>Thank Celestia, finally they're running away

>The mane six gallop back where they came from

>The masked figure doesn't seem to be so happy about that

>Well, you don't give a damn about his opinion

>Taking a defensive stance you await him

>He started to run at you, his eyes fixed on your friends

>You lunge out but he just grabs your head and pushes you to the ground

>He doesn't take notice of you and get's closer to Rarity who is the slowest of them

>Grabbing her hind legs he throws her to the ground

>You get up and dash at them but stop suddenly

>He rose and dragged her up with himself, holding her hand locked in his arms

>"Don't move or you'll regret it!

>You don't care much about yourself but you don't want to put Rarity in harm's way

>He keeps silent for a while as if he's thinking through something

>Eventually he raises his head and answers

>"You're right! I won't harm her. But I wonder how you're going to act if she's the one to come after you!"

>He laughs and touches her forehead with his hand

>The fear in Rarity's eyes is indescribable

>"Why you-! Anooon! Help me!"

>Slowly the masked one disappears

>His body turns into some kind of dust and invades Rarity's head

>You run at her as she faints and falls to the ground

>You're fast enough to catch her in mid-air

>She opens her eyes carefully

>Her azure blue eyes are surrounded by a green sphere

Ra-Rarity! Come to your senses!

>Rarity's eyes fix on Twilight and she snarls at her

>With this she tries to assault Twilight

>The next moment Dash and AJ hold her down, giving Twilight the opportunity to cast a spell on her

>Twi's eyes start to glow and as the tip of her horn touches Rarity's the eyes of the two of them glow

>After a few seconds Twilight retreats, huffing with exhaustion, and Rarity's body goes slack once again

>All of you turn around in a split second

>The mysterious figure stands right behind you with his arms folded

>"What have you done to her? I just cast a memory spell on her, because she acted like she'd forgotten who she is!"

>And again he charges at you

>Where does he take that strength?

>And again you have to defeat your friends

>They're frozen on place and if you don't do anything they'll get hurt

>And your savior is none other than Cordan

>The next few minutes the masked figure fights again Cordan

>The mere force would have been enough to crack your skull open

>The mysterious figure dodged his attack and runs at him with the knife raised in an amateur way

>He gets bucked in his chest and falls to the ground not moving anymore

>Cordan turns around

>"The six of you! Get your elements and seal him away!"

>All of them nod and Twilight hands out the elements of harmony she brought with her

>This can't be it. Minutes ago this man was an unbeatable obstacle and now he got defeated?

>You look at his corpse

>He's still holding the knife

>Great Celestia... it's a trap!!! He'll stand up just like before!

>You try to warn Cordan who is talking to the mares but you are unable to speak

>The words he mumbled into your ears ... he cursed you with silence!

>You start to run

>You have to warn him before he get's injured!

>Time slows down as adrenaline starts to pump through your system

>The others recognized you running at them and turn around

>Their faces change into a shocked expression

>But they aren't looking at you

>They are looking behind you

>You turn around while running

>The man already got up and he is not aiming for Cordan

>He is aiming for you

>The knife flashes above your head

>Your opponent clearly never lost his strength, nor his speed. He was playing with you the whole time

>You take a last look forward

>It will be the last time you see your friends

>But ... Cordan is missing

>Cor already reacted and dashed at you

>He pushes you aside and the knife cuts deep into his neck

>Time speed up again

Cordan!

>Your friends look disgusted and shocked as the mysterious figure pulls the knife out

>Blood drips down from the blade

>"Hmpf, stupid horse."

>You can't believe what just happened

>And it was your fault

>How stupid can you be?!

>Anger boils up inside you

>Rage devours your system

>Why did he save you?! It was your stupidity which got you into this!

>Another innocent died ... in front of your friends' eyes

>You already got fooled twice

>But you got him this time. You're even able to speak again

>She nods and they start their special ceremony where they activate their elements and a giant rainbow defeats the evil

>They took notice of his mask in your hands

>Twilight lays a hoof on your back and gives you an understanding and sad look

>"At least we defeated him."

>Never you had even thought of casualties once

>The whole ride went quietly and no one was in the mood to say something

>You are just happy to get back to Ponyville

>Hollow Shades is still a dump, crowded by criminals but you hope it will get better someday

>At least you got the one responsible for this mess

>Or you just hope so

>The first week in Ponyville was the worst one you've ever experienced

>Not one of your friends was in the mood to go out and spend some time together

>But eventually they got over it

>The only time you've met them since the incident was at Cordan's funeral

>It was nothing big but all the more depressing therefor

>Meanwhile you got promoted by Princess Celestia

>You're the head of Ponyville's security

>Work keeps you occupied so you don't have to think about Hollow Shades or Cordan

>It makes you feel even more guilty

>After this horrible first week your friends start to ask you out and to catch up amongst themselves

>Everything seems to take normal routine finally

>Even Fluttershy started again to wake you up in the morning, trying to guess your fetish

>But you hear something else besides his laughter

>A soft but steady knocking

>You rise in a sitting position and inhale sharply

>Sweaty and panting you sit in your bed

>Bright and warm morning light already invades your bedroom
