It's been couple years but I suddenly decided that sitting on my ass is not a good idea any more. Without further ado here's some green as a start of chapter 7 of the Tree House. Previous chapters are available here: http://pastebin.com/u/Spylight I don't make promises but I plan that the next update won't take 2 years to make. Enjoy. >Your heart beats faster than ever. >Steady rhythm of its pounding is mirrored by constant repetition of the classy and stylish word "NOPE" as you desperately try to avoid getting savagely raped by smoky tentacle monstrosity that was once your favorite princess. >rape is significantly less funny when it's done to you after all >Another corner, a former dead end with a rotten door you just pass through in a shower of splinters. >You turn your head again, and you don't see the damned smoke behind you anymore. >A thought that you've finally made it quickly flashes through your head. >But it's never that easy >This glance back was your demise as you run right into pulsating smoky mass. >You are quickly engulfed into the smoke, heaving and caughing, with barely enough air to scream some obscene nonsense. >Struggling is super ineffective as you are swept from your feet into the air. >You don't even have the strength to close your eyes, there's barely a thought in your head - mostly registering that you are dangling above the floor. >The smoke clears and... reforms back into the grinning blue-ass princess. >"Ha! Caught you, foul beast! Did you really think you can outrun me in my own castle?" >Not really. Had to try though. >Now let it be said that you were always a quick thinker. Maybe not smart thinker most of the time. But quick decision making was always one of the things that kept you decent in online games and social situations alike. >And getting into this situation you turned back to your old friend - THINKING THE FUCK OUT of it. The traps in the dungeon. The obviously depressed pony, playing sad music in a ruined castle. >The incredible amount of being alive you are experiencing right now after the whole ordeal. >The thrill. >The rush. >The... fun? >And after couple seconds of silently contemplating and catching your breath you finally get your thoughts together. "Woah you got me good there. Great race princess! Well done. Guess I'm it now, so it's your turn to run!" >Silently praying to all the gods you knew of as little as it was probably helping you catch Luna's eyes. >She is clearly caught off-guard and stares at you for couple seconds. >Luna turns her head to the side and >"Thou... You're... it?" >She's buying it! The power of bulshitting compels you! "Yeah! You are supposed to tag me, say that i'm It and run. And I'll try to catch you." >Seconds pass as your heart slowly winds down from the horrifying race. >The beat of blood pressure in your ears dissipates as Luna stares at you dumbfounded by your idiotic statement. >And just like that you drop to the ground like a sack of slightly rotten potatoes. >When you try to meet Luna's gaze again it's not there. >Instead a loud cheer silences the beat of hooves on marble floors. "Tag! Thou art It!"   "Luna come on it's not fair!" >"This game is not about fairness though!" "I mean i can't fly. And I won't get an unrotten ladder anywhere here too!" >"Sounds like your problems to me. And also sounds like you should give up then!" >It's been what feels like HOURS of more running around. >How are you not a dry-heaving mess on the floor now - you don't even know. Never been a marathone runner, and yet - here you are, bruised and battered, covered in dust, spiderwebs and rotten splinters of wood. >The constant taunting, the laughter, several slips and falls. >She even threw a table at your once! Well more like half a table, it wasn't really in the best condition. >And now you are sitting right in the middle of what appears to be the main throne room. Or was a throne room once, rather. >A huge metal chandelier is hanging above. And on top of it sits a very smug looking princess of the night. "Alright. I give up. You win", - you say as you collapse on your back, all the running around finally taking its toll." >"Huzzah! We are victorious! Once again we prevail and show our prowess!" >You sigh, smiling at the mare on top of the world. >Luna gracefully glides down, landing beside you. Her smile fades a bit, leaving a content look behind. >"I have to thank you. Haven't done this in a long, long while" "Yeah that was quite fun. I have not done it in a while too." >Silence