Title: Whirly Gig Author: ThatDamnGernade Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/xE0W2Qa3 First Edit: Wednesday 30th of July 2014 08:46:58 PM CDT Last Edit: Last edit on: Saturday 24th of January 2015 08:47:28 PM CDT Name:  Whirly Gig Gender: Female Race: Plane Pony (Pegasus) Class: Sapper (Rouge/Smith) Special Talent:  X-Plane Pony:  What seems like the mechanical minion fused with flesh is really just her natural biomechanical body.  1 hit and 1 wound are added to Whirly Gig.  She is considered one target (skills/spells like cleave won't be able to target her and the minion), but she doesn't gain the minion's turn (only one standard action).  She can be healed like a normal character, but she can't make repair rolls to herself (someone who is familiar with plane pony biomechanics possibly can, however).  She retains the Mechnical's Minions 3 points of additional skills from any class, but must use her normal three points for Mechanical Minion.  Due to being specialized for mostly for stealth, she receives +1 to Cloaking Device. Hits/Wounds: 6/6 Armament Systems: [Ranged] 1 M39 cannon [Ranged] 2 LAU-68D/A rocket pods loaded with Hydra 70 cluster munition rockets. Character Traits:         Whirly Gig is a bronze-colored pony with green eyes; she features a transition visor that changes when she is about to enter/leave and during stealth.  She doesn't have a mane, and her short tail looks like a helicopter tail without the tail rotor.  She has semi-telescopic wings (half of the wings can extend and/or retract), but the entirety of the wings can rotate 90 degrees one way (either to have the rockets thrust her forward, upward, or somewhere in between the two positions).  Her cannon is retractable and is located on her chest; while her rocket pods are located on the non-telescopic parts of her wings. She has two small jet engines on her wing tips.  In the center of where wing connects to body is her main rotor, which is a coaxial rotor.  She features three 'modes.'  When in helicopter mode, her wings are retracted and her rotor keeps her in the air.  When in jet mode, her wings are extended, the rotor blades are folded back, and the jet engines activate.  While grounded, her wings are retracted and the rotor blades are folded back.     Skills: Pegasus Flight: Pegasi can fly, and get a +1 bonus to actively evade and dodge midair. Flight is about as taxing as running at full speed.   Bounce: passive;  You hate spending too much time in one place, and are always itching to fly at a moment’s notice.  Takeoff is instant and automatic.   Cloaking Device: You carry one curious device that renders one thing invisible. You cannot make another, but then, you probably won’t lose the one  you have either. Anything the device is placed on and activated, disappears from sight as if it had Stealth. This can affect living beings as well as objects. Cloaked things can only be found by touching them, or otherwise knowing where they are (for instance, by remembering where you left them, or by smelling them).   Mechanical Minion: passive; You begin the game with a homemade companion. It knows the same skills you do (save for Mechanical Minion), plus up to 3 points of additional skills taken from any class or even a mix of different classes, has 5 hits and 5 wounds, and cannot be healed except by the owner spending a turn to repair it. If it breaks down in combat, it can be rebuilt later with a successful repair roll. Unaffected by  Pet Mastery.   Marksman Shot: recharge 3, requires ranged weapon, weapon; autocrits (any success is critical), benefits from Trick Ammo.   Hawkeye: instant; see far into the distance, find small details in a scene, see in dim light or nighttime, or examine an enemy to gain a +1 bonus against it for your attack this turn.   Hot Irons: weapon; Cleave X targets with a critfail range of X-1.     Background:         A unique plane pony who hails from [REDACTED]; a base dedicated to testing various other X-Plane Ponies.  Like the other plane ponies, she was built and her sentience shaped her personality.  Unlike other plane ponies, she is one of the several few (perhaps even the first) to have elements of two different class of aircraft combined.  While life was not hard or tough, it was rather sheltered.  Due to the secretive nature of [REDACTED], she was not allowed to fly far from base; and even then, it was only during certain hours of the day.  Since she was one of the more successful designs that allowed for more rigorous testing, she was treated more like a national treasure than an actual pony.  If she crashed, there would be others helping her up before she even fully realized she crashed; if something wasn't working properly, she could have sworn she heard sirens blare about a red alert.  She grew to dislike this as she grew older, and it was only a matter of time before she took things into her own hooves.           During a combat exercise, she faked her own death as a devastating crash into a mountainside.  In truth, she was actually flying away without a scratch on her.  This was made easy since she had an experimental active camo system installed for the exercise.  Fortunately, it worked as intended.  With an over-protective and sheltered home behind her, she flies off to explore the world beyond [REDACTED].
