- The Fate of Anonymous.- Meeting the Neighbours - -2-
- >So here you are
- >Anonymous
- >At a party celebrating your arrival to this world, surrounded by ponies.
- >None of them even seem to notice you wallowing in depression at the side of the party.
- >It had been 5 whole hours since you tried to kill yourself. Since you failed. Since the crushing desolation settled back in.
- >You're unsure of how you arrived in this world, to be honest you don't even care how.
- >All you knew was that you was alive, the one thing you didn't want to be.
- >The music makes the whole room jump, ponies going crazy in all directions, none of them have actually said anything to you yet.
- > your thirst leads you to the buffet. They had alcohol on the table, a type of punch.
- >Maybe you can drink yourself comatose, that's the same as being dead right?
- >Beginning to drink, the first pony to actually introduce themselves walk up to you.
- >"Well Howdy there! Mah name's Applejack, you mus' be anonymous?"
- >Not bothering to look at the pony you simply nod, and begin to pour another drink.
- >"Welcome to ponyville! If ya ever need anythin' come by the orchard! I'd be more than willin' to help ya out."
- >You nod again. Pouring out another drink, this is your 8th although you're not even tipsy. It's weak liquor.
- >Applejack walks away and joins the rest of the party.
- >Even now, at your own welcoming party, no one thinks to ask how you are. Or to even introduce themselves. Other than Applejack.
- >It doesn't matter what world you was in, your life was meaningless either way.
- >After another thirty minutes of drinking you notice a cyan pony floating next to you.
- >"Whoa dude! You've practically finished all the punch yourself!"
- >Looking down you take note of the empty bowl of punch. Still not even tipsy you groan in frustration.
- >"You wanna have a drinking contest? I have to warn you though, I've got the strong stuff! Names Rainbow dash."
- "Anonymous."
- >"Are you game then? Or are you chicken!?" Rainbow dash grins
- >Mulling it over in your head. You weren't going to be playing for fun. Although at this point, liquor is liquor.
- "Let's do this."
- >You both park yourselves down and rainbow pulls out a bottle of Applejack Daniels.
- >You both start doing shots.
- >One after another, soon enough the whole event becomes a blur as you slowly become more and more intoxicated.
- >Soon enough you're royally fucked.
- >The night begins to pass by as a Haze.
- >Never once do you crack a smile though. This party might be for you, but nobody really knew you.
- >You got introduced to a shy yellow pony, Fluttershy?
- >She says hello and you simply look at her, she meep's before running for the hills.
- >You also get introduced to Rarity and Twilight. Both with horns on their heads. Unicorns or some shit.
- >You really couldn't care at the moment, the alcohol had taken effect and all of your fucks were reduced to X, where X = n²*x and n < 1
- >No one else approach's you for the rest of the night.
- >Out of the Thirty plus peop-ponies that appeared only six actually said anything to you.
- >The rest of the night was spent in a drunken stupor.
- >At the end of the night Applejack walks up to you
- >"So Anonymous, where you staying at?"
- >That was a good point, thus far all you've thought about is how fucked your life is and how best to end it.
- >You stand there, deep in thought. This was apparent to applejack who interrupts you mentally.
- >"Heck, You can always come stay in the barn for a couple a days while you get sorted out."
- >I suppose spending one night won't hurt. You can always find a way to kill yourself tomorrow.
- "Sure."
- >The walk to the orchard is a brisk one, the night air, cool to your touch.
- >This world was more pleasant than the one you left behind.
- >However one thing still hasn't changed. You don't belong in either world.
- >This would be an error you would rectify soon.
- >You reach the barn and you walk inside.
- >"Well, here ya are, I'll get ya up in the morning and ya can repay me by helping out on tha' farm."
- >In you inebriated state you fall face first into a pile of hay and fall asleep almost instantly.
- >As such, you don't notice the half lidded stare Applejack gives your body as she bites her bottom lip.
- >You drift into an alcohol induced slumber, dreaming of your old home, of everything loved, of everything lost.