between you isn't awkward at all... But it seems she has more to say as she sits next to your heavily breathing body. >"You are quite an intriguing individual" - Luna says staring at the distance. >"I did notice that you thought several times to jump through a window and run away instead of chasing me." >Oh. So she was not totally lost in the moment. >"However you didn't. Perhaps it's the thrill of the hunt that you could not let go of?" "What do you mean?" >"Well you are clearly a predator, judging by your smile?" "Omnivore actually. And I don't eat intelligent life forms." >"That's reassuring. Anyways, my name is Luna, but you seem to already know that. Can you tell me your name?" "Anonymous. Uhh... Pleasure to meet you?" >"Despite how our initial meeting went I'm inclined to say... Likewise." >She extends her hoof to you which you gladly shake, rising from the cold floor. >Hopefully a minute on the marble won't get you sick. No idea what kinds of medicine would actually help you here, and your own stash is extremely limited. >"And what exactly are you doing in our old castle?" "Well to be fair I was planning to do some old-fashioned looting of anything that might seem interesting." >”Oh?” “Yeah. I mean this castle is in the middle of nowhere, has been empty for quite a while…” >”All true. A thousand years without an owner did make quite a number on these old stones…” “Yeah. So I decided that since it’s empty and nobody cares about it I can use something from here to improve my own lair. And just have fun exploring I guess.” >”Fair reasoning, Anonymous. However a building with an owner absent for more than a hundred years becomes property of the crown as per even the current laws.” >Luna chuckles sweetly >”And since it was the property of the crowns even before that – nothing really have changed.” “Well it’s not like there’s a sign stating the ownership outside so… Sorry? I guess? >”Oh that is quite alight. I will not seek vengeance upon you for trespassing.” “Yeah thanks for not throwing me to pony prison, Luna.” >You allow yourself a relieved smile. >”On the other hand I cannot allow you any unsupervised looting at the palace. Considering the fact I wish to find quite a bit of my own items of interest in here.” >Wait. Unsupervised? “Do you mean it’s still ok for me to look around but not alone?” >”Exactly! Would you agree to explore the castle further in my company? And I have the final say on whether you are allowed to take an item or not.” “Dude that would be great! Two friends exploring a creepy old castle? I bet you have all kind of stories and I won’t get lost and fall into a spike trap with you!”   >You are now a far darker shade than your new friend Anonymous. >FRIEND >Take that Celestia! You heard me! I made a Friend and I didn’t even have to go to the idiotic balls and social hangouts you constantly push on me! >Woot! Woot! Who’s the socialest princess of them all? Luna, that’s who! >And screw you this is the word now. >Oh. >You are shaking your head silently not saying anything. >Well that’s embarrassing. >How do you make the damn blush go away. >Damn it Luna, keep you cool in front of the stallion. >Compose yourself. “Yes, that would be a perfect arrangement! We shall begin immediately!” >You happily extend your hoof once more planning to lead the way. >”Uhh…” >He looks around nervously. >Oh no. You are being too forward with this. >Please don’t run away. “I’m sorry if I’m being too…” >”No that’s okay. But it’s starting to get dark outside. And I have a rather long trek back home. So as much as I’d love to…” >You look around and indeed the sun is slowly descending down the horizon. >You have your duties too as you suddenly remember. >An awfully empty night court to return to. >You don’t complain – it allows you a lot of reading and practice into modern speech in front of the mirror. >”But tomorrow, or rather the day after  - that’s another deal. We can start early in the morning!” >Yes! It’s just a delayed activity not a cancelled one! “Oh that would work amazingly.” >”It’s a date then.” >… >? >”Well. See you around, Luna?” >He extends his hand to you. “Yes! Great! Gbye! Take care!” >Emergency teleport! NOW!   >A bright flash blinds you, not even caring that you are Anon once again. >The princess is no more. >What is in front of you is however  a long way back home with darkness starting to fall quickly. >Better hurry up. “Well that could have definitely gone worse”, - you tell yourself as you start to move your feet.
