  1. The Fate of Anonymous. - 13 - Explanations -
  2.
  3. SWEETIE BELLS PERSPECTIVE
  4.
  5. >You had recently heard that Anon had been released from hospital.
  6. >Although today you was with the cutie mark crusaders.
  7. >"So I was thinking we could get our cutie marks in bear wrestling!"
  8. >Scootaloo. What the buck?
  9. >"Well ah was thinkin' we could get it in monsta hunting in the everfree!"
  10. >Applebloom. Are you girls trying to get us killed?
  11. "How about we do something not quite as dangerous?"
  12. >They both pout and look at you.
  13. >To be honest you'd rather be seeing what Anon was up to.
  14. >"Have any better plans?"
  15. >Actually...
  16. "We could always be... Human Historians!"
  17. >The both look weary at your idea. If this is to work than you need to make it sound fun.
  18. "Who knows, Maybe he has hidden treasure in a trap door or something!?"
  19. >That got their attention, they're both beaming right at you.
  20. >After a moment's pause the two fillies and yourself shout at the same time.
  21. "CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS HUMAN HISTORIANS! YAY!"
  22. >As the three of you rush out of the club house and towards Anon's house you can't help but smirk.
  23. >Just as planned...
  24.
  25. >You reach Anon's house and knock on the door.
  26. >"Mr. Anonymous! Mr. Anonymous! You in!?"
  27. >Appleblooms shouts are met by silence.
  28. "Guess he's not in."
  29. >You can't help but feel a little dejected.
  30. >"Let's go inside and have a look!"
  31. >The three of you walk into Anon's house and immediately begin searching
  32. >You search high and low for what feels like hours.
  33. >Finding nothing of value.
  34. >That is until you spot a diary on the kitchen table.
  35. >You open it and begin to read.
  36. >But... Wait...
  37. >It doesn't make any sense.
  38. >After reading the first page you're left in a complete state of shock
  39. >as such don't even notice Scooterloo and Applebloom at the door of the house.
  40. >"Come on Sweetie Bell, let's go. There's nothing here."
  41. >"Yeah! We can go and find a Monsta to fight in tha everfree!"
  42. >You quickly slip the diary in your saddlebag before they turn around to look at you.
  43. "I-I'm fine girls. I'm.. going to wait here for Anon. You go on without me."
  44. >The two fillies shrug and leave the house leaving you to your own devices.
  45.
  46. >Once the fillies leave you pull out the diary and being to intently read on.
  47. >You don't understand it though.
  48. >Why would Anon want to do these things.
  49. >Why would he want to kill himself?
  50. >You keep reading on.
  51. >You read of his exploits jumping in front of the cows.
  52. >You read about him going back in time to kill himself.
  53. >Page after page of this horrifying book is read.
  54. >Your eyes water.
  55. >You can't help it. Anon was a friend.
  56. >He was this bad the whole time?
  57. >How could you not know?
  58. >How could he want to?
  59. >You read in the book about something called a "gun"
  60. >You pick yourself up from the floor and go to his bedroom.
  61. >Sure enough, in his bedside drawer there was a device that you'd never seen before.
  62. >Apparently this would kill him.
  63. >No.
  64. >No you wouldn't allow that.
  65. >You hide the gun in your saddle bag and lay on Anon's bed.
  66. >Clutching the diary and crying even harder now, you can't work it out.
  67. >You jump a little bit when you hear a cough come from the doorway.
  68. >Through your blurry vision you're able to make out Anon.
  69. >You have so many questions to ask. Although one dominates the forefront of your mind and finds its way out of your mouth.
  70. "Why?"
  71.
  72. ANONS PERSPECTIVE
  73.
  74. >This was not the sort of shit you wanted to be dealing with.
  75. >This filly seems to know exactly what to say to hit you hard.
  76. >Why?
  77. >Never has one word ever cut so deep as before.
