  36. Ghost
  37. I was in the SAS, British Special Forces. I was like any other there, but a day came when I got a call, from one General Shepherd.
  38. >clenches fists and grumbles under his breath
  39. He was assembling a team of some of the finest soldiers on the planet, known as Task Force 141. Man, you wouldn't believe some'a the shit we got up to. The main purpose of this was to take down a Russian Ultranationalist terrorist responsible for tricking the entire of Russia into war with the US by means of a massacre of their own people.
  40. For the most part, it was me, Roach, Price and Soap against the world. Before long, that became true.
  41. Me, Roach and a squad of TF 141 soldiers assaulted his safehouse on the Georgia-Russian border, trying to recover a DSM full of sensitive info. We only just made it out of the forest. Roach went down, firing as much as he could at the tangos just pouring out of the trees. The whole thing's still fresh in my memory...
  42. >shells falling left, right and center, dirt flying everywhere
  43. "I've got you Roach, hang on!"
  44. >throws a handful of markers into the forest

  48. "Thunder 2-1, cleared hot!"
  49. >"Roger that, cleared hot."
  50. >Little Bird hovers low, miniguns in full spin, pumping round after round after round into the trees.
  51. >Roach is fading
  52. "Roach, hang in there!!"
  53. >Roach blacks out
  54. "Come on, get up!!!"
  55. >I help him to his feet, as consciousness returns
  56. "Get up, get up, we're almost there!"
  57. >PaveLow lands, hangar door drops down, Shepherd waiting inside. A welcome sight.
  58. >"Cover them, move, move!"
  59. >Soldiers emerge, covering our approach, safety at last!
  60. >"Do you have the DSM?"
  61. "We got it, Sir!"
  62. >"Good. That's one less loose end."
  63. >Shepherd brings out his .44, and Roach falls.
  64. "NO!!!"
  65. >I scramble for my gun as hastily as possible
  66. >I see the flash, hear the bang, but I feel nothing.
  67.
  68. >Slowly, I open my eyes to find myself in a giant white room.
  69. >Approached by a large, quadrupedal figure, undiscernable as to race or figure, vision still blurry as the adrenaline rushes out of my veins.
  70. >"Welcome, Ghost. I take it I was just in time?"
  71. "..."
  72. "..."
  73. "I nearly 'ad the bastard."
  74.
  75. And that's how. I got no idea what happened after, or is happening now, seeing as I don't know where, or rather, when we are. I just hope Price and Soap get what needs to be done, done.
  76. Godspeed, you magnificent sods.

  254. He is constantly in conflict with himself as to why he accepted coming to Equestria in the first place. A new life, a chance to do some good for once, or something all together...

  289. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Silvercreep:
  290. Born and trained as a military operator, Natalia had spent most of her childhood learning to fight. In defense and offense, Natalia built her body around the pain and suffering of the hardest training the military could give her. Watched under the eye of her companion and operation lead, Natalia would always try to best him, both in armed and unarmed combat, failing to do so each time, despite her speed advantage.
  291. "You let yourself become soft to your opponents." he had said once "When you engage, you engage hard and fast without remorse, its either you or them in such a fight."
  292.
  293. Natalia continued to train, even operating with her lead unit as the two would conduct missions not suited for larger teams; assassinations, rescue missions, even defense with regular troops. Through it all, she grew attach to her Lead, even referring to him as Onii-chan.
  294.
  295. One evening however, when all was quiet and peaceful, the compound the pair were at suddenly came under siege by a numerical superior foe backed up by heavy fire-power. Out-manned and outgunned, the defenders were eventually overwhelmed before Natalia and her commander were holding off the invaders from the command room, only to have a stray artillery shell strike down on the spot they defended.
  296. Natalia was unscathed, but her commander's legs were blown clear off. As the enemy advanced through the destruction, Natalia's lead drew out a detonator. "Go..." he said weakly "Get yourself out of-" "Not without you!" she exclaimed, holding close as she started to feel tears down her cheek and the Lead sighed "We go together I guess... till the end." he said... and pressed he button.
  297. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  298. Hines -
  299. >I frown
  300. "Way I see it, you would've done better working for the government in Rwanda. Bastards never passed up an opportunity to wipe something out."
