- >Weeks go by, and you've gathered enough bits from working odd jobs around town to get a small house on the outskirts of town
- >Working in the bakery had been really enjoyable, but you still had bruises from all the flour sacks thrown at you
- >Life is going well for you in this new place; you've even gotten up to par with Dash when it comes to drinking
- >On your way to do some roofing on the city hall one afternoon, Twilight calls you over
- >She's acting frantic, and she's holding... levitating... a fancy-looking letter in front of you, too close to read
- >”ANON! Princess Celestia wants to see you jump!”
- >You're taken aback; the Princess never actually showed any interest in meeting you
- “...Twi, with all the letters you send her, I'm surprised it took this long for her to find out.”
- >”That's not the point! She's organizing a show for you this weekend in Canterlot!”
- >Well then. The ruler of your new home wants to see you skydive. Who are you to say no?
- “I'm in, on one condition.”
- >Twilight tenses up, eyes widening
- “You need to keep calm, okay? No freaking out. Deal?”
- >She takes a deep breath, trying hard to calm herself down
- >”Deal. Remember, this weekend.”
- >She walks off, making it twenty feet before breaking into a sprint and yelling about making a list or something
- >Oh well, you're still doing this
- >This leaves you a few days to make sure everything is ready
- >Putting it out of your mind for now, you make your way to City Hall and climb up to the roof, already wondering how you're going to
- >The weekend arrives sooner than you care to think about
- >You had packed your bags, and now you're standing on the platform of the train station with Rarity, Twilight, and Dash
- >The others had businesses to run or animals to attend to; you didn't hold it against them
- >Rarity had gotten over your “garish appearance” and made you some clothes, along with a new jumpsuit
- >You were toying with the idea of a wingsuit, but hadn't yet gotten around to asking her
- >”Hey Anon, you up for another round of drinking tonight?”
- >Typical Dash, drinking the night before a big stunt.
- “Dunno. I might tone it down a bit. Can't afford to be hung over tomorrow, can I?”
- >”Pfft. Hangovers? You still get hangovers? I thought you stopped getting those two weeks ago.”
- >The train arrives and spills its passengers, and the lot of you board a first-class car
- >Celestia spared no expense in getting you to Canterlot, it seems
- >You decide to ask Rarity for the wingsuit, sketching out what it would look like
- >”Anon, this really isn't the proper time to place an order, but I'll hop right on it when we return,” she says graciously
- >Damn, she's nice
- >The sun dips below the horizon, signaling the others to get some sleep as you break out a bottle of AppleJack Daniels
- >Dash gets some cups, and the two of you start pounding drinks back
- >You stop at five to keep the morning from kicking your ass
- >Your partner has given up on cups and started drinking straight from the bottle
- >Oh well, you still have two more
- >Time for sleep