  78. >The white filly remained on your bed, bawling her eyes out.
  79. >She's able to repeat herself although you can feel anger behind the words this time.
  80. >"..Why!? WHY!?"
  81. >You don't know what to say.
  82. >What could you possibly say?
  83. "Sweetie bell, I..."
  84. >You what?
  85. >You can't go on the defensive, so go on the offensive.
  86. "What are you doing in my house?"
  87. >She gives you a look as if your stupid.
  88. >The white filly throws the diary to the ground in anger.
  89. >She begins to approach you with an untold confidence.
  90. >"B-but, WHY. I-I don't understand! Why would you try to do these things!?"
  91. >Going on the offensive won't work either.
  92. >Why do you even care?
  93. >It's not like you plan on being around very long.
  94. "Sweetie bell. Go home."
  95. >"No. I'm not leaving you!"
  96. "I said go home. It's getting late."
  97. >"Not until you tell me why anon!"
  98. "SWEETIE BELL! GO HOME!"
  99. >"NO!"
  100. >Sweetie bell sits on her haunches.
  101. >She starts screeching like a banshee
  102. >'I swear to god this is about to become a murder/suicide.'
  103. >Easy anon, she's just a filly.
  104. "Fine."
  105. >She arc's her head up expecting an explanation as to your actions over the last couple of weeks.
  106. >Her face turned to one of disappointment when you turn around and walk back down stairs.
  107. >You think you still have some Applejack Daniels in the cupboard.
  108. >You reach the kitchen and pour yourself a glass, before downing it in one.
  109.
  110. >laying down on your couch you close your eyes.
  111. >Minutes later you hear the sounds of hooves trotting down the stairs.
  112. >Sweetie bell seems to have composed herself somewhat.
  113. >You don't bother opening your eyes before you speak.
  114. "I'm not explaining anything. You might as well leave."
  115. >"Why not..."
  116. >The most cliché line in the world.
  117. "You wouldn't understand."
  118. >You probably could explain it.
  119. >Although that meant reliving past events
  120. >As well as probably completely destroying her childhood.
  121. >"I thought we were friends anon? But I read your diary and you.. Y-you.."
  122. >She begins to lose her composure again. Her voice cracking at the end.
  123. >She breaks down again and buries her face into your chest.
  124. >Her breaths deep and raspy in between sobs.
  125. >You interject with words that you know she wants to hear.
  126. "We are friends.. it's just..."
  127. >You pause, trying to find the right words. Any words to solve this situation.
  128. >You instead find the next best thing. Looking outside for inspiration you notice the distinct lack of daylight.
  129. "Let's go get some air. Sound good?"
  130. >Sweetie bell slowly nods as you sit up off the couch.
  131. >You throw on a jacket that Rarity was kind enough to make for you.
  132. >Charged you for it though. Apparently even in this world good will has its limits.
  133. >As you and sweetie bell walk down the road you allow yourself a brief moment to reflect.
  134. >You do however keep it brief, as you recollect the countless reasons for the ending of your life.
  135.
  136. >Every known and again you heard a stifled cry come from the little filly.
  137. >After the initial shock of finding her you was numb to the events.
  138. >However walking in the light breeze that traverses the air around you had cleared your head.
  139. >Now with every sniffle you felt a pang in your chest.
  140. >As if you had just been told again that dad had...... You give a deep audible sigh
  141. >You notice that through your aimless walk you've ended up next to the Ponyville lake.
  142. >You walk towards the lake, ushering sweetie bell with you.
  143. >She obliges and you sit down next to the lake and take in the night sky.
  144. >The stars where so much brighter here than back on earth.
  145. >Almost as if they held the hopes and dreams of all those that gaze upon them.
  146. >Fuelled by the pureness in their hearts and minds.
  147. >You cast aside your frown and replace it with a small, but still viable smile.
  148. >You look over to sweetie bell sat next to you. She had been trying her best to stay calm.
