’s power restores them.
  80. >”What happened?” asked the blue one.
  81. “That Discord creature did something to you. I drove him off however; he won’t be a problem again.”
  82. >Suddenly Celestia appears in a flash of white light.
  83. >”Mata Nui, I have come to thank you for dealing with Discord when my Student and her friends could not.”
  84. >How she knew this fast was a mystery to even you.
  85. “Think nothing of it, Princess Celestia. It is what any true Toa would do.”
  86. >”I see. Perhaps you could tell me tales of these Toa warriors and your home.”
  87. “Perhaps.”
  88. >You had a new people to protect now.
  89. >You knew that the Toa warriors would be able to stop Makuta Teridax, your brother.
  90. >They were inside him after all; they could take him apart from within.
  91. >There were at least two teams of active Toa there anyway.
  92. >Your mission was now clear.
  93. >You would defend these p0nies when their greatest heroes could not.
  94. >Perhaps you could even have the honor of fighting alongside them in battle.
  95. >Today was a good day.