  301. >I stare into the fire for a moment, and the realization hits me.
  302. "Including me. That's it, isn't it? I'm dead. WE'RE dead."
  303.
  304. Leatherhoff-
  305. >takes a sip of rum
  306. Well, I didn't die. I would have known if a five hundred pound slab of concrete had landed on me. I didn't feel anything, just a slight nervous sensation when I realized I wasn't dead.
  307.
  308. Swe - >swigs the last of my whiskey.
  309. Hell, now to think of it,shrapnel trough the chest doesn't hurt that much either.
  310.
  311. >looks down at camp fire, sticks hand out for warmth
  312. Yeah... What do you think, Case?
  313.
  314. HollowCase -
  315. >Hastily scribbles in his notebook
  316. The last thing I remember were the weird people who took care of me putting a gun to my head, I never saw them pull the trigger.
  317. >Scribbles again
  318. Also, I didn't see the princess, I just appeared in the middle of nowhere at first
  319.
  320. Ghost -
  321. I don't care that I died anymore. I just hope it was worth it. I hope Soap and Price put an end to that bastard.
  322.
  323. Sapper J -
  324. "All I remember is seeing the damn Hummer3 that was about to tbone me at an intersection. Red means stop jackass.."
  325. >lean back. Look up at the alien constellations above us.
  326. "Come to think of it, I don't remember the impact either."
  327.
  328. Sprog -
  329. I remember an explosion, but nothing much else. Maybe I got pulled right before the trauma? Or maybe that's why I woke up in the hospital instead of the throne room or whatever.
  330. -------------
  331. Gas Man
  332. >>Chilling in the Gas Cave
  333. >>Yes I lived in a cave.
  334. >>I was comfortable, I had been for a while.
  335. >>It was really bad after the happening, but things had calmed down a bit.
  336. >>Everybody had their turf now, so long as you could keep it.
  337. >>Mine was all mine. Nobody messed with the Gas Man.
  338. >>That’s what they all called me, I guess it stuck.
  339. >>The last guy who came after my stuff was still propped up outside. Thought he was real clever with his gas mask.
  340. >>He couldn’t see in the gas though. Not like me. The Gas loves me.
  341. >>I see all in The Gas.
  342. >>I have special eyes.
  343. >>I split his mask with one of my Gaschetes. (That’s a machete blessed by The Gas. Very technical term.)
  344. >>Didn’t scratch him, just split the mask in two, letting The Gas have its’ way.
  345. >>He started twitching and foaming at the mouth.
  346. >>I walked him over to a tree and duck taped him to it. He didn’t fight back. Not that he could.
  347. >>The Gas provides. The Gas protects. The Gas loves.
  348. >>As I said, I was now relaxing in the Gas Cave.
  349. >>I was on the Gasputer, reminiscing.
  350. >>The internet was gone, but I still had pictures. From before.
  351. >>My wife. My child. My home. All of it was gone now.
  352. >>Now I just had The Gas.
  353. >>The void left by my old life had been filled by The Gas. But that’s what The Gas does, it fills the space it’s given.
  354. >>I decided to call it a night.
  355. >>I went to the back of the Gas Cave and stepped down into the depression that housed the Gas Bed.
  356. >>I reached down to caress the secret hidden beneath the Gas Bed.
  357. >>The Gas Tank.
  358. >>My prized possession, a 500 gallon liquid propane tank I brought to the cave a few months after the happening. When I truly accepted The Gas.
  359. >>What an adventure that was. Scrounging gasoline, finding a truck to haul it, heavy machinery to load it, all the while fighting off the nutjobs still carving out niches in the new world.
  360. >>But finally I had it and, as if by The Gas’ will, the massive hole in the back of the Gas Cave held it perfectly.
  361. >>It now housed The Gas. The sweet toxic holiness that provided, protected, and loved.
  362. >>My intimate moment with the Gas Tank was interrupted by movement out of the corner of my eye.
  363. >>From my place lying in the depression, I could look out right at floor level.
  364. >>I heard a light skittering sound, and saw swift movement in the corner of my eye.
  365. >>The beast was back.
  366. >>It had been taunting me for as long as I had lived in the Gas Cave.
  367. >>Defiling my food stores, destroying my papers, and touching the holy Gas Tank.