  149. >She looks straight into your eyes, almost searching through your very soul itself.
  150. >Delving deep within to find the answers she so desperately craved.
  151. >She goes to speak although you interrupt before she's even begun.
  152. "It's a nice night out, isn't it?"
  153. >She closes her mouth and looks out to the shimmering body of water that engulfs the immediate area in front of her.
  154. >The moon, dancing on the small ripples caused by the wildlife.
  155. >"Why do you want to... Die?"
  156.
  157. >You lean backwards, falling softly on your hands as you stare at the moon.
  158. "I don't."
  159. >"But the diary!"
  160. "Only records the actions, not the meaning behind them."
  161. >"Wha?"
  162. >Sweetie Bell looks at you confused.
  163. >That probably did go over her head. After all she's still young.
  164. >"But, it said..."
  165. >Her sentence trails off and she tries to put the pieces together.
  166. >You close your eyes exhale. Drawing another breath you begin to talk in a soothing tone.
  167. "Sweetie Bell, have you ever given any thought about where I came from?"
  168. >She ponders the question for a minute, letting it spin around her thoughts before answering.
  169. >"Not really."
  170. "Well, where I came from... It was.. It wasn't a very nice place."
  171. >You open your eyes as you haul yourself back up. Making sure your message is received.
  172.   "I'm not looking to die. I'm just looking for peace."
  173. >Which death would provide, granted.
  174. >"I-I don't understand."
  175. >You take note of how tranquil the water on the lake is at the moment and have a stroke of genius.
  176. "It's simple, I want to be like this."
  177. >You gesture to the scene in front of you.
  178. >"You... want to be a lake?"
  179. >Seriously?
  180. >Is this Filly Serious?
  181. >oh lawd she's serious.
  182. >You give a small chuckle and ruffle her mane.
  183. "No no, I want to be calm, relaxed."
  184.
  185. "I don't want to have to worry about anything anymore, or deal with the bad stuff."
  186. >Sweetie bell seems to be getting the picture now.
  187. >The moon is already high in the night sky.
  188. >It must be pretty late by now. Surely Rarity would be getting worried?
  189. "It's late. We should really get you back home."
  190. >You stand up and motion for her to follow you.
  191. >She just stares at you blankly not moving.
  192. "Come on. Not this again."
  193. >"I'll come if you promise me."
  194. "Promise you what?"
  195. >Her eyes that were drying up are now already watering.
  196. >"Promise me you'll still be around tomorrow."
  197. >Not if you can help it.
  198. >Although lying would probably be the better idea.
  199. "I promise sweetie bell."
  200. >"Pinkie promise?"
  201. >You look at your little finger.
  202. >How the fuck do they have pinkie promises?
  203. >You close your right hand into a fist and hold out your pinkie.
  204. "I Pinkie Promise!"
  205.
  206. >She looks at your hands curiously before producing the faintest of smiles.
  207. "There we go! That's the filly I know!"
  208. >You ruffle her mane a little bit and she giggles.
  209. >God damn it that giggle was adorable.
  210. >You lift yourself off the ground.
  211. >Taking in the night air you breath out a sigh of relief.
  212. >You've just averted a serious disaster.
  213. >Give yourself a pat on the back anon.
  214. >'Well, This was kind of your fault for allowing yourself to get into this sorry state.'
  215. >Come on man, Just give yourself this one.
  216. >'Nope'
  217. >Noting the moons position in the sky above you guess at the time.
  218. "Come on Sweetie bell, I'll walk you home."
  219. >Taking a lethargic walk with sweetie bell at your side back to the carousel boutique you ponder to yourself.
  220. >The walk was in silence for the most part.
  221. >Everything had already been said and done.
  222. >You reach the boutique to find the mane six all rushing out.
  223. >TWI:"Alright girls, if we split up we can narrow it down faster! Rainbow Dash you fly above and see if you can spot her. Pinkie you can... Pinkie?"
