Your place is far too far to walk back to through this rain!", she had insisted, meekly >You couldn't argue with the shy girl, who clearly had no intention of budging >So, you made it back to her cottage, where her hens huddled together in their henhouse, and Fluttershy's bunny, Angel, sat in the window, awaiting dinner >After you both kicked off your wet, muddy boots, you were feeling like a useful houseguest, and offered to start the fire in the hearth >"Oh, thankyou Anon!" Fluttershy face glowed >While she went off to feed Angel, you struggled with the logs >How did she ever manage to do this on her own? >Fluttershy was hardly the most well-built girl you'd ever known >It took a couple of minutes, but eventually you managed to get a fire going >Right on cue, Fluttershy returned from the kitchen, closing the door behind her >"That's... fantastic!" she said, walking over to the fireplace. "You're so kind, Anon. Here, I brought you some tea... I thought you'd like it after our walk" >You didn't really like tea, but it was warm, and you were freezing >You sat down on the rug, cupping the teacup in your hands >Fluttershy didn't join you immediately >She balanced on one leg with impressive grace, and, keeping her teacup perfectly level so as to not spill any, she reached down to pull off one sodden sock >You couldn't help but stare, as you always do when your friends take their socks off >The scent of perfume drifted up towards you >It was like strawberries >At first >Then passionfruit >Then mango >You couldn't quite pin down what fruit it smelt like >Her feet were like a fruit salad of scents >You wondered if they tasted as good as they smelled, for a brief moment >Maybe that toe would be raspberry flavoured, and that one peach flavoured, her big toe would be a juicy grape to suck on, and that one, snozzberry... >So you went down her line of toes in your mind, wondering about their flavours >Okay, maybe it wasn't a 'brief moment', but you sort of lose track of time when purveying bare feet so close to you >you shook yourself out of fantasy as the pink-haired girl sat by your side, having stripped herslef of her socks >She hugged her knees, and pointed her feet to the flames >You smiled as she shifted her butt along the rug to move a little closer to you >"We should huddle together f-for.. warmth" she said, shooting a smile sideways at you >You couldn't tell if the shiver in her voice was her being cold or her nervousness around you >"Sure, Shy" you smiled, amicably placing your arm around her shoulders >She flopped her feet up and down with happy abandon >It didn't really help your efforts in trying not to take in all the details of her petite feet >You're always less obvious than you think, and she sees you looking, and stops >"I... um... I just was doing that to get them warm...er..." she squeeks, lost for words, and blushing profusely >For some reason, she's terribly embarassed >It's really adorable, but you don't want her to feel that way >"Hey, Fluttershy! That's absolutely fine, you go on and do what you need to to keep warm" >"R-really? I'm not embarassing myself in front of you, am I, Anon?" >You smile "Not at all" >Her lips form a calm, soft smile once again, and she shifts her feet around a little >You're trying not to stare, but even while you keep your eyes off her bare feet, the scent of deliciousness wafted, fanned by the flames >"Say, Flutters, are you wearing foot lotion? I think I can smell something fantastic" you remark, nonchalantly >Hah, you 'think' you can smell something >Of course you know it's her feet giving off that wonderful aroma >"Oh, um, yes, I am..." she said, blush already returning to her cheeks >"Twilight gave it to me. I think she said it was magical, but I can't remember for certain. I always put it on before I go out walking, it's really very good for soft skin" >You sniff the air and glance down, an acceptable gesture now the conversation was on the topic of her peds >"Well, I think it smells *really* good" you say to her, demonstrating just how much you want to put your face up against her feet through subtle emphasis on your 'really' >At least, you hope it's subtle >Fluttershy didn't reply for a moment, and for that moment you worried that you'd lost the tantalising conversation piece, or worse, been a little too forward >But after only a couple of seconds, you heard a murmur, a soft voice made even softer >"You could... smell them up close if you want to... I mean, if that's okay with you... no, I... I mean, if you want to..." you heard Fluttershy say in a barely perceptible voice >"You... you wouldn't mind that? Are you sure, Fluttershy?" you ask, placing your cup on the ground >She, too, put her teacup on the ground >She shook her head, and retreated into her green turtleneck, pulling it up to cover her mouth and nose, and rest just below her eyes >"No.. I wouldn't mind..." came the muffled response >You thought for a second >Why were you thinking, you didn't need to deliberate on your choices >Slowly, as to not scare the timid creature connected to the slender, bare leg, you placed a hand on her ankle and calf, lifting up her sole to your face >You'd have compared yourself to a purveyor of fine wine, if it wasn’t so weird to do so >But then again, you were smelling the fruity scent of your friend’s bare feet, so you weren’t one to talk about ‘weird’ >Taking in fantastic breaths of delightfully tropical-smelling feet, you couldn’t help but sigh softly and smile >As this went on, Fluttershy had gradually dropped her turtleneck till her face was showing once again >Her smile showed that she seemed to be enjoying the affection nose-nuzzling on her soles as much as you were >Placing that leg on the ground, you picked up the other, and planted a little kiss on her biggest toe >Just as you had thought, her feet tasted fruity, too >It was the flavour of a tangy apple, though, rather than grape as you’d half-guessed >Can’t win ‘em all >Giving a surreptitious glance towards Fluttershy, you could tell from her relaxed, content face that she didn’t mind the extra attention you were giving her with your mouth >Going between her toes now, your tongue slowly savoured the blend of flavours, the melting pot of built up magic lotion >You had to go see Twilight about this ointment or lotion or whatever it was >You even occasionally tasted what might be called a sweet chocolaty taste, as your tongue went down her sole, leaving a glistening trail of saliva >The fruit was the predominant palette influence, though, and you enjoyed the sweet, calorie-free taste immensely >You suddenly burst out laughing, and have to let her leg down to the floor >Fluttershy sat up, alarmed >”What is it, Anon!?” >”Oh, Fluttershy, it’s… nothing, just stupid. I just couldn’t help thinking for a moment there, you know, I, uh, followed my nose for the fruity taste that shows…?” >She cocks her head to one side, not understanding >”You know, like, the Froot Loops motto, or saying, or whatever? You ever had Froot Loops? Wait, do you guys even have th… never mind” you try to save face but fail miserably >Fluttershy just laughs >”You know, Anon, sometimes you remind me of me, because you’re sort of awkward, sometimes” she says, lifting both her feet up to your face once again >You smile, happy with her unspoken offer to forget embarrassment and awkwardness altogether and savour the taste of her feet once more The end, I guess
