Chapter 2-Bonus: Success!

Going into the barracks, I realize I never even asked how I use the spell in the first place. "Gods, I'm losing my mind" I say, realizing this is the third time I've had something out-of-the-ordinary happen. I shrug it off, figuring it might be the stress that the mission is putting on me. One of the training dummies is open, and figuring this may be my only chance to practice, I try out the spell.

 

Now I've seen Mika cast spells before, and from how it looks, I think you have to concentrate on your target, and envision your spell. I close my eyes, concentrating on the dummy before me. I imagine a blue silken ribbon coming out of my hand, and wrapping around where the dummy's mouth would be. I open my eyes, and low and behold, a blue ribbon is wrapped around the things mouth! "Haha! I did it! I really did it!" I exclaim, overjoyed that it worked. "Let's try it again..." I close my eyes once more, and try to imagine a new ribbon wrapping around the dummy's stem (where the feet would be). I hear a louder *fwoosh* and see a blue ribbon at the stem of the dummy.
