I have returned to read more of the literature within this library. Is that a problem?” >You towered over the small violet being, but she knew better than to be afraid of you. >”Sure! What’ll it be today? History? Art? Music? Magic?” >It had taken some time for you to learn their language, but it was simple enough. “I was hoping to read some more history if that is alright with you.” >”No problem! Come on in!” >Easier said than done. >You practically had to crawl into the tree house, and you had to crouch to keep from smashing a hole in the ceiling. >You pick out a few books and return to your home. >It’s a rather large sized building made of stone that you built. >It had to be big; you were big. >You sit down and begin reading the first book. >Such a rich history full of culture. >Culture and heroes. >You remembered the tales of Twilight Sparkle and her friends. >They reminded you of the Toa from your home. >Mighty warriors with great power that were summoned in times of need to fight for all. >You reach history from a thousand years ago. >This Discord creature mentioned wasn’t unfamiliar to you; you’d been shown his statue. >A strange being composed of several other creatures. >It almost reminded you of the Bohrok-Kal Kaita. >Vaguely. >On that note, there existed those creatures as well. >Well, similar ones. >A horde of insects called Changelings, led by a villainous Queen. >Her defeat was not at the hands of this world’s stand-ins for Toa, but by the very thing that sustained her. >Beings that feed off of love. >Yes, this world had some odd villains. >You turn the page and read about the true unification under Celestia and Luna, the rulers of this land. >Unity. >One of the three virtues of the Matoran. >The Matoran you failed to protect. >Still, you had a chance to protect these… beings. >A threat might rise that they couldn’t handle. >You finish that chapter and turn to the next. >Suddenly, a commotion. >You put the book down, marking your place with a bookmark, and exit your home. >The skies are dotted with pink clouds. >You narrow your eyes. >This is a sign the Discord creature has escaped. >You were told the tale of his last escape, and this was one of the signs. >You hurry off to meet up with Twilight Sparkle. “Does this mean what I think it means?” >”Unfortunately, yes it does. It’s progressing faster this time though; Discord isn’t messing around!” >Sure enough, the ground is changing to checkerboards and chunks of earth under buildings float into the sky above. >Roads turn to soap and plants turn to geometric figures. >Then the ringmaster appears. >”Discord!” >The other five heroes arrive. >”Oh no, not this time. You see, I’ve been planning this ever since you sealed me away. I’m skipping the games!” >He snaps his fingers and the six p0nies turn gray. “What did you do to them?!” >He looks to you, interested. >”Oh? And what are you supposed to be?” “I am Mata Nui, a Toa warrior. What have you done, villain?” >”’Toa’? What a weird name. You obviously aren’t from around here. Still, no chances!” >He taps your mask but instead of becoming like the six warriors, your mask glows and sends the being backwards. >”What was that?!” “My Mask of Life. Apparently it prevents you doing whatever you did to them to me.” >You calmly march over and grab the being’s beard. “Change everything back and leave this land! NOW!” >”Or what? You’ll shine your mask at me?” >You draw your blade and hold it to his throat. “Or I’ll separate your head from your body.” >That was plenty enough motivation. >The world returned and the being vanished. >You turn back and hold your hand out to the six p0nies. >Your mask’s power restores them. >”What happened?” asked the blue one. “That Discord creature did something to you. I drove him off however; he won’t be a problem again.” >Suddenly Celestia appears in a flash of white light. >”Mata Nui, I have come to thank you for dealing with Discord when my Student and her friends could not.” >How she knew this fast was a mystery to even you. “Think nothing of it, Princess Celestia. It is what any true Toa would do.” >”I see. Perhaps you could tell me tales of these Toa warriors and your home.” “Perhaps.” >You had a new people to protect now. >You knew that the Toa warriors would be able to stop Makuta Teridax, your brother. >They were inside him after all; they could take him apart from within. >There were at least two teams of active Toa there anyway. >Your mission was now clear. >You would defend these p0nies when their greatest heroes could not. >Perhaps you could even have the honor of fighting alongside them in battle. >Today was a good day.
