- ________Continued from AiE 1-Hunted___________
- As you nearly stumble into the all white room, the door slams behind you. The loud noise gets you to turn your head back.
- You rush over and *click* lock the deadbolt
- You’re safe
- For now
- As you walk around the room you call out for assistance
- “Hello? Is anyone there…please help!”
- No one rejoins
- You keep looking around for maybe another door or hall but you find nothing
- You look for any windows or stairs…again, no luck but you do hear something
- It’s faint
- It doesn’t have a source, it surrounds you
- Slowly it’s building
- A dull hum
- Getting louder
- You cover your ears
- It keeps getting louder and louder
- The room begins to light up- you shield your eyes leaving your ears exposed
- The bright lights, the noise, and now the room is shaking-violently
- Your body wasn’t ready
- You begin to throw up, but nothing comes out
- You’re stumbling, blinded, deaf- you curl up into a tight ball on the floor, hoping for it to go away
- Finally, at the cresendo- the lights dim and the noise cuts out. No more shaking.
- After a minute of waiting in the fetal position you deem it safe to get up-big mistake
- The lights flash back on, the drone is louder, and the room shakes more violently than ever before… in all the commotion you black out.
- Your eyes burst open to another blinding light, this one is more natural though, the sun…
- Off in the distance you hear some shouting: even if they are coming after you, you at least have your hearing… you noticed the shaking has stopped to.
- In fact, you notice a lot- you aren’t in that room anymore
- A quick scan of your surroundings shows that you are in a barn: the light coming in from a hole in the room…and the second floor… you hold your back and feel it bruised
- “was that me that put that hole up there?” you mutter to yourself
- You try to push off the ground to get up, only to find yourself on a pile of hay.
- The shouting gets louder- it isn’t angry shouting- more like a tone of concern
- Still frightened from your run in with the school kids, you decide to burrow down into the hay stack- you are too disoriented and scared to care about pieces of straw getting all over your clothes.
- By the time you finished nestling into the pile, the barn door’s latch is lifted and is thrown open: you see it, but you don’t believe it… a small pony, no higher than your knee stands centered in the frame.
- Your mind races
- “how did that pony open that door…” you think
- the filly calls out “hello?”
- filly calls out
- calls out
- a pony just spoke
- “I must be dreaming” you whisper to yourself
- the red haired pony whips her head around-she heard something
- off the wall of the barn the pony grabs a pitch fork in it’s mouth- it’s a bit thrown off by the weight, but it quickly adjusts, holding it in a war-like manner.
- “comf outh” she sputters, the farm tool obstructs her mouth, “I know ya’ in ere thomewhere”
- Your mind is racing: “If I come out, she’ll kill me, if I hide, she’ll find me…then kill me!”
- Not to many options, thanks for staying optimistic brain…
- You opt to plead to the filly, maybe…just maybe it can understand you
- “Please” you meekly reply, “don’t hurt me”
- as you mutter the words you stand up, exposing yourself from the hay stack
- the little pony screams
- shrieks
- wails, like a banshee
- “ ista’ alien! Kill it, kill it!” she cries as she runs out of the barn dropping the rusted farm tool to the hard dirt floor.
- “Whoa there sugarcube” you hear, the filly stops a little outside the barn
- You can hear another voice, one from a much older sounding thing, maybe a person?
- The shadow from the mystery being confirms the opposite, it’s just another talking pony
- Just another talking pony
- …
- Except this one is bigger-now, you are really scared.
- “Applejack, this weird monkey thang that’s a hiding was what fell into the barn-it tried ta eat me, but I esca-“
- “Calm down there ya’ silly filly, let me see what you are yammerin’ about!”
- Both of them enter the barn, but by this time you had slithered back into the stack of hay, hoping the little one would forget where you were.
- “He was right on that there hay stack AJ!”
- the tension makes you shake with fear
- you are almost catatonic, with each step closer you shake more
- “I see something a movin’ applebloom, stay here while I take a looksee.”
- In your mind you are as good as dead
- That little pony tried to attack me with a pitchfork, who knows what this one would do, bust my head in with it’s hoof? - you’re eyes are watering up-it’s judgment day for you
- Through the pieces of hay you see the blond pony approach you- she starts pulling the hay away, exposing your face to both of them
- “Mother of Celestia, what is that!”
- now you start to plead
- “God don’t hurt me please, I didn’t mean to hurt your barn orscareapplebloomorcauseanytrouble and…” you are rambling off apology after apology after apology
- Applejack, the big orange one, is taken aback by your ability to speak
- “well I’ll be, it can talk! It looks like this’n is no dummy… come on out from in there”
- you quickly follow her order, not wanting to anger this thing- applebloom jumps back- you are taller then both had imagined.
- “ My goodness, what in tarnation are ya’?”
- you try to say your name but you are too terrified to be coherent.
- “Well? I said what are ya’, aren’t you gonna answer me?”
- “I-I-I’m A-Anon” you mumble
- “I can’t hear ya’ sugarcube!”
- “I’m Anon” you say with more gusto
- “I’ve never heard of an Anon before, have you applebloom?”
- “I’m not an Anon, I am Anon- it’s my name. I’m a human being!”
- “That’s a mighty weird thing to be if you ask me AJ” grumbles applebloom
- You’re starting to think maybe the big one won’t hurt you, but you have your eyes trained on this…applebloom
- “ That’s no way to treat our guest here applebloom, you tell Big Mac that I’m on my way to twilight's, I think she’ll be able to help out this… human…bean”
- “being” you utter
- “Fine” Applebloom hisses as she heads back to the field
- “We’ll have you fixed up, acquainted, and cleaned in no time Anon, follow me to see Twilight, she’ll be able to answer a lot of questions that I’m assuming ya’ have, oh and by the way, you can call me Applejack, Aj for short.”
- Applejack heads out of the barn and starts towards a long path towards a small town
- Twilight could answer your questions, questions… you had a hundred, no a thousand…scratch that, a million. The pain in your back and being in such a strange land puts you in no position to protest or complain- you follow Applejack down the dirt path into the outskirts of the village albeit a good twenty steps behind…just in case.