  368. >>Above all, the abomination resisted The Gas.
  369. >>No matter what glorious fumes and plumes I released, the beast survived.
  370. >>It was unholy. An abomination created by the horrors of the happening.
  371. >>Tonight we ended our long dance. Tonight I was ready.
  372. >>I would help myself tonight. The Gas was my savior, but I was still a man.
  373. >>I placed the bait at the edge of the depression in which I lay. An ancient cheese puff.
  374. >>I waited.
  375. >>The light skittering came closer. Oh how softly it moved, obviously not weighed down by the evil in its’ heart.
  376. >>The cheese puff began to slightly shake, and was suddenly pulled from sight!
  377. >>I slowly sat up, as not to alarm the beast, and I beheld it.
  378. >>I swear, this cockroach was at LEAST two inches long.
  379. >>I scowled at the beast as it feasted on my offering.
  380. >>I raised my Gaschetes and spoke “Enjoy your last meal unholy vermin. Tonight I wipe your Gas rejecting taint from the world.”
  381. >>I brought both Gaschetes down with a thunderous clang. Sparks flew from the force of the metal on the stone floor of the Gas Cave.
  382. >>The vile beast was gone!
  383. >>I looked around, and found it on the edge of the depression, just BEHIND me.
  384. >>This foul creature didn’t even respect the laws of space it moved so quickly!
  385. >>With a roar I whirled and brought the Gaschetes down again in a hail of sparks. Only to find the beast had moved again, taking another position on the edge of the depression.
  386. >>This creature was toying with me.
  387. >>Something snapped.
  388. >>I let forth a bloodcurdling scream of hatred and sorrow as I wildly struck at the beast.
  389. >>Sparks cascaded as I struck again and again, every time only to find the beast safely staring at me.
  390. >>For how long this continued I do not know. I whirled and spun like a dervish, my blades an extension of my hatred for this creature.
  391. >>Sparks showered me, the Gas Bed, and down into the depression itself.
  392. >>Finally, I tired. Body drenched in sweat, blades battered to dullness, and my spirit simply broken, I fell onto the Gas Bed.
  393. >>I looked to see the beast sitting next to my face, staring.
  394. >>I wept, and I drifted off to dreamless slumber.
  395. >>I woke some time later to what I thought was an earthquake.
  396. >>The Gas Bed was shaking violently.
  397. >>I also smelled smoke… and was extremely hot.
  398. >>I opened my eyes to see flames jetting up all around me from below.
  399. >>From the bottom of the depression, from around the Gas Tank.
  400. >>The sparks from my battle with the beast…
  401. >>For years I had swept my detritus and hair into the depression.
  402. >>(With hair as long as mine, that’s a LOT of hair.)
  403. >>A stray spark must have found the bone dry pile of hair, skin cells, dust, and wrappers I had pushed out of sight.
  404. >>The Gas Bed continued to shake as the Gas Tank strained and groaned under the stress.
  405. >>Already stored under intense pressure, The Gas was surely trying to escape its’ rapidly heating prison.
  406. >>Being in a stone depression, I knew the only way for it to escape was through the top of the Gas Tank… and through me.
  407. >>I lay on the Gas Bed, and decided not to move.
  408. >>This was the Will of The Gas.
  409. >>I had disrespected it, abandoned it. My pride had pushed me to battle the beast alone, and I was being punished.
  410. >>I deserved this.
  411. >>I looked at the cave roof above me. If I wasn’t disintegrated by the blast, I would be propelled into the stone surface with enough force to reduce me to a fine red mist.
  412. >>I looked to my side, through the flames, and saw the beast, standing some distance back.
  413. >>”Goodbye,” I said.
  414. >>In that instant the Gas Tank blew.
  415. >>In the fractions of a second I survived as I hurtled upward to my doom, I remember the foul toxins of The Gas caressing me.
  416. >>My skin burned, my eyes wept, I could feel my mind go numb as The Gas entered my very being.
  417. >>And suddenly I was in a courtyard.
  418. >>I was fully dressed and kitted out.
  419. >>The Gaschetes were sharper than ever, and I could feel the weight of supplies in my backpack.
  420. >>Before me stood a radiant figure.
  421. >>Princess Celestia herself.
