  1. [02:05] <Liven> I would also like to make the descriptions more understandable. I'm smart in certain areas, but trying to understand what these mean feels like I need some sort of language degree.
  2.
  3. [02:07] <Liven> Personally, I'd see three as an optimal number.
  4.
  5. [02:10] <Liven> Basic: Everyday chatter and written communication. Used to convey information that anyone could need. No reason for something that anyone might want to know about (say, again, herbology), to be in such a radically different form of writing you need to go up a "tier" to understnad it.
  6.
  7. [02:12] <Liven> High: Ye olde Englishe. A form of writing and communication that, in the modern era is seldom used. While it shares many characteristics with Basic, much of it is radically different. Certain words have different spellings and means, grammer is not the same or morphed, and perhaps certain alphabetic characters are either added in or missing from the Basic alphabet.
  8.
  9. [02:19] <Liven> Arcane: A system of writing to convey magical ideas such as spells, charms, and secret information. Arcane is Equestrian in name only; it is radically different from Basic, though shares some similarities with High. It primaraly uses symbology to express ideas, and doesn't have much of a verbal aspect to it.
  10.
  11. [02:20] <Liven> I don't think THIS should be the system, don't get me wrong
  12.
  13. [02:21] <Liven> I just think that the current one needs work, as it seems that with just knowing basic and having 4 more tiers we have no way of learing, it's overly complex and doesn't make a lot of sense
