  1. The Fate of Anonymous. - 9 - The Fight -
  2.
  3. [Cockatrice's POV]
  4. >Casually you make your way around the Everfree forest, home to many including yourself.
  5. >You were considered one of the worst things in this forest.
  6. >You have the ability to turn any living creature into stone just by staring at it.
  7. >That was... Until...
  8. >You physically shudder as you tear your mind away from events of the past.
  9. >Fuck that Noise.
  10. >You continue your casual stroll through the Everfree forest, stopping for a rest in a bush.
  11. >Before you could even react, a massive bipedal creature rips open the bush you're stood in.
  12. >It stares straight at you .You make like a tree and get the hell out of there.
  13. >So here you are. Being chased by bipedal creature, similar to a diamond dog.
  14. >Years ago you would have just turned it to stone. Not anymore though.
  15.  >You drive your body around a tree in an attempt to get away from your pursuer.
  16. >Your attempt to escape was in vain as you feel the clammy skin of the bipedal creature grab you.
  17. >Trying your best to look away from it you move your head to the sides.
  18. >Pinning your head it tries to entice you. Seriously, does this thing want to be turned to stone?
  19. >" Your body is bad and you should feel bad."
  20. >Well, now you just feel bad. You'd been trying to work out, although apparent-
  21. >"Oh! Come on! What are you!? Scooterloo or something!?"
  22. >THAT FUCKER JUST CROSSED THE LINE!
  23.
  24. >With philanthropic fury you stare this bastard straight in the eyes.
  25. >You would cast him into a statue and then shit on it.
  26. >Even as he begins to turn to stone he continue to goad you.
  27. >"Good, let the hate flow through you."
  28. >That wasn't even a good impression! Eyes widening as far as cockatricely possible you stare him down.
  29. >Stone crawls its way up his body with deliberate speed. You want him to know his demise is at hand.
  30. >You figure this creature must actually be insane. It's returning your gaze with a smile.
  31. >Just as the last of its face is about to be covered up by stone it utters it's last words.
  32. >"Thank you Fluttershy."
  33. >Its entire body goes rigid and you stand there, staring at the now statue as the name works its way through your brain.
  34. >Fluttershy... Fluttershy..Fluttershy, Flutter-SHIT!
  35. >oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck
  36. >no no no no no
  37. >You recesses into the darkest corner of your mind.
  38. >Your eyes go blank as memories flash in and out.
  39. >You hurriedly begin to turn the creature back from stone.
  40. >Your entire world drains of colour...
  41. ...
  42. [Anon's POV]
  43. >You regain your field of vision and you rapidly regain control over your body.
  44. >Your body, promptly turning from stone. Back into the flesh and blood that it should be.
  45. >You notice the cockatrice, cowering in absolute fear. Having some sort of Nam flashback.
  46. "Fuck my life..."
  47. >You walk away from the now seizing cockatrice. Guess you can cross that one off.
  48.
  49. >That was a waste of fifteen perfectly good minutes.
  50. >That familiar feeling begins to crawl up from the pit of your stomach.
  51. >The feeling of helplessness. You couldn't even get yourself killed.
  52. >More to the point you hated being left alone with your thoughts.
  53. >It's all you had in your old world. Since you've been here you've actually been distracted somewhat.
  54. >You've even managed to care enough about these ponies that you don't want to kill yourself in front of them.
  55. >It would probably scar them for life. Not really something you're into.
  56. >Coveting the sound in your ears you hear a ferocious roar come from the right.
  57. >Sounds like a lion. They're pretty deadly.
  58. >Another sprint was broken into as you catapult yourself in the direction of the roar.
  59. >It comes into vision faster than you could have imagined.
  60. >It's a lion with wings and a scorpions tail. You think Fluttershy called it a Manticore.
  61. >It was surrounded by Timber wolfs. It was five on one. Clearly they thought it would be their next meal.
  62. >You stood to the side, watching the fight unfold before your eyes.
  63. >None of the creatures had paid you any attention. One of the timber wolfs leapt forward, snagging the Manticores right ear.
  64. >The Manticore quickly batted it away. Hurling the Timber wolf into a nearby tree.
  65.
  66. >Another two of the Timber wolfs leapt from the front although the Manticore was already prepared.
  67. >With a swift jab of its tail, one of the Timber wolfs was impaled by the massive tail. The other wolf got a clean swipe on the Manticores face.
  68. >A massive gash mark, buried in the Manticore's face
  69. >It let out a wail of a war cry before snapping up the guilty Timber wolf and crushing it into two with its jaw.
  70. >One down, four to go. You find yourself excited by this fight. Somewhat routing for the Manticore.
  71. >It seems it's the Manticores time for retaliation. It rears up on its hind legs and charges at the Tiber wolf that had previously caught its ear.
  72. >The Timber wolf momentarily howls in pain before exploding into a plume of splinters.
  73. >The Manticore can hardly react before the other three pounce, two hanging off it's back. One from its tail.
  74. >You can see them digging their claws and teeth into the Manticore.
  75. >It lets out a deafening roar as it tries to shake them off. It bucks around deliriously to no avail.
  76. >The Manticore seems to have surrendered to its fate as it just slumps to the floor.
  77. "HEY! KEEP FIGHTING THEM!"
  78. >All of the creatures stare at you.
  79. >The Timber wolfs jump off the Manticore and approach, edging ever closer.
  80. >Well, Looks like you're about to be savaged by three pissed off Timber wolfs.
  81.
  82. >You hold your arms out wide as you make a motion.
  83. "Come on! Think you're wolf enough to take me!"
  84. >You're not even sure if this is helping. Although it makes you feel like a badass.
  85. >The first Timber wolf lunges. You expect to be cut down there and then.
  86. >The Manticore intercepts with a sideways tackle. Followed swiftly by stepping on its neck, causing it to snap under the strain.
  87. >Three down, Two to go.
  88. >The other Timber wolfs seeing their fallen comrades try to flee. The Manticore was having none of it.
  89. >You watch as the Manticore pounces on one of the absconding wolfs and takes flight.
  90. >Effortlessly the Manticore goes sailing higher and higher into the air. It's at such a height you had lost it in the darkness.
  91. >The only thing you had to go on was the whistling.
  92. >Straining your ears the whistle got louder.
  93. >Falling at what was most assuredly a fatal speed the Timber wolf crashed into the dirt in front of you.
  94. >Dirt kicked up into your eyes. Momentarily blinded you don't see the monstrosity of a creature land in front of you.
  95. >Managing to rub the dirt out of your eyes you look forward to see a bloodied up Manticore staring you down.
  96. >Before any other thought can go through your mind you're thrown on your back from the sheer force of the Manticores leap.
  97. >Looking up at the Manticore you see it begin to lick its lips. Goodie! Looks like it's hungry.
  98. >It head jerks downwards towards your face. It's mighty jaws wide.
  99. >Instinctively you close your eyes...