  224. "GAAHH!"
  225. >In a scintillating explosion of pink hair pinkie pie is millimetres away from your eyes.
  226. >You stumble backwards and fall straight onto a sharp rock.
  227. "FUUUUUU-"
  228. >You restrain yourself from finishing the sentence with sweetie bell present.
  229. >Instead you roll onto your front and rest your face in the dirt.
  230.
  231. >"I found her! I found her! I found her! I found her! I found her!"
  232. >Rarity rushes over to the stunned sweetie bell, trampling you in the process.
  233. "Grrhphgl-"
  234. >You are hardly able to make a complaint with a face full of dirt.
  235. >She sweeps up the little filly in one fell swoop. Clasping her into a near death grip hug.
  236. >"SWEETIE BELL! OH SWEETIE, I was so WORRIED, where HAVE you been!?"
  237. >You attempt to stand, although much to your dismay the others soon joined Rarity.
  238. >You get trampled by Twilight, Applejack and Fluttershy. being able to do nothing more than groan ineffectively.
  239. >"Well, actually I was at Anon's house. He walked me back."
  240. >They all look around curiously, trying to find you.
  241. >TWI:"Where is Anon?"
  242. >RD:"Errr, Twi? You might wanna try looking juuuust behind you."
  243. >The three ponies spin around and gasp in unison at your trampled body.
  244. >Twilight uses her magic to lift you out of the dirt and face the ponies.
  245. >Everything hurts.
  246. >Steadying yourself your able to stand under your own weight.
  247. >Ponies weren't too heavy, but being shocked by one and trampled by four takes its toll.
  248. "T-Thank you?"
  249. >TWI:"Sweetie bell tells us she was with you?"
  250. "Yes, we was..."
  251. >You look at her, then back to twilight.
  252. "Hanging out, Yeah, after going to the park I got home and she had knocked at my house..."
  253. >The ponies raise their eye brows in suspicion.
  254. "Then we played a few games and she read one of my stories I keep at home"
  255. >Sweetie bell shoots you a glare that could kill any other man.
  256. "...We just sorta lost track of time, so then I brought her back here."
  257. >Badpokerface.jpg
  258.
  259. >They just stare at you.
  260. >You stare back.
  261. >This is a battle of wills.
  262. >You can't be the first to break.
  263. >You won't be the first to break.
  264. >You couldn't be the first to break.
  265. >Yo-
  266. "WELL IT'S GETTING PRETTY LATE I SHOULD GET GOING NOW SPEAK TO YOU SOON EVERYONE BYE!
  267. >Before words can be ushered from anypony's lips you're racing out of there with a speed untold of in human history.
  268. >It was a brisk run back to your house, making it there in good time you decide to call it a night.
  269. >You go through the normal routines, brushing teeth, using the toilet, changing into just your underwear.
  270. >Climbing into bed you open up your bedside cabinet. Reaching inside you find.. Nothing.
  271. >Oh god what?
  272. >You search becomes more and more frantic as you don't find the revolver.
  273. >Jumping out of bed you begin your chaotic search.
  274. ...
  275.  >Sweetie bell opens her saddle bag and pulls out the object Anon described in his diary.
  276. >Without this he wouldn't be able to kill himself.
  277. >At least that's what she could make out.
  278. >Still, she wondered how it works.
  279. >Analytically she pull the gun to eye level and looks down the chamber.
  280. >It looks like there's something down there.
  281. >Her attention turns to the finger sized trigger.
  282. >Her hooves were too big to pull it, so she got a pencil out from her school bag.
  283. >Carefully she held the gun in her hooves and put the pencil on the trigger with her mouth.
  284. >The barrel points straight at her head, she slowly moved her head down.
  285. >The pencil pushed the trigger on the gun down.
  286. ...
  287. >A loud noise from Ponyville causes you to stop your turbulent search.
  288. >Something terrible has happened.