- >Several hours later you awake from your dreams as the sun starts to rise over the horizon.
- >The piercing light, shooting pain rockets through your head as you clasp it in pain.
- >Hangovers, you hadn't experienced many of them. You couldn't afford to.
- >After sitting in silence for a few moments yesterday event race through your mind.
- >You woke up, got fired, Killed yourself and then got drunk with a bunch of multi-coloured talking ponies.
- >Seems like the sort of shit that could only ever happen to you.
- >Immediately you feel despair take hold of your heart. You just wanted it all to end.
- >Opening your eyes you look up and there it was.
- >Your shining Salvation. Sat at the side of the barn, embellished from the light of the sun, sat a golden rope.
- >It was as if some divine spirit had heard your plea's and provided you with an exit.
- >You lift yourself off the pile of hay and acquire the rope, feeling it, getting to know it.
- >Right now, this rope was the closest thing you had to a friend.
- >You outwardly chuckle as you remember a person from years back, he had an obsession with rope and Odin.
- >although your laughter is cut short after you remember the accident.
- >With your spirit renewed you grab a couple bales of hay and stack them to make some stair to the beam that hold up the roof of the barn.
- >You make your way to the beam and grab on. Hoisting yourself onto the beam you sit down and start to work with the rope.
- >You knew how to tie a noose and you did so with no effort at all.
- >You were smiling again, you knew what was to come next. The feeling of peace, of being done with it all.
- >The noose was ready and you secure it to the beam, the beam was sturdy, it wouldn't snap from the sudden force of weight.
- >You take in your surroundings on last time, looking around the red barn.
- >There was a slight dampen on your mood when you realize that Applejack would be the one to find your body, dangling from her barn.
- >After all, so far she was the only pony to actually seem to care for you.
- >You ponder these thought for a moment but convince yourself that she'll be fine.
- >She hardly knew you, she would feel bad for maybe a week or two and then get over it. Forgetting that you had ever existed it this world.
- >You lay your head in the rope as you stand on the edge on the hay and close your eyes. You move your left foot out to fall.
- >"Anonymous! What in tarnation are ya doing?"
- >The voice comes from behind you, by the barn doors.
- >You freeze, you can't move, as much as you just want to fall off and end it you're frozen solid
- >In the sheer terror that someone has found you out.
- >You hear the clopping of hoofs as applejack comes around to the front of you.
- >you stand there, eyes locked on hers. To scared to even blink.
- >"There's mah lasso! Thanks fer finding it, Anonymous!"
- >What?
- >She climbs up the hay bales and take the rope from around your neck and unwinds the noose as if it was a shoe lace.
- >What?
- >"Thank ya kindly sir, not a minute too soon either, there's another stampede heading straight fer ponyville."
- "What?"
- >"You heard! Come'on Get! we gotta stop it!"
- >Applejack runs out of the barn, leaving you stood on top of a pile of hay.
- >That feel when you will NEVER kill yourself.
- >You slowly walk out of the barn and back toward ponyville, hands in pockets.
- >It was so close, yet... So far.
- >You make your way to the edge of ponyville and that when you can hear it. A thunderous sound.
- >It sounds like a thousand hoofs, all galloping toward ponyville. You were impressed with your description of what it sounded like.
- >That's exactly what it looked like.
- >A Torrent of cows running at high speed straight towards the town, dust in the wake of their movements.
- >You watch as all the terrified ponies hide inside their houses. Shutting windows and diving for cover.
- >Looking the other way you see Applejack trying to stop them, She lassos the front one and gets flung aside by the sheer force.
- >She's knocked on conscious. That's when you figure, you could probably throw yourself under the impending stampede.
- >The force would be enough to kill you straight.
- >Suddenly you break out into a mad sprint, heading straight into the path of the oncoming herd.
- >The herd nearing you open your arms and embrace death.
- >The herd are now only feet away, closing your eyes you smile to yourself. This was finally it.