  422. >>Memories flooded back. Of humor and good times before the happening.
  423. >>I spied the sun on her flank, and it suddenly all made sense.
  424. >>I fell to my knees and exclaimed “Praise The Gas!”
  425. >>She was of the sun. Of the stars. Of the most basic, pure and holy of Gasses.
  426. >>She was the Princess of Hydrogen, a servant of The Gas itself!
  427. >>The Gas punished me with death, but obviously I still had a chance. A chance to redeem myself.
  428. >>I pledged my loyalty to the Lady of Hydrogen and pledged to serve with all of my being.
  429. >>I was taken to other humans, you folks, all soldiers in their own way, as I suppose I am.
  430. >>I’m sure The Gas has plans for you too, even if you don’t know it, my friends.

  432. Dr. Novus
  433. >Foundation ship crossing the atlantic containing Keter Class SCP XXXX to containment site XXX
  434. > I, Dr. Novus am in charge of transporting the subject to the site
  435. >Containment of A 1 FT thick titanium10x10 meter wide cell is holding.
  436. > Nearing some island, out on the coast as i walk across the main deck of the ship, the large 8 inch guns tower next to me.
  437. >Rumble resonates throughout the ship, i get a headache
  438. >Alarms start going off, I begin to race for the bridge
  439. >Crewman run past me as i make my way, all of them armed with rifles.
  440. >Get to the bridge, behind me my headache intensifies and an explosion is heard.
  441. >Captain hand me a rifle and we get into defensive positions
  442. >Ship shakes and a crunching noise is heard
  443. >Aww shit we hit the reef
  444. >Hear a bang, the ship shudders and suddenly im flying across the room, getting knocked out by the impact
  445. >Wake up lookig around. The solid steel doors to the bridge are gone, imbeded in the alloy wall across the room.
  446. >Crewmen lie everywhere, some just dead, others in bloody heaps or pieces
  447. >Grab the gun lying next to me, and head to my room which is next to the bridge, walking in i see my titanium case is untouched.
  448. >I head over to it, inserting the key and my retina is scanned, the case opens revealing my armor and weapons
  449. >I grab the armor and put it on quickly along with my mask, shoving the large amounts of explosives and nerve gas into my vest
  450. >Get up and head to the room the monsters cage was in, i can hopefully detonate the nuclear charge and save the rest of man.
  451. >Hallway down the hall i hear a roar from the other end of the ship, my headache begins to return.
  452. >Using my 1 claymore, i use it to cover my tracks as i head down into the ship
  453. >I hear the high powered land mine explode a while back, my head ache flashes hard for a second as the SCP screeches in pain, but not dead.
  454. >I begin to run, tossing behind a few of my gas grenades, hopefully that can slow it down.
  455. >"Our motto is to Secure, Contain, Protect" The words flash through my head, i could only do one right now, protect.
  456. >A stumbling sound is heard a few hallways behind along with feral coughing as it hits the deadly nerve gas, not so deadly to it.
  457. >I pulled out my grenade launcher, all 6 rounds are ready to be delivered, but before i dont that, i toss my tear gas grenades backwards at the bulkhead door.
  458. >I finally hit the room, its a mess with the titanium cage jutting out of some of the security teams bodies.
  459. >I spot the casing for the deadly bomb, running towards it as fast as i can, and hear a roar behind me as the creature i partially blinded by the tear gas for a moment, before sensing me and charging like a bull.
  460. >I fire backward with my Vector, the thing peppers him but it shrugs off the bullets and the sends me flying, thankfully closer to my target location. My headache is getting stronger...
  461. >The creature stops for a moment and suddenly my headache becomes a critical pain, knocking out most of my thoughts as it disrupts my head, it them charges me, picking me up and slamming me against the wall! Sending my grenade launcher flying aling with my basically useless vector.
  462. >My thoughts... Filled with scattered seperate, painful voices... The thing approaches for the kill. My body screams one thing and i dive onto the atomic bombs casing, pulling the pin on my high explosive grenade.
  463. >Everything flashes white, and i feel unscared... physically that is, my mind is filled with confusion and voices...
  464. >The light clears and I am standing infront of a large white winged and horn horse, Princess Celestia
  465. >I smile as she opens her mouth to speak, i have another chance at life.
