- AiE: A yarn spun by the omnipotent and all knowing pastebinner Sweetiebot
- A slip and a fall was all it would take for them to grab you, they were that close behind
- Your breath had become short- these guys had stamina you weren’t prepared for
- Running through the streets and back alleys had put a strain on you physically and mentally- you desperately tried to think up a way to escape your pursuers while simultaneously evading their grasp.
- This wasn’t the first time
- It would be the last
- Ever since you moved into the heart of the Bronx, you had been the target
- The scapegoat.
- Prey.
- The bullies hadn’t waited for school to let out before they tried beating you to a pulp this time- you bolted from classroom twenty minutes into 5th period- no point in going back now
- You tried to think up escape routes but your brain focused on action: Enough thinking for now, you had to get out of there.
- They seemed to be closing in when you felt your foot slip
- The asphalt, chipped into gravel-sized pieces after years of wear and tear offered no traction
- You had to turn down the alley; it was the only way to stay ahead
- But you knew in your mind…it was a dead end
- You tried running anyways but slammed into the brick wall. The guffaws of terror from the bullies frightened you enough to turn around and face them, that’s when you spotted it.
- Time slowed down as the three kids begin their approach, you saw the door leading into the building but didn’t believe it.
- Hadn’t you passed by this alley before?
- Of course you have
- But before there wasn’t a door.
- You took a chance that someone, anyone was inside that could help you escape the trio.
- The door’s position required you move towards the three- the motion confused them for half a second… all the time you needed.
- You just prayed to god the door was open.
- The cool metal handle was first caressed, then choked by your clammy hand- you pulled hard and it flies open- inside is a pure white room, again, a new site for this part of the town
- Having only one other horrible, painful option, you decide to dart inside- much to the surprise of the thugs. Only later on in your adventure would you find out they couldn’t see the door, or the room, just you disappearing into a solid brick wall.
- One was so freaked out that he was put on medication, the others just talked to the councilor. Friends and schoolmates were taken by surprise about your disappearance, but after a few days, they seemed indifferent.
- Your parents were the ones who took it the hardest- you were never seen again…
